~ Xeno Goku as he prepares to go all out
I'm a Son Goku that is from a different dimension than yours. My job is capturing dimension-crossing evil-doers.

Background

Xeno Goku is an incarnation of Son Goku from a world separate to the main timeline. He is a member of the Time Patrol.

This dropdown contains the synopsis of Xeno Goku’s story. Read at your own risk as you may be spoiled otherwise!

Xeno Goku's timeline closely mirrors that of his main universe counterpart, experiencing events such as the Frieza and Cell Sagas. Unlike his main timeline version, he also encounters the events of Tree of Might, Lord Slug, and Fusion Reborn, as well as the entirety of Dragon Ball GT and battles the Shadow Dragons. He also faces Broly in combat. Xeno Goku has not experienced the events of Dragon Ball Super and is unaware of transformations like Super Saiyan Blue until encountering his main timeline counterpart.

Dark Demon Realm Saga
Chronoa identifies Xeno Goku as a potential ally for Xeno Trunks in response to the appearance of Demigra. Xeno Goku is summoned from his timeline and inducted into the Time Patrol. He and Xeno Trunks train together in a time-distorted environment for what appears to be six months, though only three days pass in real time.

Dark Empire Saga
Xeno Goku’s first mission involves correcting an altered history in which Frieza, empowered by the One-Star Dark Dragon Ball, overwhelms Goku. Xeno Goku and Xeno Trunks intervene and assist the main timeline Goku. Xeno Goku participates in a joint attack with Goku while Xeno Trunks finishes the encounter.

His next mission concerns an altered timeline with Xeno Majin Buu and the Three-Star Dark Dragon Ball. During the conflict, Dabura intervenes, and Buu absorbs him. Xeno Trunks, Xeno Vegeta, and Xeno Goku respond to the situation. Xeno Goku fuses with Xeno Vegeta into Xeno Vegito. A figure named Chamel interrupts the battle, allowing Buu to escape.

Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta are later taken to Hell, where they engage Shroom while Chamel confronts Towa. Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta fuse into Xeno Gogeta in order to battle Shroom. Their fusion expires, and Xeno Goku passes through a portal, leaving Xeno Vegeta to continue fighting.

Through the portal, Xeno Goku reaches the Demon Realm, encountering Super Saiyan 4 Dark Broly fighting Demon Goddess Towa. Towa and Xeno Paragus intervene but are incapacitated. Mira appears and absorbs Towa, transforming into a stronger form to engage Broly. Xeno Goku transforms into Super Saiyan 4 to assist. The battle ends with a large energy explosion that incapacitates Xeno Goku and Broly, leaving Mira standing.

Xeno Goku rejoins the Time Patrol to confront Mechikabura’s forces. He fuses with Xeno Vegeta into Super Saiyan 4 Xeno Gogeta during battles against Shroom and other opponents.

Dark King Mechikabura Saga
Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta recover from injuries accelerated by Tokitoki and return to the Time Nest. They engage Xeno Shadow Dragons, including Xeno Omega Shenron. After the encounter, Demigra offers a temporary truce.

In the manga, the Time Patrol is sent to Age 790, witnessing Gogeta against Omega Shenron. They encounter mind-controlled allies and enemies, including Majuub. Demigra, Chamel, and Robelu appear alongside Towa and Dabura in Demon God form. Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta fuse into Xeno Gogeta. Chamel teleports them to Demigra’s lair and explains the six Hell Gates, each guarded by a Demon God. Xeno Goku passes through the Blue Hell Gate and defeats its protector, Salsa, using physical attacks and energy blasts.

He is later incapacitated by Chronoa and struck by Mechikabura’s dark energy. Xeno Trunks channels energy from the Saiyans, transforming into Super Saiyan God. Xeno Goku and the Time Patrol assist in the final battle, fusing into Super Saiyan 4 Xeno Vegito to allow Trunks to deliver the final blow. The Time Nest is restored afterward.

Prison Planet Saga
Xeno Goku allows himself to be captured to investigate Fu’s operations on the Prison Planet. He encounters his main timeline counterpart and engages in battle. Fu informs them of the need to retrieve seven Special Dragon Balls. Xeno Goku, possessing the One-Star ball, searches for the remaining Dragon Balls.

He is ambushed by Majin Ozotto, who steals his Dragon Ball. Xeno Goku reunites with Xeno Vegeta to destroy Fu’s laboratory. They fuse into Super Saiyan 4 Xeno Vegito to confront Super Saiyan 3 Cumber, then defuse to battle Fu, who transforms into Super Fu. The planet nears destruction, and Xeno Goku participates in the evacuation.

Universal Conflict Saga
In the anime, Xeno Goku returns to Beerus’ Planet, teleports away, and is not present for subsequent events.

Universe Creation Saga
Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta intervene during a battle involving Goku, Vegeta, and Xeno Trunks against Beerus. They investigate the Universe Tree and engage Dr. W in Hell. Both transform into Super Saiyan 4 and participate in battles against Dr. W and Janemba. The group combines energy to reach Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker form, defeating Janemba. They are transported to the Crack of Time by Putine’s magic.

Towa restrains the Time Patrol, extracting energy for Fu. Xeno Goku breaks free but is struck by Mira.

New Space-Time War Saga
Xeno Goku fuses with Xeno Vegeta into Xeno Gogeta to battle Fu but is defused after being overpowered. Chronoa merges their Ki for a combined Kamehameha, which breaches Fu’s barriers. Xeno Goku intercepts an attack intended for Chronoa.

Supreme Kai of Time Saga
Xeno Goku participates in Aeos’ Space-Time Tournament with fellow Time Patrollers. He encounters Goku and begins a rematch while in Super Saiyan 4 form, which is interrupted by Time Fairies returning them to the main hall to continue the tournament.

Appearance

Xeno Goku as he appears in Super Dragon Ball Heroes.

General Description: Xeno Goku is a tall, muscular man resembling his father, Xeno Bardock. He shares the same spiky black hair, dark eyes, and facial structure, though his expression and features are slightly softer. His skin tone is fairer, similar to his mother, Gine.

Facial Features: He has five distinct spikes of hair standing upward, three bangs falling to the right of his forehead, and two to the left. His hair remains one of his most recognizable traits. His eyes are dark and focused, reflecting his calm and determined personality.

Clothing/Outfit: As a member of the Time Patrol, Xeno Goku wears a black short-sleeved shirt and pants with blue armbands, blue leg wraps, and black kung fu shoes. Over this, he wears a red vest with a long back, fastened by a blue obi around his waist. He also carries the Power Pole on his back and a pouch of Senzu Beans tied to his obi. This uniform is designated as his official Time Patrol attire.

Alternate Outfits: Before receiving his uniform, he wore a plain Turtle School Gi. During the Dark King Mechikabura Saga, he adds a black trench coat over his standard outfit.

Special Features: Xeno Goku does not have his Saiyan tail in his normal state, though it reappears when he transforms into Super Saiyan 4.

Personality

  • Temperament: Xeno Goku maintains the same cheerful and friendly nature as his main counterpart, though he carries himself with a more mature and grounded attitude befitting his role as a Time Patroller.
  • Sense of Duty: His responsibilities have made him more disciplined and aware of the consequences of battle, preferring to end fights quickly when they threaten the stability of time or the multiverse.
  • Battle Spirit: Despite his restraint, he still enjoys combat and values strong opponents, often viewing battle as both a form of self-improvement and a way to protect history.
  • Respect for Strength: Xeno Goku seeks out worthy rivals such as his main timeline counterpart, appreciating the challenge while ensuring no harm comes to others in the process.
  • Adaptability: Although initially hesitant about wearing his Time Patroller uniform, he grows comfortable in it, showing a willingness to adapt and focus on the task at hand.
  • Humor and Lightheartedness: He retains his lighthearted and humorous side, teasing companions like Xeno Trunks for his over-the-top hero antics, much like his counterpart’s reaction to Gohan’s Great Saiyaman persona.
  • Purpose and Motivation: Beneath his enthusiasm lies a clear sense of purpose—he fights to safeguard history itself, finding joy in the chance to face strong foes while ensuring the multiverse remains protected.

Potential

  • Potential Type: Transcendent Potential
  • Potential Level: Transcendent
  • Description: Goku is well-known for constantly surpassing his limits, even breaking through previously unattainable barriers, Vegeta makes reference that he and Goku will keep breaking their limits the more they fight. Though he has a maximum power level, his ability to continually transcend it makes his potential nearly limitless.
  • Limitations: Goku cannot constantly transcend his limits and will have points where he is not strong enough to deal with the threat. Some examples include his fight against Cell where he knew he wasn't strong enough to beat him and opted for his son Son Gohan to defeat Cell. Another example is his fight against Beerus where even though he broke his limits a couple of times, he at the end could not overcome Beerus' power.

Archetypal Tiering: Battle Junkie / Understudy (To Master Roshi originally)

Intelligence: At least Below Average, possibly Above Average academics wise (While training with Master Roshi he learned about Math & Calculus, though Goku has displayed he can’t count beyond 18 after being explained to him what comes after 18 he was able to quickly count past it, along with this he has shown to have better understanding academically of situations), Genius Intelligence combat wise (Copies a kamehameha after seeing it once, which is supposed to take 50 years to learn according to Roshi, copied Master Roshi’s ultimate technique the afterimage after seeing it done, could copy Tien’s solar flare and his flying technique and could copy the demon clan’s air ki techniques. Goku is an incredibly skilled fighter to the point that he is able to easily outskill trained Martial Artists such as Krillin and Yamcha and match prodigies such as Tien and even nearly beat his Master, Roshi, after training with him for a few months)

Powers and Techniques

All previous powers and abilities to a greater extent.

Son Goku is a user of the Key Sword, which gives him:

Equipment

  • Power Pole: A magical, length-changing staff originally used by Xeno Goku in his youth. In World Mission, Chronoa acquired it and gave it to Xeno Goku to wield as a Time Patroller.
  • Senzu Bean: Mystical beans with immense rejuvenation properties. In World Mission, he is provided with a bag a Senzu Beans by Chronoa along with his Power Pole and Time Patrol Uniform.
  • Potara: Earrings worn by Supreme Kais and their apprentices. Despite being worn so casually, they have incredible properties, allowing two individuals to fuse or permitting the wearer to use the Time Rings.
  • Turtle School Gi: A markless version of Gi worn by members of the Turtle School. In World Mission, Xeno Goku briefly wears this before switching to his official Time Patrol Uniform provided by Chronoa. According to Goku, it feels weird wearing clothes other than his normal Gi.

Notable Techniques

  • Flight: The ability to take flight through the manipulation of ki.
  • Ki Blast: The most basic form of energy wave.
  • Kaio-ken: Xeno Goku learns this technique after dying against his world's Raditz while training under King Kai. While using it and any of its multipliers, Xeno Goku's various capacities and techniques are all proportionally increased. However, the strain of using too high a multiplier and/or for too long can be dangerous and greatly damage his body.
  • Bojustu: Due to having wielded the Power Pole in battle as a weapon since childhood like his counterparts, Xeno Goku is master of the art of fighting with a staff specifically the Power Pole which has greater range compared to a traditional staff thanks to its magical property to change size. However as a Time Patroller, Xeno Goku wields the Power Pole which Chronoa provided for him. In the manga version of the Dark King Mechikabura Saga, Xeno Goku uses the Power Pole in his battle with Demon God Salsa who was guarding the blue Hell Gate, using the pole's ability to extend to catch the Demon God off guard showing his skill with the weapon hasn't diminished despite having wielded it very little in his adult life.
    • Sudden Halberd Great Fist: Xeno Goku repeatedly hits the target with the Power Pole, knocking them into the air, and finishes by extending the pole into their chest to launch them away. Xeno Goku's Super Attack in his Super Saiyan form during the Universe Creation Saga in Dragon Ball Heroes.
  • Kamehameha: A powerful ki blast fired with two hands after concentrating a large amount of ki.
    • Super Kamehameha: A stronger version if the Kamehameha invented by Xeno Goku and his counterparts within their respective timelines. Xeno Goku's Super Attack in his base form in World Mission.
    • 10x Kamehameha: Xeno Goku fires a power Kamehameha 10 times stronger than usual in Super Saiyan 4.
    • Instant Kamehameha: Used by Super Saiyan 3 Xeno Goku as his Super Attack in Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle and Dragon Ball Heroes. In World Mission, it is named Warp Kamehameha.
    • Instant Transmission 10x Kamehameha: Used by Super Saiyan 4 Xeno Goku as his super attack in Dragon Ball Heroes. In World Mission, it is named x10 Warp Kamehameha.
    • God Kamehameha: A powerful variation of the Kamehameha.
  • Super God Shock Flash: Goku places hand with his index and middle fingers out near his opponents chest then makes a fist to deliver a hard punch to the opponent's gut that blasts them away with a powerful shock-wave. Used by base Xeno Goku as his super attack in Dragon Ball Heroes. In World Mission, it is named Super Dragon Flash.
  • Dragon Fist: A rush technique that causes a giant gold serpentine-dragon to appear as the user punches through their opponent's body.
    • Full Power Dragon Fist: A much stronger variant used by Xeno Goku in his Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker form.
    • Double Ultimate Dragon Fist: Two Dragon Fists, one used by Xeno Goku and the other used by a partner in a team attack.
      • Limit Breaker Double Ultimate Dragon Fist: A variant of Double Dragon Fist, Xeno Goku and a partner both using Limit Breaker Dragon Fists in a team attack.
  • EX Spirit Bomb: A type of CAA Special Ability and stronger version if the Spirit Bomb used by Xeno Goku in World Mission. Number of ally supporters boosts DMG. Only 1 card with EX Spirit Bomb type CAA Special Ability can be activated once per battle.
    • EX Spirit Bomb Enervator: A variation of EX Spirit Bomb used by Xeno Goku in World Mission. When Goku is an Attacker from R2 onwards, use EX Spirit Bomb Enervator during his Attack Phase. Successfully perform card action to deal DMG to enemy. Number of allies boosts DMG. Ace for a permanent -2000 PWR to all enemies.
    • Unknown EX Spirit Bomb: A variation of EX Spirit Bomb used by Super Saiyan 4 Xeno Goku in World Mission. When Goku is an Attacker from R2 (Round 2) onwards, use Unknown EX Spirit Bomb during his Attack Phase. Successfully perform card action to deal DMG to enemy. Number of allies boosts DMG. Ace for a permanent -3000 PWR to all enemies & permanently increase enemy team CI (Charge Impact) speed.
  • Spirit Control: An advanced ki manipulation ability that allows its user to achieve a multitude of abilities.
    • Instant Transmission: A technique for traveling long distances instantly. This action is usually accompanied by the user placing his index and middle fingers on his forehead to help him concentrate, though if extra time is taken the technique can be performed without this aid.
  • Fusion Dance: A short series of poses that are performed by two characters of equal power levels and roughly equal size. To correctly perform the Fusion, the fusees must strike the poses in a perfectly symmetrical image of one another. The result of a correctly performed Fusion Dance is a superior being whose power is multiplied several-fold over that of the individual fusees.

  • Super Saiyan: During his battle with Frieza on Planet Namek, Xeno Goku achieved this legendary transformation prior to becoming a Time Patroller. In this form, Xeno Goku gains a slight increase in muscle and height and his skin turns lighter. His eyes become noticeably sterner and more defined with green eyes. His hair also becomes blond and stands with no lose strands. His power also generates a golden aura which showcases the intensity of his power from electrical sparks radiating in his aura. This form multiples his power exponentially, from ten times to fifty times depending on the sources stated by guidebooks and commentaries from the creator himself.
  • Super Saiyan 3: Like his main timeline counterpart, Xeno Goku is capable of transforming into a Super Saiyan 3. In this form, his hair reaches down to his thighs and his eyebrows vanish completely while making the forehead and eye ridges larger and more prominent. His muscle mass grows noticeable larger more defined while his eyes gain green irises. His aura also becomes rounder with larger electrical sparks. This form is eight times stronger than an ordinary Super Saiyan. He uses this form to knocks out Gravy with a single headbutt in one of the game's openings.
  • Super Saiyan 4: Xeno Goku is capable of transforming into a Super Saiyan 4 at will. He only uses the form when absolutely necessary, as Chronoa has forbidden him from using it due to its potential to have an impact on time. He uses this form during his battle with Mira and Dark Broly, as well as his battles with Super Saiyan Blue Goku, Fu and Cumber on the Prison Planet. In World Mission, due to Xeno Vegeta rejecting Xeno Goku's suggestion they fuse in Chapter 3, Sub Chapter 4: "Legendary Super Saiyan Awakened", Xeno Goku & Xeno Vegeta agree to transform into their Super Saiyan 4 forms to combat Super Saiyan 4 Broly after he overpowers Beat. Working together with Super Saiyan Beat, the two Super Saiyan 4s are able to weaken Broly to the point Beat can finish him off. In the game, Xeno Goku briefly uses the Super Full Power Saiyan 4 form against Black Janemba, with power from Goku, Xeno Trunks and Xeno Pan.
    • Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker: During the battle against Black Janemba, the remodeled foe's boosted power proved too much for Xeno Goku and his allies to handle. Instead, at the suggestion of Putine and Salsa, Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta, along with Super Saiyan God Xeno Trunks and Xeno Pan, transfered all their Saiya power onto both Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta. In this form, Xeno Goku's body is filled to the brim with overflowing ki. The normally reddish fur takes on a magenta hue, and his hair is highlighted with a crimson red color along with dark shadows, similar in appearance to that of Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta. He also gains a flowing purple aura similar to that of Perfected Ultra Instinct, and a skin-tight white aura when the primary aura is dissipated. Xeno Goku's voice even compared to his normal Super Saiyan 4 form becomes deeper and calmer. The combined energy pushed them far beyond their natural limits of Super Saiyan 4, obtaining a state that radiated with power. In this form, Xeno Goku's speed and power are dramatically increased.

  • Xeno Vegito: Xeno Vegito is the Potara Fusion of Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta. They merge in order to battle Dark Demon God Xeno Buu. During the battle with the evil Saiyan Cumber, he transforms into a Super Saiyan 4.
  • Xeno Gogeta: Xeno Gogeta is the Fusion Dance fusion of Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta. In the game they fuse in order to battle Xeno Janemba, and in the Special Movie for SDBH8 fuse again to battle Demon God Xeno Dabura as a Super Saiyan 4. In the manga they fuse to battle Demon God Shroom, and later the gathered Demon Gods in the Demon Realm.
  • Fusion of Ki: Thanks to Chronoa's assistance, Xeno Goku and his main timeline countepart are able to perform a fusion of their ki, in this state their powers are both amplified massivley for a short time. The temporary state was used to battle against Fu.

Other

Standard Tactics: Goku will employ hand to hand combat along with ki attacks.

Weaknesses

Note

  • Some clips used on the profile come from an anime or movie due to the fact that some abilities from ki use shouldn't function much differently from how they can in canon, along with this sometimes the anime version/video game version of a scene will be used for cleaner visuals. Toriyama himself directly overlooks scenes in the anime and movies and gives Toei the thumbs up[182].
  • The speed scaling for PLs are taken with a grain of salt as there are noticeable times where someone's speed isn't equal to their power, such as Burter being faster then Recoome and Jeice, along with Super Saiyan Grade 3 Trunks having his power greatly increased but his speed decreased.

Explanations

Codex Statistics Questions

Q: What about the planetary feats in Dragon Ball?

A: Planetary feats are normally done through their strongest charged blast, where they can gather ki to shoot out blast far beyond what the character is normally capable of[183], with blasts capable of[184] seriously damaging/destroying[185] the Earth along with completely obliterating the opponent[186], though they themselves are never capable of leaving this unscathed.

Frieza throws a destroy the planet death ball attack but it doesn't destroy the planet. Goku then interestingly notes the reason the planet didn't blow up is because Frieza was too scared of getting caught in the blast[187] . Vegeta's final flash is noted it's going to destroy the planet and Perfect Cell, who is beyond Vegeta, couldn't tank the blast and had to dodge it last second or it would've killed him[188]. Goku's kamehameha was going to destroy the earth and Cell cannot tank this blast, needing to regenerate[189]. Semi-Perfect Cell explosion was consistently noted it was going to destroy the planet and Gohan and it killed Goku[190]. Ultimate Gohan dies to an attack that destroys the earth, his guard was up too since this was when he was fighting Super Buu[191]. Kid Buu shoots a blast trying to destroy the planet, with Vegeta noting he's going to take himself out with it if he lets it off[192]. In Dragon Ball GT, Great Ape Baby Vegeta shoots a super galick gun that he claims will destroy Earth, when Goku is hit by it, he is knocked out to the point that he can't move for a good while, Elder Kai and Shin later state that Baby is going to shoot another blast that will destroy the planet on, greatly injuring Baby if he's caught in the Blast and will kill everyone on the planet if done[193]. Frieza destroyed the entire earth, killing Vegeta in the process[194]. In the Dragon Ball Super Manga, Gohan tells Goku that he doesn't need to hold anything back and can go all out because anything that happens to the Earth can be restored with Dende and the Dragon Balls. Yet, none of Goku's all out attacks destroy the planet but just heavily causes shockwaves around it[195]. Semi-Perfect Cell unleashes a several blast that destroys several islands Android 16 notes that the attacks are just strong enough to not kill Android 18[196].

In the fight of Trunks vs. Mecha Frieza, who is far stronger than his final form, Mecha Frieza immediately goes for his strongest attack, the Supernova. In the original Z anime King Kai even states this is ten times stronger than the power he used on Namek:

  • DBZ Kai Version[197].
  • Original DBZ Anime Version[198]. The attack is directly noted that it could destroy the planet, but doesn't because Trunks catches it, when Mecha Frieza proceeds to detonate it, the explosion is massive but the planet is still intact, implying Frieza must target the core in order to destroy the planet.
