The Green Lantern corps get their power source from the lantern ring, being able to empower them depending on how much willpower the have and how much the lantern ring is charged.

Introduction

Power Source is a term used on some profiles for a character that possesses a source of power from an object, person, or their inner energies that they can tap into to use. Similar to Environmental Destruction, a Power Source is a essentially a non-combat applicable source of Attack Potency a character has in their disposal but are unable to use all at once or else they'd risk using up all of their energy in the process. Instead they can tap into the energies of it to get stronger or greater power, though the amplifications are most of the time unquantifiable and in most cases, temporary. Power sources could also cause a character to vary in strength, being weaker then usual or stronger then usual depending on how much power they tap into.

Examples

  • Godzilla (Godzilla): Godzilla is directly shown to possess a radiation energy source within his body that allows him to tap into the power source he absorbed from the atomic bomb to shoot out atomic breaths.
  • Characters from Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe: Kombatants during Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe had their powers fluctuating thanks to the rage, causing their energies to be stronger or weaker then usual.
