Background
Torch Man is a Robot Master who appears in Mega Man 11. He originally was manufactured by Tsubakuro Precision Machining as an outdoor advisor that taught campers about fire safety and practiced martial arts to keep the flames coming out from his body under control, but was reprogrammed by Dr. Wily to fight against Mega Man and use his pyrokinetic abilities for destructive purposes. He is a practitioner of Torch-jutsu, a martial art he developed, being particularly good with jumping kicks. His Special Weapon, Blazing Torch, allows Mega Man to fire a ball of red-hot fire diagonally into the air. He speaks with a Japanese Accent.

Standard Equipment
- Power Gear: Power Gear is a red gear that increases the power of robots. When used by Mega Man it makes his default shots bigger (but he can only fire two at a time instead of three) and allows him to shoot two Charge Shots together (a regular charged shot followed by a red colored charge shot), knocking Mega Man back a little due to its power. The Power Gear also increases the power of his Special Weapons. If the Mega Buster is fully charged when the meter reaches its limit, it will be possible to fire an extra-powerful Final Charge Shot, but at the price that the cooldown period from overheating cannot be prevented. Notably even if the gauge meter reaches maximum, Mega Man will not enter cooldown mode while charging until he either fires the Charge Shot, deactivates the gear, or is damaged. If the Shock Absorber part is installed, it can prevent the recoil effect from using these special Charge Shots.
Notable Techniques
- Blazing Torch: Blazing Torch is Torch Man's Special Weapon in Mega Man 11. Torch Man launches a ball of red-hot fire diagonally into the air. Each fire ball comes crashing back down as a searing projectile in the shape of a fiery dragon, reminiscent of Torch Man's blazing kicks. Using the Power Gear, the weapon can be supercharged to fire off three projectiles at once. Blazing Torch can be used to destroy explosive boxes found in Blast Man's stage and Gear Fortress 2.

Standard Tactics: Torch Man spends most of his battle shooting fireballs shaped like fists, occasionally stopping to jump around the room and try to hit his opponent with a well-placed kick. He can either run up to the opponent and perform a sweeping kick, or he can jump up and then come down with a blazing drop kick. When he loses half of his health, Torch Man activates his Power Gear, sets his body ablaze, and jumps around the room while sending giant fireballs rolling on the ground, then jumps into the air and comes crashing down in the middle of the room, creating a massive flame pillar in his wake. He is invulnerable to attack in this state with the exception of a Tundra Storm strike. He returns to his normal pattern after this.
Weaknesses: Has a weakness to Tundra Man's tundra storm. If his data is corrupted, he will be incapable of coming back.

- Torch Man was also the name of a Robot Master in Mega Man 3: The Robots are Revolting, coming 26 years before the current Robot Master.
- Although Torch Man has no NetNavi counterpart in the video games, in the English dub of the MegaMan NT Warrior anime series, FireMan.EXE was renamed TorchMan.EXE.

- Interestingly, it is safer to wait just under Torch Man when he activates Power Gear and goes up, than to wait a little closer to him because when he landed on Mega Man he deals 3 damage but when Mega Man is not under and is not far enough, the fire wall of Torch Man's fall deals 6 damage.
