Background
Ichigo Kurosaki is the main protagonist of the manga and anime series, Bleach. Ever since he was a young boy, Ichigo found that he had the ability to see ghosts, which immediately set him apart from his peers. At the age of 15, Ichigo meets a woman named Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper who is forced to transfer her powers to him after a dangerous encounter with a Hollow.
Ichigo becomes a Deputy Soul Reaper, unlocking power far beyond anyone has seen, at the cost of being forced to participate in the duties of a Soul Reaper. He soon learns truths about his birth, including the truth about his blade, Zangetsu, which entwines his fate into the ever-evolving plot around him.

- Sealed: After receiving Soul Reaper powers from Rukia Kuchiki, Ichigo entered his initial Soul Reaper form, which is referred to as the Sealed state. His power is immense for a first-time Soul Reaper, capable of cutting down standard Hollows without trouble. Although he doesn't know the name of his Zanpakuto, its immense size is proof of his overwhelming spiritual power.

- Shikai: During his training with Kisuke Urahara in preparation for raiding the Soul Society, Ichigo entered a realm within his mind and learned the true name of his Zanpakuto, Zangetsu. Shouting out Zangetsu's name awakened his Shikai state, which became his new base state from then on. His sword is far more refined, and his power more immense than ever.

Notable Techniques
- Getsuga Tensho: Ichigo's primary technique, which he can use in nearly any known form. After charging spiritual energy in his blade, he unleashes it in the form of a blade beam. Usually gold in color, it can sometimes be completely black when he is in his Bankai state or any of his Hollow forms. This beam is extremely powerful, and Ichigo usually turns to it when he needs a heavy-hitting attack.

Getsuga Tensho
- Fullbring Getsuga Tensho: A Getsuga Tensho comprised entirely of Fullbring power, which Ichigo utilizes in his Human or Fullbringer forms. He unleashes this from the sword that was formed through his Deputy Soul Reaper Badge, though presumably he can use it simply through Fullbring power alone. It functions identically to a standard Getsuga Tensho.

Fullbring Getsuga Tensho
- Getsuga Jujisho: An advanced version of Getsuga Tensho, that Ichigo learned after acquiring his True Shikai state. This Getsuga attack is far more powerful than the standard version, and is cross-shaped instead of being a simple crescent.

- Cero: This attack is one that is standard amongst Hollows, notably used by Menos Grande. When Ichigo is put into his Vasto Lorde form, he is also able to utilize Cero as a result. Cero has Ichigo charge a large ball of energy from his horns, which is then unleashed as a large beam of purple energy that atomizes anything in its way.

- Gran Rey Cero: Ichigo's most powerful attack, which he can only use in his Merged Hollow forms. The Gran Rey Cero is the combination of a Cero with Ichigo's own blood, resulting in an extremely powerful crescent beam of purple energy. Since Ichigo's blood contains Soul Reaper, Quincy, Hollow, Fullbring, and regular Human powers, the Gran Rey Cero has a lot of power to pull from, and is thus immensely powerful.

Gran Rey Cero
- Mugetsu: The ultimate technique that Ichigo has access to when he utilizes the Final Getsuga Tensho state. Mugetsu creates a giant wave of black energy, which covers a huge radius. Anything caught within this radius of black energy is dissolved until they are reduced to nothing. This attack is very powerful as a result, but has a huge drawback. After using it, all of Ichigo's supernatural Soul Reaper abilities are stripped from him, leaving him as a regular human.

Standard Tactics:
Ichigo is highly adept in physical combat, usually prone to attacking with his hands and feet before he even thinks to use his sword. As such, he will usually start by unleashing punches or kicks, and will only become a Soul Reaper if absolutely necessary; this is because, since he cannot become a Soul Reaper freely at this time, he greatly loathes the idea of needing to give control of his physical body over to Kon. When he awakens his Shikai state, he is much more geared towards fighting with his sword (as it has turned into a much more useable shape), and will use blade beams if necessary.
Weaknesses: Ichigo is often noted throughout the series to be headstrong to a fault, as he will brashly rush into highly dangerous situations in order to save friends/family, or simply prove himself. His willpower leads him to continue fights even if he is mortally wounded, as he is simply too prideful to allow anything to stop him until he dies. He has found himself having his powers stolen by villains many times in the past. Using Mugetsu will strip him of all of his Soul Reaper powers.
