"Mature Content"
This character or verse has mature themes and concepts, thus those of young age are ill-advised to look through these.

It's me, Pumpkin! Thanks for the invite! I'll do my best to help you out!

It's me, Pumpkin! I was aiming for a more grown-up feel, but I'm only a kid and not sure what that is!
It's me, Pumpkin! Don't worry, I'm not injured. This is all fake blood.
It's me, Pumpkin! My horse, my horse, my tiny kingdom for a horse... no, that's not right...
It's me, Pumpkin! I wanted to be a clown, but could only find this nose. Still, pretty cool, isn't it?
It's me, Pumpkin! I've recently become addicted to spices. But I still hate spicy hot food.

Quote
~ It's me, Pumpkin! Actually, I'm a genius in the kitchen. Pumpkin pie is my specialty. I'm starving!
It's me, Pumpkin! I'm being as good as an angel. So go on, buy me a new toy. Please, please, please!
It's me, Pumpkin! This costume, when I've finally got it all on, just makes me wanna be bad!

Background

Pumpkin is a secret playable character in Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. The character can be unlocked by completing Joachim Mode. Pumpkin also appears as an Innocent Devil in Castlevania: Curse of Darkness and Castlevania: Labyrinth of Love.

Pumpkin wields a unique sub-weapon, aptly named after itself. Unusually, this sub-weapon bypasses Death's defenses, making it the only one in Castlevania: Lament of Innocence that can be effectively used against him. True to the tradition of secret characters in Koji Igarashi's Castlevania games, Pumpkin is designed with a comedic twist—it has exceptionally low health yet possesses extraordinary super-strength, blending humor with its formidable power.

Appearance

The Pumpkin Innocent Devil represents the base form of the optional Pumpkin-Type family. While it has the potential to evolve into various forms, it remains notably weak, even when leveled extensively. Its primary benefit lies in the significant stat boost it provides to Hector, making it a valuable support companion despite its limited combat prowess.

Powers and Techniques

Is a Creature of the Night, which gives:

Superhuman Physical Characteristics (Even the smallest creatures of the night can destroy a bridge[22], one of Dracula's bats easily destroyed a stone ground block[23]), Intimidation (Creatures of the nights appearances can cause one to have their body's cells cry out in terror[24]), Immortality (Ageless; The biggest hindrance to humans when attempting to accomplish something is their limited lifespans, a limitation that cannot be overcome, however, dwellers of the darkness do not apply to the laws of the human world, ignoring such limitations[25]. Immortal Metaphysical Aspect; Creatures of the Night can continue to exist even as a spirit and use their spirit form to form bodies out of inanimate material around them[26]), Acausality (Causality Immunity; All immortal beings disrupt the flow of time according to Aeon[27]. With their souls being completely free from time[28]. The biggest hindrance to humans when attempting to accomplish something is their limited lifespans, a limitation that cannot be overcome, however, dwellers of the darkness do not apply to the laws of the human world, ignoring such limitations[29]), Free Will (Creatures of the Night do not follow the hand of God and instead choose of their own free will[30]), Empowerment (Creatures of the night are empowered by the night[31], becoming stronger when it's night time[32]), Evolution (Creatures of chaos can inherit evil natures[33] awakening into stronger enemies with new abilities and less weaknesses[34]), Resurrection (Self-Resurrection; Creatures of chaos can be brought back to life from the power of hate[35]. This has also been shown with slain heads reviving as an angry wraith[36]), Regeneration (Mid-Godly overtime; Even the castle from Castlevania is a Creature of Chaos, [37] where they are always rebirth from Chaos with each rebirth, the creatures takes a new form[38], with this state being referred to as a "regeneration cycle"[39]), Invisibility (Creatures of Chaos possess a natural aura of darkness, which makes one unable to see those with an aura of darkness by the naked eye[40]), Time Manipulation (Passive; All immortal beings disrupt the flow of time according to Aeon[41]), Darkness Manipulation & Subjective Reality (Creatures of chaos very existence causes dark powers to flow beyond the control of the Elgos' grimoires, due to them collecting documented information on Dracula and his castle. Causing their power to materialize in the real world in the form of monsters[42]. With the real world and world of grimoires being one and the same[43]), Text Manipulation & Plot Manipulation (Passive; Creatures of the night's dark powers allowed them to rewrite the Grimoires to strengthen their dark powers greatly[44]. It is noted by Lucy that the "vital soul" of a monster is the cause of the grimoire chaos[45]. Their vital souls are causing the grimoires contents to be overwritten changing history to things such as Jonathan Morris is now at a disadvantage in battle[46], or Charlotte fading from existence due to them messing with the history of the Grimoires[47], Maria starting to fade because Richter's history is being rewritten[48], where if the contents of the book change the creatures magic will keep growing and eventually overflow into reality, causing the grimoire to fall into chaos and even more monsters materializing into the real world[49]. The text alterations also make the monsters stronger[50]. With the real world and world of grimoires being one and the same[51]), Law Manipulation (Creatures of Chaos can alter grimoires, which do not adhere to the laws of reality[52]), Power Modification (Creatures of the night alterations of the Grimoire can greatly limit the powers of those far stronger than them, such as Jonathan Morris' power being limited due to the alterations[53]. The Chaos of the Grimoire destabilized the magic of the others[54]).

Resistance to Ice Manipulation & Absolute Zero (All enemies in Castlevania III: Dracula's curse can eventually break out of being frozen from Sypha's ice magic[55]. Along with this to protect against ice attacks in series, one normally wears rings that help them resist against absolute zero[56]), Time Manipulation (All immortal beings disrupt the flow of time according to Aeon[57], with their souls being completely free from time[58]. With time in Castlevania being so potent that not even eternity can withstand time[59], along with even artificial life being subject to the laws of time[60]. Some creatures of chaos are immune to time stop, normally being boss-level creatures[61]), Fate Manipulation (All immortal beings disrupt the flow of time according to Aeon[62], with their souls being completely free from time[63], with fate being a truth wound by time[64])

Superhuman Physical Characteristics (Innocent Devils receive their powers from a devil forgemaster transferring the energy into their shells, the more powerful the devil, the larger its power to stabilize[65]), Accelerated Development (Leveling, Physical Stats and Abilities; Innocent Devils level up with experience points by defeating enemies[66]), Evolution & Absorption (Through Innocent Devils absorbing "evolution crystals"[67], they will evolve, having their from change and obtaining new types of abilities[68]), Bestowal (Innocent Devils are mystical untainted familiars created by a devil forgemaster that grants status enhancements[69]), Regeneration (Low-Godly; Innocent Devils will revert to their soul form if they lose all hearts, if the devil forgetmsaster gathers enough hearts for them the Innocent Devils soul[70] can then be restored to material form[71]), Immortality (Life and Death Immunity; Innocent Devils are unable to die no matter the attack[72]), Teleportation (As one executes certain combos, the word "chain" may appear, if they chains correctly, the Innocent Devil will warp in front and add a cooperative attack[73]), Creation (Innocent Devils will occassionally create "Devil Shards", which can be used to create new Innocent Devils[74]).

Resistance to Mind Manipulation & Domination (Innocent Devils have absolute loyalty to their creator[75])

Acrobatics (Pumpkin is capable of easily doing backflips and sidesteps[80]), Non-Standard Interaction (Abstract Interaction; Can interact with Death with its sub-weapons being able to bypass Death's defenses. Where Death is death, being the absolute presence, the awe, the religion, and the dark god[81]. He refers to death itself as him[82]. Noting that he is completely death and human death is only a part of Chaos[83]. Olrox when seeing Death fight serious notes that he senses the overwhelming existence of death and states that death really exists[84]), Explosion Manipulation (Pumpkin's regular attacks has him throw pumpkins that bounce and explode[85]).

Resistance to [[Dracula s Castle]] (Can move around in and fight in Dracula's Castle back when it was owned by Walter[86] and alongside Hector[87]) The Castle Abilities Include:

Reality Warping (The Castle does not work on standard logic, where changing rooms can have one view a completely different background[88], such as room with a blue sky that is reflecting up and downwards and having the clouds rotate at a fast speed[89]), Transmutation (Beings that come near are subject to the castle's influence, such as a local barnyard owl which was mutated just from flying near it[90]), Possession (The castle possesses objects with its magic, such as a ouija table[91]), Sealing (Dracula's magic captured Aguni, a primitive god of fire[92]. The Castle has doors sealed off without solving puzzles[93]. This can extend to walls being sealed off where explosions will not affect it until the seal is gone[94]), Mind Manipulation (Everything that enters the castle is under the control by the power of Dracula's castle[95], the ghost of Eric Lecarde needed to cast a magic barrier to bind himself so he could be free from the control of the castle[96]. The Castle corrupts the minds of those who enter it, such as making Maxim Kischine feel strange ever since coming to it[97]. It also corrupted the mind of Hugh turning him against Nathan with Nathan noting he's being controlled by Dracula[98]. The castle increases one's dark desires, allowing Dracula to easily control them[99]. The magic of Dracula's power that empowers the owl enemy also spurs it to violence[100]), Madness Manipulation (The Castle warped Gergoth, a once-gentle beast and drove it mad[101]), Size Manipulation (Magically enlarged a toad through the use of demonic baptism[102]), Fear Manipulation (Even while far away, Curtis and Michelle felt malicious intent from the castle where their bodies seemed to squeal "run away"[103]. Michelle even being at the entrance to the castle had her body telling her to not go in and her leg muscles being petrified like stone[104]), Curse Manipulation (The Curse status that spirits inflict[105] comes from them absorbing the magic power around the castle. The Castle cursed a human to turn into a lizard man[106]), Life Manipulation (The castle can bring inanimate statues to life to attack[107]. Can cause the glass murals to come to life and attack[108]), Soul Manipulation (Those that die in the castle become one of the floating spirits that wander the halls of the castle for eternity[109]), Abstract Manipulation & Hell Manipulation (The castle can create a core of evil made from hatred, envy, anger and other dark emotions[110])

Power Modification (Orbs can combine with the sub-weapon in question to create completely new abilities from them they would not have otherwise[112])

Pose

Pose is an Innocent Devil ability featured in Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. It is exclusively used by all Pumpkin-Type Innocent Devils. This ability does not require any Hearts to cast, but it is considered the least effective ability in the game in terms of combat. Despite its utility in no resource consumption, it offers minimal impact during battles, making it largely useless in practical terms. All Pumpkin does with this skill is several poses.

Other

Standard Tactics: Pumpkin due to its sheer nature as a childish pumpkin being is a wild card, using whatever it feels like doing.

Several hundred years have passed with battles with the [dark lord] Dracula.
When suddenly, an end to it all has been foretold. 1999----- Thanks to the power of a clan in Japan, Dracula’s castle was sealed inside a [solar eclipse] to disappear forever.
However, in this world, there is no such thing as forever. [They] had understood that Dracula’s regeneration cycle ought to have ended. Indeed, people have prepared for this but will it still exist? The castle is the symbol of the chaos within humans and as long as people exist, it will not be completely sealed.

  84. Akumajo Dracula: Kabuchi no Tsuisoukyoku "Those scythes constructed by magic did not turn towards Olrox or Michelle, every scythe then gathered near the youth’s body.
Then, those numerous blades made from magic overlapped with each other and with a powerful atrocious magic constructed a Death scythe in Death’s arm.
“This false castle……You shall fall into chaos as a thing that denies the existence of the [lord]……[death] shall pass judgment on your sins!”
Sensing the overwhelming existence of [death], Olrox again realized that the youth in front of him is [Death]------laughed out loud.

    “Only…… protect…… you……-----“
When he said those words he must say, the man’s soul already left his body-----becoming one of the floating spirits that wander the halls of the castle.
    However-----
    Fate did not allow it.
For those people who are involved with the demon castle, even the loneliness of death seemed half hearted-----
The man’s soul is pierced by a small scythe that flew in from somewhere. That scythe did not exist physically. It was a diabolic blade created by some magic and possessed a strong soul."
