Chapter 1
When Gohan arrives at The Lookout, he finds no one there. He checks everywhere, until only the Hyperbolic Time Chamber is left. He finds Piccolo there, who tells him the lookout is empty since everyone went camping. Seeing Gohan is wearing his gi, he proposes a sparring match. Gohan wins, with Piccolo saying that his is the kind of strength he would have expected from a Saiyan and that Gohan really has gotten stronger. The two then decide to leave the lookout, with Piccolo saying he can not wait to spar with Goku as well. On the way, they see Gotenks, and hear him saying he found "I found it! That big energy! You can't hide from me!" They tell him to wait but he leaves, and Gohan follows him. Gotenks finds Pikkon, with Pikkon shocked to see Gotenks was the energy that was following him. Gotenks remarks Pikkon is not from Earth and asks why he is here. Pikkon says he is looking for something, nothing to do with Gotenks. He then asks if Gotenks knows Goku. Gotenks says he is his father and his father's biggest rival. Pikkon says that is an odd answer and concludes he must be using the Fusion technique. Pikkon says he is Goku's rival from the Other World and needs to see him, stating that, maybe because he has been there so long, he can not sense him. Gotenks says he does not believe Pikkon yet, and that if he wants to meet his father, Pikkon will have to get through him first. Pikkon wins and says Gotenks is strong but just flailing around. Gotenks then indicates a location, saying Goku is camping there. Pikkon arrive in a rocky wasteland and senses what is definitely a Saiyan. When approaching, he looses it, and Vegeta then appears above him. Pikkon says he is looking for Goku and introduces himself to Vegeta. Vegeta gets angry when Pikkon says that he was Goku's rival in the Other World, saying that Kakarot (Goku) can have all the friends he want, but he IS his rival. The two than have a fight, won by Pikkon. Vegeta then turns Super Saiyan, saying that was enough for a warm-up before the main attraction, still angry that Pikkon said he was Kakarot's rival. Just then, Goku arrives via Instant Transmission, guided by the really amazing energies he felt. Pikkon says he has been looking for Goku and he needs him to come to Hell. The two leave. Gotenks arrives and asks where Pikkon took Goku. Vegeta says he went to the afterlife. Gotenks asks if Goku died again, and Vegeta says not this time. When Krillin arrives and asks Vegeta if he has seen Goku, Vegeta remarks it is excellent that Krillin is here, and asks Krillin to come and kill him now. Vegeta precises Kakarot went to Hell, and he wants to go after him, so he has to die. Krillin says he cannot do that while Vegeta's son is watching, and then propose to use the Dragon Balls to join Goku instead. Krillin, Vegeta, and Gotenks then go to find the Dragon Balls. In Hell, Goku remarks that something is different. Pikkon says that right now, Heaven and Hell alike are in trouble. Goku wants to reach Kibito Kai, but he can't feel him. Pikkon says there is some kind of barrier between worlds. Goku tries a Kamehameha to break the barrier, but it does not do anything. Pikkon says he nearly got caught in the barrier himself, but West Kai sent him outside the barrier just in time. When Goku asks about King Yemma, Kibito Kai arrives and answers that King Yemma was sealed. With King Yemma sealed, the dead are being reborn. Kibito Kai says they can ask Gohan and the others to protect Earth, and then asks Goku to help him protect the Other World. Goku accepts and then asks something to eat, but Kibito Kai says he has nothing. Pikkon and Goku then have a little warm-up before they start investigating, which Goku wins, in order to get some food from Pikkon. Pikkon gives him just a little, saying the dead do not need to eat much. Back on Earth, Gohan says Gotenks went off somewhere with Vegeta, Piccolo is not here yet either, and Krillin headed for the camp. He then sense an energy: Frieza. He has a body and no halo above his head, and is on Earth. Gohan confronts him, and Frieza is honored that someone still knows his name. He says it is time for some fireworks to commemorate his return and that even if he dies again, he might be able to come back. Gohan turns Super Saiyan, and Frieza now remembers and recognizes him as Goku's son. Gohan tries to turn into Great Saiyaman, but he can not; he then remembers his mother did the laundry yesterday and his costume must not be dry yet. He fights and defeats Frieza, but is already worn out yet and remarks he should be stronger than Frieza. Frieza says he is a little tired too and proposes to take a break, saying he will kill Gohan next time and show his body to Goku. Piccolo arrives when Frieza leaves and says he saw the fight, asking Gohan why he could not like he did with Super Buu. Gohan replies that when he fought him, something was odd about Frieza, as was saying he had been resurrected. Gohan then say they have to contact everyone, carefully. The two then split up. Back in the Other World, Goku says nothing seems out of the ordinary, but Pikkon feels something evil in the breeze. Kibito Kai proposes the find the source of that wind, and they then start looking. They reach it thanks Kibito Kai's Kai Kai, and see the gathering energy clumping together. Kibito Kai remarks it is only evil energy that is rising and all coming together, saying that something might have happened after Kid Buu was defeated. He adds that anyone who takes in that energy will surely become evil. Goku then do a Kamehameha from a distance in an attempt to extinguish it, but he just stirred it around some. The energy then begins to change and takes a form: that of a powerful demon who they decide to call Janemba. Kibito Kai asks Goku to defeat Janemba now, before the demon starts moving. Goku turns into a Super Saiyan and beats Janemba. He says that Janemba is using some weird special move, and it is like he knows how Goku moves. He then remarks that there is still more energy taking on a demon-shape and asks Kibito Kai to contact Pikkon, and Gohan and the others while he tries to hold Janemba off, also saying he well need a Senzu Bean after the battle. Once Kibito Kai leaves, Goku turns Super Saiyan 2. Chapter 2
Gohan and Piccolo who were looking at a town, suddenly saw the dead came back to life. Gohan went to investigate and stop them, leaving Piccolo alone. While Piccolo wonders what happened in the Other World, Cell suddenly appeared. Cell asked if Piccolo wants a one-way express ticket to Other World. Piccolo shocked, questions why Cell is here. Cell brushes his question and simply commented that Piccolo should be more worried about facing him. Cell remarks this is the first time he really felt alive since the day he was made. Cell wanted to tear Gohan apart, but remembered that Gohan wouldn't be serious, unless enraged. Piccolo proceeds to transform into his Fused with Kami state. Cell said that he won't kill Piccolo, but will stop just before doing so, and give him to Gohan. Piccolo and Cell battle each other. Cell was impressed, noting that Piccolo has come so far. Piccolo exhausted, said that he won't let Cell touch Gohan, saying that Cell took away Goku's life when Gohan is still a young boy. Cell escapes by using a Solar Flare. Piccolo is frustrated that he falls for this trick again. Gohan arrives, due to sensing Piccolo is in danger. Piccolo aksed if Gohan felt the energy from that fight, to which he did but remarks that there is some kind of fog, making it harder to see from far away. Piccolo comments that something is making it hard to sense energy. Gohan also asked what's going on, now that he can't sense Goku's energy either. Frieza, Cell, and the bad guys are coming back from Hell. As Kami, Piccolo says he could've check there, but can't reach Dende. Gohan thinks that Dende could've went there and got stuck. Gohan asks Piccolo what to do, but he doesn't know what to do and simply told Gohan to deal with the disaster in front of them. They went on to search for Frieza and Cell. Meanwhile in Hell, Super Saiyan 2 Goku is struggling in defeating Janemba. Janemba attacked the now hungry and tired Goku, leading to Goku to return to base form. Janemba began laughing maniacally at Goku. Janemba made a huge energy blast, taking a human form. Turns out, Janemba made a Clone of Goku. Goku asks if the clone is him, the clone says yes. The Clone Goku is excited to fight the real Goku. After defeating the clone, Janemba proceeds to make another one. Goku escapes the fight to reunite with Pikkon. Back on Earth, Trunks says he has found the Dragon Radar. Vegeta asks Trunks where Bulma and the others go. Trunks says that they should've been on the way to the camp but they haven't arrive yet. Vegeta says it's very noisy out here, Trunks asks if they should go and have a look. Vegeta says yes, and asks Trunks to bring Goten along. They went to investigate the noise, to which Vegeta doesn't like the look of this situation. Then he finds Android 18. Vegeta asked what she's doing here and if she's up to no good. Android 18 says that she's not doing anything bad, and also felt evil energy around them. Android 18 says that Vegeta needs to stay here and behave for a moment. Now angered, Vegeta transforms into Super Saiyan and says he's going to fight her. Android 18 says that she's not beaten yet, and the battle has just begun. Vegeta then asks Android 18 to take Goten and Trunks somewhere safe to hide. He also asks if she finds Bulma and the others, to take them to Kame House. Vegeta later stated that Yamcha is the only one at the camp and says he can't rely on Yamcha. Android 18 agrees, (albeit reluctantly) to take Goten and Trunks to hide. Vegeta apologizes to her and prepares to leave, when Android 18 asks why his face is red, telling her to shut up. The player is given two choices: A. Vegeta is fine alone. B. Vegeta should go find Trunks. Chapter 3
After they arrive, Goku tells Kibito Kai about the situation back on Hell. Kibito Kai explains that there is a ring that cleanse the evil energy. He adds that people should always strive for themselves and the others. If they only think of themselves, certain energy is born. The one that doesn't care about themselves can be consumed with evil. Gohan asks if the evil energy gets collected after one dies. Kibito Kai says it works that way, and it's being generated more easily and can spread like contagion. Now that the evil energy also made it's way to Earth, it makes the situation even more dangerous, since good people can also turn evil if affected. Goku suggests using the dragon balls to fix this, Kibito Kai agrees. While Goku, Gohan and Kibito Kai search for the dragon balls, Pikkon stays in case Janemba returns. Gohan and Kibito Kai looked through a hole, they find Cooler. They spot Cooler has a dragon ball, Ultimate Gohan prepares to fight Final Form Cooler, with the latter realizing he's a Saiyan. Gohan orders Cooler to hand over the dragon ball, but Cooler refuses. They prepare for battle. Ultimate Gohan proves too strong for Cooler to handle. Gohan tells Cooler to be nice and hand the dragon ball over, but Cooler escapes by using Instant Transmission. Gohan prepares to make a chase, but Kibito Kai assures him they can wait, since it's only one dragon ball. At Ruins, Goku wonders where the dragon balls are , since they don't have the radar. Frieza reveals he has just found one. Frieza says he's also here for revenge against Goku. Super Saiyan Goku reluctantly agrees to fight 100% Full Power Frieza. Goku manages to defeat Frieza. Frieza says he can't move. Goku states he can transform two more times. Goku exclaims Frieza is done. The player is given two choices: A. Finish Frieza off B. Leave Frieza Chapter 3 Path A
Cell is now at The Lookout, realizing he can always come back despite being killed, and also getting stronger thanks to his Saiyan genes. Pikkon meanwhile, is trying to find the places where the energy is the thickest, when suddenly he feels he is being watched. Pikkon eventually ran into Cell. Cell says he will send Pikkon back to Heaven and transforms into his Super Perfect Form. Pikkon makes sure Cell will eat those words, and they start to battle. Cell eventually gains the upper hand, and then boasts about the Saiyan genes, causing Pikkon to lament Cell's similiarities to Goku's. Cell prepares to finish off Pikkon, but just before he could make the move, they felt someone is also in their vicinity. Cell returns to his Perfect Form and orders "the someone" to come out of their hiding. "The someone" reveals itself as Gotenks, in his Super Saiyan 3 Form, exclaiming he's just waiting for the right moment to put an end to Cell. Having enough of Gotenks' babbling, Cell transforms back into his Super Perfect From and "makes sure it's the time for the brats to take a nap." The two proceed to fight. Despite having difficulties, Cell eventually gained the upper-hand thanks to the evil energy and his Saiyan DNA. Gotenks tells Cell he is "saving something for the rainy day". Cell is shocked that Gotenks is not done yet. Gotenks reveals he has prepared 100 Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack. Cell excited with the challenge, says he only need to evade and fire energy blasts at the Ghosts. After preparing the Ghosts, Gotenks escapes. After having too much fun dealing with the Ghosts, Cell laments himself that everyone got away. While thinking about his next move, Krillin appears. Krillin chastise his bad luck for always running into the villains. Cell is amused by this. Cell would like to ask a question to Krillin. Krillin rejects. But Cell says he would like to do this in a civilized manner. To sweeten the pot, Cell will answer one of Krillin's question. Being outmatched by Cell's power, Krillin agrees to this. Krillin realizes Cell is in his Perfect Form, asking if Cell is going to absorb Android 17 and Android 18 again. Cell asks if that's what Krillin is thinking. Now Cell asked Krillin about the whereabouts of the dragon balls or the radar. Krillin says he can't tell Cell about that, angering Cell. Cell says Krillin can be his hostage while looking for the dragon balls. Scared, Krillin turns into his unlock potential form to fight Cell. Cell manages to defeat Krillin easily. With the defeat of Krillin, Cell uses Krillin as his hostage while waiting for either Goku or Android 18 to come and try to save Krillin. Out of nowhere, someone tells Krillin not to give up. Android 18 tells Cell to let Krillin go, while Krillin tells 18 to get out of here. Taunting 18, Cell wonders if he can still absorb her despite already achieving Perfection, in exhange he will let go of Krillin safe and sound. With no options left, 18 agrees. Cell prepares to give Krillin to her, (albeit throwing him straight to The Lookout) the latter says Krillin is still hurt. Android 18 prepares to fight Cell. Perfect Cell is stronger and better than Android 18. Just before Cell is able to finish her off, Piccolo fires an energy blast at Cell, while Krillin uses a Destructo Disc. Outnumbered, Cell taunts to the three of them that he can still take them on. Chapter 3 Path B

Future Trunks somehow ended up in the present timeline (past from Future Trunks' point of view), due to the distortions among the timelines. While questioning about what's happening, Trunks decides to explore things further. Android 18 spots Trunks, the latter is surprised what she is doing here. Android 18 says she doesn't wish to fight, but too late Trunks has already made up his mind. After the battle, Android 18 manages to calm Trunks down. Trunks realizes he is in the past now. Trunks checks if Android 18 is not up for something bad, Android 18 says no, now that she's a housewife. With Trunks still confused about the situation, Android 18 tells Trunks she is married to Krillin and have a daughter, Trunks is shocked. Trunks asks about the current situation, unfortunately #18 doesn't really know either. Trunks tells #18 that he's going to look for Vegeta, due to the evil nature of his energy. Android 18 says he should go ask Goku about that. Trunks parts with #18 and searches for Goku. Goten asks to Kid Trunks why he's gotten big all of the sudden. Kid Trunks shouts he's over here, and also sees how big Future Trunks is. Goten asks if he's a clone, Pikkon says it's getting suspicious since he's way older. Kid Trunks asks if Pikkon is okay now, the latter says yes. Kid Trunks says they're gonna have a big battle soon, and proceeds to fuse into Gotenks again, with a new record-breaking time with 0.05 seconds. Gotenks calls for Future Trunks, and taunts him that he's going to "peel that mask off like a banana" (referring to the similar looks of Kid Trunks and Future Trunks). Future Trunks is now scared, and asks if there's any Saiyan survivor left besides Broly. The two of them proceeds to fight. After the fight, Future Trunks compliments Gotenks for being this strong, and asks if they are really enemies. Gotenks notes that his energy feels good, nothing's weird about him. Pikkon then punches Gotenks for being impolite and tells him to apologize if he made a mistake. After that, the fusion defuses. Future Trunks is surprised now that he split into two, Kid Trunks tells him about the Metamoran Fusion. Kid Trunks asks if Future Trunks is really his future counterpart, he's heard stories from Vegeta. Future Trunks confirms this. Kid Trunks is happy to meet his future counterpart, and also notes Future Trunks is "like a cool big brother". Kid Trunks asks if Future Trunks arrive here with a Time Machine, Future Trunks explains to Kid Trunks about some kind of hole in space and also felt Majin Vegeta's energy. Goten and Pikkon explains to Future Trunks about the current situation and tells Future Trunks that Majin Vegeta isn't his father. They all start to search for Majin Vegeta. Reaching Plains, they continue to head for the evil energy. They ran into Frieza. This time Future Trunks will fight, because Kid Trunks and Goten already fought before and would like to see Future Trunks in action. Future Trunks transforms into Super Saiyan and sarcastically asks Frieza if he's "still wishing to make the sword dirty". Future Trunks is able to defeat Frieza, but Frieza finds a clock, which Kid Trunks screams Frieza have the Dragon Ball and the radar. Turns out, Frieza manages to steal them from Goten while he's not looking. Before Future Trunks prepares to chase Frieza, Pikkon tells him that he will take care of Frieza, telling Future Trunks to search for Vegeta. Trunks asks Pikkon: A. Future Trunks will look for Vegeta. B. Ask about the Dragon Ball. |

- Ki Energy Based: Through having greater ki, one can nullify the powers done through ki attacks, such as Frieza being able to nullify a hakai ball[58], which fully destroys a target[59], though he is unable to resist a hakai ball from Toppo due to him being stronger[60], this ability however only works on ki, attacks unrelated, characters cannot resist through being stronger, such as how Vegeta, Krillin, & Son Gohan are unable to resist Guldo's psychic powers[61], along with even the likes of Son Goku[62].
- Forcefield Creation (Ki users such as Cell can generate forcefields around themselves[63]. These forcefields can be expanded[64], and used to protect others and defend against attacks far higher then the user[65]. Forcefields effectivel allow the ki user to be able to block substances from other ki techniques, such as poisons[66]. Ki users can also project forcefields around themselves to protect themselves from ki absorptions that require grabbing them and bringing them into one's body[67])
- Super Armor (Through releasing one's ki, they enter a state known as "Hyper Mode"[68], in this state they do not flinch from weak melee attacks[69])
- Self-Destruction (Ki users in Dragon Ball are able to[70] release all of the energy within them[71] to cause a massive[72] self-destruction of energy that normally kills the user and turns them into dust[73] though one can control it to surviving but having no stamina or energy left[74])
- Dormant Power Reservoir (Ki users have a dormant power reservoir within them, as shown in arcs like the Buu Saga where Babidi saps this energy in order to use the energy to revive Buu and break his seal[75])
- Internal Destruction (Powerful ki users can overload enemies with their ki, causing them to swell up and explode from the sheer density of ki within them[76])
- Binding
- Dreaming Existence (Characters in Shin Budokai have shown to create physical bodies in alternate timelines through dreaming[79])
- Non-Standard Interaction
- Intangible Interaction: Those with ki can block intangible attacks when they focus and notices them[80].
- Space-Time Interaction (3+1-D): Characters can blast space-time distortions to close them[81].
- Healing
- Healing Singular Targets
- Advanced Healing: Ki can be used to heal beings, allowing them to survive even with half their torso[82], it can also heal from near death[83].
- Healing Singular Targets
- Resurrection
- Resurrection of the Deceased (Limited): Ki users can resuscitate ones heart from death through instilling lifeforce into their ki and hitting their heart, restarting it[84].
- Resurrection from Exhaustion: Can heal downed allies to give them ki back, reviving them[85])
- Intimidation & Spirit Manipulation (Ki is the manifestation of one’s lifeforce[86], along with the aura giving one the feeling of being crushed[87], exerting fear[88] into the target, sometimes making them incapable of moving as their[89] body is instinctively stuck due to the sheer difference in power[90])
- Link Manipulation & Mind Manipulation (Characters can link their ki together and train within each other’s mind enacting in image training[91])
- Vibration Manipulation
- Electricity Manipulation
- Weather Manipulation (Powerful Ki users can generate entire storms through merely powering up alone, Nappa used this in order to conjure the electricity from the storm[96]. Goku showcases this when he first turns super saiyan, causing a massive lightning storm in the background[97])
- Energy Manipulation (Ki is the latent power in one's body, this latent power allows them to form and create energy from controlling their ki[98])
- Explosion Manipulation (Ki attacks can create massive explosions[101], or control the ki to set off a huge explosion under the enemy[102], or in front of them[103])
- Portal Manipulation
- Non-combat applicable: Characters in GT can link their minds together to open a portal between the living realm and the other world[104].
- Heat Manipulation
- Fire Manipulation (Ki users can manifest fireballs to throw at enemies[108])
- Light Manipulation (Ki can be used as a flash of light[109][110][111][112][113][114][115][116][117], Degisu seeing ki attacks be fired notes that the characters are "firing light from their hands"[118]).
- Aura
- Limited Resistance to
- Durability Negation (Ki users can focus their energy to localize an object to a specific spot to stop them from attempting to destroy their organs/insides[119])

- Martial Arts
- Striking Arts: Before training under Master Roshi, Son Goku was trained by Grandpa Gohan to use techniques such as the jajanken (Rock, Scissors, & Paper) along with being able to deliver punches and kicks while blocking and defending from attacks. Went to train under Master Roshi and learn the turtle hermit style, a style training one to break the wall of humanity[120] mastering the art in both body and mind[121]. This style requires one to train in knowledge[122], work on one's stamina[123] work on their muscles and speed[124] dodge attacks even while tied to a rope in a short range[125] all the while wearing 20-kilo shells[126]. The Turtle Hermit Style are incorporated within this[127], allowing for students that trained under this style to be capable[128] of fighting against other martial artists[129] without needing to be taught any real fighting[130] along with taking no damage from attacks due to the style training their durability[131].
- Spiritual Arts: Told by Master Roshi to go out into the wide world and learn more about life, extending his knowledge and growing further for three years. Trained under Mr. Popo and Kami in the style of not wasting movements and making one's heart still going beyond merely just using one's eyes and being able to tell what actions one has done behind them being capable of seeing weak spots in techniques after only a little exchange.
- Vehicular Mastery (Land Vehicles & Air Vehicles; Able to drive cars, able to fly around in his flying nimbus even during combat)

- Pure Heart (Goku is able to ride the nimbus cloud, which only those of a pure heart can ride. Was directly noted he doesn't have a single bit of evil in his heart)
- Regeneration (Mid-Low; Goku can recover his eye sight back after getting his eyes cut[133])
- Accelerated Development (Training, Physical Stats, Skill, & Abilities; As Goku trains he naturally grows stronger at a much faster rate then any of the earthlings. As an example, in the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament saga, Goku in a few months of training matched Master Roshi, one of the strongest Earthlings. Goku is able to increase his ki allowing him to mimic various attacks and gain access to abilities that even if teachers could not, such as how he was able to access Kaio-ken, which even King Kai couldn't access when he made the move itself)
- Bulletproof (Asides from gag scenes, bullets are unable to pierce him)
- Body Control (By the end of original Dragon Ball he learns the flight technique from seeing Tien and co. do it. Could control his tail to move fast enough to have him briefly fly)
- Afterimage Creation (Could use Jackie Chun’s afterimage technique. Could eventually make an even better version of Chun’s afterimage technique)
- Extrasensory Perception (After drinking the Water of the Gods, Goku was able to sense ki. Goku has been trained by Mr. Popo in learning to hone his sixth sense to be able to notice people attacking him from behind without using his eyes and feeling the environment around him. Goku's able to sense energy even if one's suppressing it[134])

- Summoning (Can summon the flying nimbus)
- Size Manipulation (With the power pole, can give it the command to extend, it is able to extend far enough to take his enemies to the moon)
- Pseudo-Battlefield Removal
- Power Mimicry (Goku has a consistent streak of mimicking abilities he’s seen others use, the most famous being him easily mimicking the Kamehameha, an ability stated by Roshi takes 50 years of practice to use, along with mimicking the demon clan’s air attack abilities and Tien’s Solar Flare, and Goku being capable of mimicking Roshi’s afterimage technique after seeing him use it against Krillin, with Goku even being able to improve upon it)
- Breath Attack (Goku can unleash a great blast of air from his lungs to momentarily stop himself in the air)
- Power Suppression (Statistics Suppression; With ki control, able to suppress one's ki to be able to fight weaker enemies, along with vary it to hide their true strength. - Power Manifestation (Goku is capable of coming up with new abilities)
- Telekinesis (Goku is able to use telekinesis being capable of telekinetically moving water, though this took a lot of concentration)
- Portal Creation (Non-combat applicable; Characters in GT can link their minds together to open a portal between the living realm and the other world[137]),
- Self-Destruction (Goku can self-destruct[138][139])
- Teleportation (Forced Teleportation; With the technique Instant Transmission, Goku can lock a ki signature and teleport to the location instantly)
- Damage Boost (His beam attacks such as the Kamehameha, are far beyond his regular attacks which is an attack that focuses all of Goku's latent energy into a single blast)
- Fusionism (Kid Goku can perform the Fusion Dance. Goku can perform the Fusion Dance).

- Extreme Heats, Extreme Colds, & Air Manipulation (Survived in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for a year, which contains sub-zero temperatures to over one hundred degrees temperatures, along with the chamber having 1/4th the air of the regular world and ten times gravity. Unaffected by the heat of the desert. Can survive within the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, which can have over one-hundred-degree temperatures. In Super Saiyan 4, Goku can withstand heat up to 6000 degrees)
- Illusion Creation (Standard Illusions; When focused, Goku can see into his mind's eye to see through illusions)
- Gravity Manipulation (Can withstand 10 times Earth's gravity)
- Mind Manipulation (The original Super Saiyan was consumed by its own rage and power losing any sense of itself it had, Goku is capable of maintaining Super Saiyan for as long as he wants)

- Extrasensory Perception (Goku erasing his ki makes one unable to sense him)
- Regeneration & Enhanced Senses (The Super Saiyan transformation enhances vision to the extent that glasses become unnecessary, as it significantly improves eyesight beyond normal levels)
- Statistics Amplification (With the Super Saiyan transformation, capable of increasing his power level by a multiplier of 50)
- Light Manipulation (Super Saiyans can light up entire dark rooms)
- Weather Manipulation (The legendary Super Saiyan transformation can cause lightning storms upon one powering up to it)
All previous powers and abilities to a greater extent.
All previous powers and abilities to a greater extent.
- Senzu Beans: Senzu Beans are mystical beans with immense rejuvenation properties, being capable of healing entire wounds, such as one's stomach being punctured.
Notable Techniques
- Rock, Scissors 'N' Paper: A technique taught to Goku by Grandpa Gohan which employs one of three attack styles; either a closed-fist assault, a two-finger jabbing assault, or an open-palm thrust assault. It was Goku's signature attack early on during his childhood, soon afterwards being replaced with the Kamehameha.
- Tail Attack: A technique used by those who have tail in order to attack their opponents. They can use it to whip or constrict the opponent. Goku uses this to break free from Tien Shinhan's Four Witches Technique.
- Double Axe Hand: Goku cups his hands together and reels back, then slams his fists on the opponent.
- Eight-Arm Fist: A physical technique that involves its user moving their arms fast enough that they seemingly have eight of them, allowing them to attack and defend themselves much more efficiently. Used to counter Tien Shinhan's Four Witches Technique.
- Crazy Fist: A distraction technique used by Goku and designed to confuse and taunt the opponent. Pretending to be a wild uncontrollable dog or monkey, Goku catches his opponent off guard, and eventually knocks him out with a swift kick by jumping from behind. Goku uses this in reaction to Jackie Chun's Drunken Fist.
- Tornado!: After calling the name of the attack, Goku spins while rushing on the opponent to attack him/her. Used against Nam.
- Afterimage Technique: Goku creates perfect replica afterimages of himself to give the illusion of him still being in a location making it difficult for the opponent to actually harm his true self.
- Mid-Air Stop: While falling to the ground, Goku exhales his breath like an explosive blast to stop his decent. Goku uses this technique against King Chappa in the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament preliminaries.
- Tail Helicopter: Goku swings his tail in a circle fast enough to hover and fly freely. Used only once, in his fight against Jackie Chun in the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament.
- Agile Style: After his training under Kami, Goku could remove the Weighted portions Turtle School Uniform to increase his power level and agility due to being no longer incumbered by the heavy weights allowing him to utilize a more agile fighting style hence its name. Goku first used it during the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament and later when he confronted his brother Raditz alongside Piccolo. According to Raditz's Scouter, Goku's power level rose from 334 to 416 indicating the weight removal alone increased his power level by 82. This state was named in Dragon Ball Legends (albeit in relation to Piccolo & Pikkon's use of Agile Style) where it is the "base" form used by Goku (DBL22-01S) which represents Goku from the period during which he fought Raditz.
- Dragonthrow: Goku grabs his opponent's arm, leg, tail, or antenna, then he spins and throws them away.
- Meteor Combination: First, Goku charges at the opponent and elbows them away. Then, he attacks the opponent with a powerful barrage of kicks and punches, ending with a heavy punch to their stomach. When the opponent lays on the ground paralyzed, Goku jumps up in the air and fires a Super Kamehameha down at the opponent, inflicting a massive amount of damage.
- Meteor Smash: Goku punches the opponent in the stomach. Then, he punches the opponent away and flies after them to right hook kick them in their face. Finally, Goku axe kicks the side of the opponent's head, knocking them away and inflicting a great deal of damage.
- Bōjutsu: The art of wielding a staff which Goku utilizes when wielding his Power Pole. Goku learned it from the Power Pole's previous owner, his adoptive Grandpa Gohan. Goku's Bōjutsu skills are so great that he can use his Power Pole to deflect bullets as shown during his assault on Muscle Tower. Additionally, due to the Power Pole's mystical length changing properties, his attack range with the Power Pole is much greater than an average staff.
- Kaoi-ken Finish: First, Goku charges at the opponent and kicks them up into the air. Then, he flies up after the opponent and double axe-handle punches them down to the ground. Next, he powers up to his Kaio-ken technique as he charges down at the opponent and double-punches them in their back. Finally, Goku quickly lands on the ground and catches the opponent on their back before throwing them onto the ground, inflicting a great deal of damage.
- Kaoi-Ken Attack: Goku powers up to Kaio-ken x3 as he charges at the opponent and roundhouse kicks them up into the air. Then, he flies up in the air and punches the opponent away. Next, he flies up over the opponent and down behind to double kick them further up into the air. Finally, Goku flies up into the air around the opponent and hook kicks them down into the ground, inflicting a huge amount of damage.
- Ki Blast: The most basic energy attack, Goku creates a small form of energy that he blasts at an opponent, usually he uses this to keep his distance from an enemy or to distract them so he can land another attack.
- Kiai: A technique where Goku affects the air currents around him with ki to produce powerful shockwaves in order to strike the opponent at mid-range.
- Kamehameha: Goku's signature move since obtaining it. It unleashes a powerful and long-stretching blue energy blast from his cupped hands. Goku first learns the move as a kid after witnessing Master Roshi using it. It can be charged to compete with practically any enemy attack. Since mastering this technique, Goku has continued to improve on it and develop new variations of it.
- Spirit Bomb: Easily Goku's most powerful techniques and arguably the strongest in the series, it allows Goku to channel ki from all sources of life that he can detect and focus it all into a single energy ball. It was taught to him by King Kai during his training for the upcoming battle against Vegeta and Nappa. Over time, Goku continually learned to expand the range of which he could gather energy, thereby increasing both the size and power of the Spirit Bomb. He reserves this technique as a last-ditch effort for only the most powerful of foes.
- Instant Transmission: Goku learns this technique on the Planet Yardrat after his battle with Frieza by learning Spirit Control - which also allowed him to sense ki from a much greater distance. This technique allows him to teleport to any location so long as he can find an energy source to home onto. However, it also greatly extends his ability to sense energy. Noticeably in Yo Son Goku, he seemingly improved on the technique as transports to the radish field without sensing anyone, possibly because he had accurate enough knowledge of where it is.
- Solar Flare: Goku places his hands close to the center of his face with the fingers spread toward his eyes. He then calls out the name of the technique, which provokes a white light to fire out and blind everything watching except him, since he is projecting the light.
- Great Ape: Like all Saiyans, Goku can transform into a Great Ape when absorbing enough blutz waves, usually from looking at a full moon, while still having his tail, though not of his choosing. As a Great Ape, Goku's dormant Saiyan traits re-emerge, and he becomes feral and violent. His power and senses increase 10-fold and are able to generate powerful mouth blasts. However, because his tail was removed permanently Kami when restoring the moon, Goku lost access completely to this form.
- Unlock Potential: After drinking the Ultra Divine Water and surviving its painful side-effects, Goku's true potential was released, apparently in the form of accessing Great Ape in his base form. This was seen by his natural aura manifesting as an image of a Great Ape surrounding him, essentially absorbing the power of the Great Ape into himself. The power boost not only enabled him to fight on par with King Piccolo in his prime, who previously decimated Goku in his frailer elderly state, but it also heightened Goku's senses and instincts, able to detect the location of people's ki.
- Kaoi-ken: Goku learns this technique while training under King Kai after dying against Raditz. While using it and any of its multipliers, Goku's various capacities and techniques are all proportionally increased. However, the strain of using too high a multiplier and/or for too long can be dangerous and greatly damage his body. As such, he ceased using it after his gaining Super Saiyan. While he can combine the two powers, Goku never tried this while alive as doing so could lead to near-certain death. Later, however, with his Super Saiyan Blue, taking advantage of his divine form's superior energy control and more naturally calm mindedness, he was able to use this technique more regularly.
- Super Saiyan: Goku achieves this form in a rage after Frieza killed Krillin. In this form, Goku's muscle and height slight increase and his skin turns lighter. His eyes become noticeably sterner and more defined with green eyes. His hair becomes blond and stands with no loose strands. His power also generates a yellow aura. In the anime, when unleashing the full intensity of his power, Goku's aura also produces some slight electrical sparks. Goku's demeanor is greatly affected by this form, making him more aggressive and irritable.
- Super Saiyan Second Grade: Realizing that the androids' power exceeds a Super Saiyan, Goku entered the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to surpass the basic Super Saiyan form. Ultimately, Goku unlocked this form after weeks of training. However, Goku realized that this form spends too much ki to be maintained. Rather than attempting the more arduous and time-consuming task of refining this form, Goku came to the conclusion that the basic Super Saiyan form is better suited for combat, making a plan to master it and abandon this form completely. As a result of this and discovering more powerful forms, this form is never used again.
- Super Saiyan Third Grade: Along with Second Grade, Goku achieves this form in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. While vastly stronger than Second Grade, the power output is too intense, causing Goku's muscles to become engorged from the struggle of maintaining this unsteady power boost. This instability drained his ki too fast to be of use for long. It also causes an extreme drop in his speed and agility, tiring him even more and reducing his effectiveness overall. Goku noted that while much stronger than Semi-Perfect Cell, it meant nothing if he could not actually hit his foe with it. This made this form impractical against foes of any real speed. Instead of training to overcome this problem, Goku decides that simply mastering the basic Super Saiyan, feeling that it is the best way to fight and gain power. As such a result, this form is never used again.
- Mastered Super Saiyan: After realizing the weaknesses inherent to the higher Super Saiyan grades, Goku concluded that mastery over the basic Super Saiyan form would be more beneficial. He used the remainder of his time chamber training learning to maintain Super Saiyan for extended periods. Gradually, he overcame the heightened aggression and uneasiness that accompanies this form to feel as natural as his base form, reducing the energy drain to nothing and increasing his endurance to achieve a max output for this form without drawbacks even in regular life. Ultimately, he is able to enter, maintain, and fight in this form for as long as he desires at its full potential with no loss in efficiency or performance. In the anime, with this mastery, during the Tournament of Power, Goku - having gone well-beyond his limits - was able to flash between base and Super Saiyan to defeat Jiren alongside Frieza despite his battered and exhausted state.
- Super Saiyan 2: Goku achieved this form at some time after Cell's defeat while in the Other World. In this form, Goku gains some changes; his hair becomes spikier, his forehead has only three bangs over it, making his hair more defined than his other previous Super Saiyan forms. His muscles also become more defined, and his aura also generates electricity surrounding his body, while the aura grows markedly larger and more vibrant. Since gaining greater forms, Goku reserves this form for opponents he takes semi-seriously.
- Super Saiyan 3: Goku's strongest form in the original manga and anime. Goku achieved this level after years of training in Other World, where he could put unlimited energy into this form. In this form, his hair reaches down to his thighs and his eyebrows vanish completely while making the forehead and eye ridges larger and more prominent. His muscle mass grows noticeable larger more defined while his eyes gain green irises. His aura also becomes rounder with larger electrical sparks. Goku first used this form against Innocent Buu during the Majin Buu Saga, where he had a slight advantage over the Majin. However, this form is extremely draining in terms of energy due to the living world having less energy to siphon. This made him tire fast and even cut Goku's time left on Earth from hours to a mere thirty minutes after using this form for a short time. When attempting to gather enough energy to defeat Kid Buu, he was unable to sustain it as he had not taken into account the strain overcoming his living body, and soon reverted to his base state. Altogether, these heavy disadvantages make it impractical to use this form out of the afterlife and even more while alive.
- Fusion Dance: A short series of poses that are performed by two characters of equal power levels and roughly equal size. To correctly perform the Fusion, the fuses must strike the poses in a perfectly symmetrical image of one another. The result of a correctly performed Fusion Dance is a superior being whose power is multiplied several-fold over that of the individual fuses.
Other
Standard Tactics: Goku is a trained and gifted martial artists who has always kept the same tactics when entering battle. Goku will size up his opponent to see where their strengths and weaknesses lay, see how strong they are, and dish out various martial arts attacks and techniques to overwhelm his opponent. Goku will never immedieatly go all out from the start unless he fully needs to and will usually start with warm ups.
Weaknesses
- Standard Ki Weaknesses: Ki users that do not have sufficient training over their emotions put their power within a mental lock, with changes to their emotions can seriously limiting their powers or making them uncontrollable[144]. Their emotions can also have them instinctively block using the full power of their attacks out of fear of the destruction along with lack of confidence in themselves[145].Ki users can only sense targets moving at super speed through feeling their chi[146], with them becoming so accustomed to tracking energy that they've lost their eyes for movement[147]. Ki users can get hit by off guard attacks from characters far slower then them[148]. If ki users are paralyzed or their nerves are numb, they can be killed by much weaker attacks[149]. If a Ki user is inflicted with any kind of status, disease, or poison, powering up or transforming will put further strain on the body[150] and can speed up the process of poison[151]. Users of Ki Sensing cannot sense beings that invisible, even if the character is in front of them attacking them, they have a hard time countering them due to being invisible[152]. Users of Ki Sensing also have a harder time sensing the true being using illusions, requiring them to focus in on energy fields to see who is moving and who is casting the illusion[153]. Due to the nature of ki draining stamina and energy, Dragon Ball characters ki usage requires them to usually use their higher levels of energy in short bursts, using a large amount of ki overtime can greatly weaken them to the point that characters far lower then them can actually harm them with attacks[154]. Taking large amounts of damage can greatly deplete a ki users attacks, making it where attacks that would otherwise kill massively weakened characters, only pushes them back[155]. Ki users cannot put all of their ki and strength into an attack if parts of their body are broken/injured[156][157], they also lose half of their chi if something like one of their arms are badly injured or broken[158].Ki users that are able to ki sense cannot do it when their guard is dropped, such as when Vegeta was able to sneak attack Son Goku during the end of their fight in the Buu Saga[159]. Despite some ki users being able to reach blasts that can destroy planets through charged attacks or techniques[160][161][162][163], they have not shown to be able to tank such blasts themselves[164][165][166], with attacks that have[167] destroyed several[168] planets in the series[169] always killing the character. Even characters such as Majin Buu's body cannot withstand the energy of a planet exploding[170]. Using ki volley attacks come with the caveat of their aim being rather poor, making it harder to hit moving targets. If ki users are at all possessed, even by accident, their true self will be sleeping within, with the possessor needing to awaken them[171]. Even if awoken, they are immobilized and unable to move without the possessor giving them the ability to[172], even with them wanting to wake up, they cannot do it[173]. Specific waves can can suppress a ki users power, and put their consciousness to sleep[174]. If Ki users stamina is broken, they will unable to be able to continue fighting for a short while, this will also cancel out any ki attack they were attempting to use, including ultimate's[175], this also adds on that ki users guards are down while charging ultimate attacks. Their stamina can also be broken if a character moves far too fast and surprise attacks them while they're charging their ki[176]. Ki Users can also be grabbed out of charging their attacks[177]. When ki users radiate their Ki at its highest, their body is also freed the most, making them open to attacks and making them easy to possess[178]. Ki attacks can be blocked by magma based attacks, such as even when Vegeta's strongest charged blast, the final flash, was being blocked by Magetta's magma[179]. Ki users have far lower reactions and speeds when they do not have their ki up or are not on guard, such as when Mai's sniper would've hit Goku Black if she didn't miss[180].
- Turtle Hermit Style Weaknesses: As the style does not incorporate any real fighting techniques[181], it has a heavy reliance on durability[182], stamina[183], muscles and speed[184], along with agility[185], thus anyone with superior statistics then them can easily overpower this style[186], along with this any character capable of using attacks that bypass defense altogether such as pressure point strikes can easily overcome a turtle hermit style user, even if they use extra forms and techniques to heighten their defenses[187]. Thus anyone with techniques that ignore statistics or are simply higher in statistics than a Turtle Hermit Style user can easily overcome this style.
- Saiyan Weaknesses: Saiyans cannot survive in the vacuums of space[188]. If the moon is at all destroyed, they cannot transform into Great Apes. Along with this if their tail is cut off or they have no tail, they will not be able to turn into a Great Ape. Saiyans used to having their tails can feel off balance with it removed.
- Unique Weaknesses: Goku will not immediately go all out during a battle to size up his opponent and see how strong they are unless he openly needs too, making his guard low in some cases. Goku notes he's at a disadvantage when fighting underwater[192].
Note
- Dragon Ball Z Shin Budokai's english script is heavily mistranslated with characters going off on tangents that make no sense, replying to different conversations, many typos, and writing errors. Such as a conversation between Vegeta and Android 18 where they went from talking about continuing the fight to Vegeta out of nowhere asking Android 18 to take Trunks and them away from the camp. Due to this, take a lot of the statistics and justifications with a grain of salt as there is no official updated translation that fixes these errors.
- Some clips used on the profile come from an anime or movie due to the fact that some abilities from ki use shouldn't function much differently from how they can in canon, along with this sometimes the anime version/video game version of a scene will be used for cleaner visuals. Toriyama himself directly overlooks scenes in the anime and movies and gives Toei the thumbs up[193].
- The speed scaling for PLs are taken with a grain of salt as there are noticeable times where someone's speed isn't equal to their power, such as Burter being faster then Recoome and Jeice, along with Super Saiyan Grade 3 Trunks having his power greatly increased but his speed decreased.

Q: What about the planetary feats in Dragon Ball?
A: Planetary feats are normally done through their strongest charged blast, where they can gather ki to shoot out blast far beyond what the character is normally capable of[194], with blasts capable of[195] seriously damaging/destroying[196] the Earth along with completely obliterating the opponent[197], though they themselves are never capable of leaving this unscathed.
Frieza throws a destroy the planet death ball attack but it doesn't destroy the planet. Goku then interestingly notes the reason the planet didn't blow up is because Frieza was too scared of getting caught in the blast[198] . Vegeta's final flash is noted it's going to destroy the planet and Perfect Cell, who is beyond Vegeta, couldn't tank the blast and had to dodge it last second or it would've killed him[199]. Goku's kamehameha was going to destroy the earth and Cell cannot tank this blast, needing to regenerate[200]. Semi-Perfect Cell explosion was consistently noted it was going to destroy the planet and Gohan and it killed Goku[201]. Ultimate Gohan dies to an attack that destroys the earth, his guard was up too since this was when he was fighting Super Buu[202]. Kid Buu shoots a blast trying to destroy the planet, with Vegeta noting he's going to take himself out with it if he lets it off[203]. In Dragon Ball GT, Great Ape Baby Vegeta shoots a super galick gun that he claims will destroy Earth, when Goku is hit by it, he is knocked out to the point that he can't move for a good while, Elder Kai and Shin later state that Baby is going to shoot another blast that will destroy the planet on, greatly injuring Baby if he's caught in the Blast and will kill everyone on the planet if done[204]. Frieza destroyed the entire earth, killing Vegeta in the process[205]. In the Dragon Ball Super Manga, Gohan tells Goku that he doesn't need to hold anything back and can go all out because anything that happens to the Earth can be restored with Dende and the Dragon Balls. Yet, none of Goku's all out attacks destroy the planet but just heavily causes shockwaves around it[206]. Semi-Perfect Cell unleashes a several blast that destroys several islands Android 16 notes that the attacks are just strong enough to not kill Android 18[207].
In the fight of Trunks vs. Mecha Frieza, who is far stronger than his final form, Mecha Frieza immediately goes for his strongest attack, the Supernova. In the original Z anime King Kai even states this is ten times stronger than the power he used on Namek:
- DBZ Kai Version[208].
- Original DBZ Anime Version[209]. The attack is directly noted that it could destroy the planet, but doesn't because Trunks catches it, when Mecha Frieza proceeds to detonate it, the explosion is massive but the planet is still intact, implying Frieza must target the core in order to destroy the planet.

First Appearance: chapter 4
Category: vehicle
Explanation: A mystical cloud which Goku received from Kame-sennin. It was originally a part of the giant Kinto-un owned by Karin-sama, and long ago Kame-sennin broke a piece off and took it with him. In the past it was wiped out by Tambourine, and the current Kinto-un is the second generation. Goku went through many adventures with it, and it was passed on to his son Gohan.
Special Characteristics: An extremely mysterious riding cloud. It freely flies through the air in accordance with its rider's will, going from stationary to its maximum speed of mach 1.5. Though it's very convenient, only those with pure hearts can ride it. If those with wicked thoughts get on the cloud, they will simply plunge through it. Also, it will soon reconstruct itself even when hit by attacks from bombs or missiles, and will only be wiped out when attacked by a Demon Clansman's ki. (Daizenshuu 4, p.144)
Anime: In the anime version the pure-minded Namu also rides it, as do Panji and Norimaki Arale in the movies." - ↑ Dragon Ball Z Buu Saga
