Rookie (Sonic the Hedgehog)

Background

The Rookie, is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. They are a customizable character whose appearance is dictated by the player. An ordinary citizen, the Rookie took part in the war against the Eggman Empire after it began gaining ground. After months of service in the field, they joined the Resistance as the group's newest recruit. Although initially lacking in courage, their burgeoning sense of heroism allowed them to rise to prominence among heroes like Sonic the Hedgehog, with whom they formed a strong partnership, and, in the final days of the war, be a crucial element in helping the Resistance reclaim the world from Dr. Eggman’s domination.

Powers and Abilities

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Acrobatics, Weapon Mastery (Rookie can effectively use seven different type of wispons), Likely Self-Sustenance (Type 1; Should be able to breath in space as this is very common for sonic characters), Enhanced Senses, Dimensional Storage (Can keep Rings on hand despite having no place to put them), Sheer Will (Rookie was able to activate the Phantom Ruby prototype, which eggman and infinite point out only a being with strength of will could activate it), Fire Manipulation, Explosion Manipulation and limited Flight (Via Burst Wispon, which is normally used as a flamethrower and it's special action allows Rookie to preform explosion which they can use to fly), Electricity Manipulation (Via Lightning Wispon, which attacks with a lighting based whip), Sealing, Transmutation and Creation (Via Cube Wispon, which seals the opponent in a cube that when destroyed makes them become rings and it's special action allows rookie to create cubes to stand on), Duplication, Invulnerability and Magnetism (Via Asteroid Wispon, which attacks using clones and it's special action grants Rookie invincibility along with drawing nearby items to them), Burrowing and Surface Scaling (Via Drill Wispon, it's special action allows rookie to scale walls and dig through the ground), Shockwave Generation and Flight (Via Hover Wispon, which blows away enemies with a shockwave and it's special action allows rookie to fly), Black Hole Creation, Absorption and Teleportation (Via Void Wispon, which Sucks in enemies with a black hole and it's special action allows Rookie to teleport),

Illusion Creation and Perception Manipulation (Type 3; It can create illusion that can harm and kill others along with messing with one's perception of reality), Creation, Pocket Reality Manipulation and BFR (Can create a closed-off space called null space to banish his opponents), Power Mimicry (It can create replicas of others who's powers are as formidable as the originals), Limited Resistance to Illusion Creation and Perception Manipulation (It can cancel out the use of another Phantom Ruby prototype)

Invulnerability, Energy Boost, Statistics Amplification, Healing, and Energy Absorption (They're canonically contained within a hammerspace, and they can restore your energy for your abilities and Super/Hyper form. They serve as an invincible barrier that can allow one to survive lethal attacks from far stronger foes and restore your health. Rings can also increase your abilities, such as your speed)

Transformation (Wisps will transform Rookie's body), Fire Manipulation and Explosion Manipulation (The Red Burst attacks with flames and explosive bursts.), Electricity Manipulation (Ivory Lightning attacks with electricity), Gravity Manipulation (Indigo Asteroid has its own gravitational pull), Black Hole Creation and Absorption (Violet Void acts as a black hole and can absorb nearly anything) Flight (Hover grants flight)

Notable Techniques

• Wispons: Wispons are weapons that are designed to harness the Wisps' Hyper-go-on energy to channel the properties of their Color Powers od the wisps without inducing transformations on the user. They were the primary weapons used by the Resistance's soldiers during the War to Take Back the Planet.

• Wire Attack: Rookie fires a grappling hook from their wrist-mounted grappling gun at a single target. If used on an enemy, they can then pull themselves towards their target and land a momentum-fueled strike on it.

Weaknesses: Used to be cowardly (This is resolved during the events of forces), their Phantom Ruby prototype will shatter if it use too much power

Note 1: While rookie never used wisps to transform it's cause their wispons can use the color power without needing too. If they truly wanted to, they could use wisps to transform.

Note 2: As both Rookie and Infinite's Phantom Rubies are prototypes (Infinite's is just the finalized version) they should power scale, altough the Rookie would likely never use it in character.
