Background

Ray the Flying Squirrel is a young squirrel and friend of both Sonic the Hedgehog and Mighty the Armadillo. Ray is a very young a naive character who has found himself being captured by Dr. Robotnik on several occasions, although he also serves as a valuable ally. After Sonic rescued Ray and Mighty from their imprisonment on Angel Island, Ray joined up with Sonic in hopes of defeating the doctor.

Eventually, Ray was drawn into the plot of the Phantom Ruby, in which he saw the gem create the Hard Boiled Heavies. Ray travelled through several zones, facing off against not only Robotnik but the Heavies as well. Along the way, the Chaos Emeralds were collected, which allowed for Ray to take on the transformation into Super Ray.

Half of the received damage is transferred to the Ichikoro Gauge), Space-Time Manipulation (Chaos Emeralds can control time and space), Spatial Manipulation (Chaos Control can be used to distort space itself and can create an area of distorted space.
