Background
Ray the Flying Squirrel is a young squirrel and friend of both Sonic the Hedgehog and Mighty the Armadillo. Ray is a very young a naive character who has found himself being captured by Dr. Robotnik on several occasions, although he also serves as a valuable ally. After Sonic rescued Ray and Mighty from their imprisonment on Angel Island, Ray joined up with Sonic in hopes of defeating the doctor.
Eventually, Ray was drawn into the plot of the Phantom Ruby, in which he saw the gem create the Hard Boiled Heavies. Ray travelled through several zones, facing off against not only Robotnik but the Heavies as well. Along the way, the Chaos Emeralds were collected, which allowed for Ray to take on the transformation into Super Ray.

Added Invulnerability, Energy Boost, Statistics Amplification, Healing, and Energy Absorption (They're canonically contained within a hammerspace, and they can restore your energy for your abilities and Super/Hyper form. They serve as an invincible barrier that can allow one to survive lethal attacks from far stronger foes and restore your health. Rings can also increase your abilities, such as your speed)
All abilities of base form are greatly enhanced, Self-Sustenance (Type 3), Spaceflight, Invulnerability, Reality Warping, Aura (Can ram enemies with a boosting aura attack), Fire Manipulation, BFR (Super forms could warp away the Space Colony Ark and Final Hazard, which had the Chaos Emeralds), Empathic Manipulation and Power Nullification (Sonic's Super form reduced Perfect Chaos to its base form and calmed it. He did something similar to Metal Sonic), Forcefield Creation (Super forms can can create a forcefield to constantly protect the user)

Intelligence: Gifted (Is comparable to Sonic, who has been able to thwart Dr. Eggman on multiple occassions. Ray himself has stopped Eggman as well as the Hard-Boiled Heavies, who are extremely potent in combat. Is regarded as similar to Mighty, who himself has been a fighter for several years)
Weaknesses: Seems to be as bad at swimming as Sonic canonically is.
