Saibamen

Maybe the Saibamen can persuade them to tell us where the Dragon Balls are. Huh, Nappa?
~ Vegeta about the Saibamen

Background

Saibamen are a species of small humanoid aliens that are grown from a seed that’s planted in fertile soil, such as the soil of Earth. After a special unknown fluid is poured on the planted Saibamen, they are immediately grown and reach their full strength within a moment. This species serves as a fodder minion to whoever planted it, which is oftentimes a Saiyan Warrior.

Previously used to help them take over a planet, each Saiyan Warrior carries around multiple Saibamen seeds and bulbs of fluid, for their own usage whenever a Saibaman’s power is required. The most notable instance of a pod of Saibamen being grown, is during Nappa and Vegeta’s invasion of planet Earth.

The Saibamen species are animalistic, ruthless and savage creatures, whose only allegiance lies with those who are stronger than them. Even when crippled and defeated, a Saibaman will do whatever it takes to win (or at least not be the only one to lose,) as they will go as far as to resort to clinging to an enemy and self-destructing.

There are multiple different sub-species of Saibamen who are used for multiple different scenarios; the regular Saibamen are green and wield fairly standard battle powers. Kaiwaremen are blue versions of the original, who are much weaker than normal, but come in the plenty. Kyukonmen are yellow and Tennenmen are purple, but both are fairly standard to the average Saibaman’s power. Jinkoumen are grey versions of the original, who are far stronger than the rest.

The final, most unique sub-species of Saibamen, are the Copymen. A Copyman is an extremely rare Saibaman, who is completely jet black in coloration. These Saibamen hold the special abilities of shapeshifting, which also increases their power tremendously; with the ability, they can convincingly shapeshift into other characters, notably having shown to transform into Raditz and First Form Frieza.

Codex Statistics

Grade: B

Tier: 7-A

Cardinality: Finite

Dimensionality: 3-D

Power Source: Ki (All beings in Dragon Ball[1][2][3] have ki, the very life force energy of all characters[4], ki allows a fighter to extend beyond their bodies limits, allowing them to even[5] block attacks that would otherwise[6] kill them from[7] raising their guard[8], higher level users can lower their own durability to allow people far below them to fatally wound them[9])

Attack Potency: Metropolis level (The Saibamen's power is comparable to Raditz, who can cause explosions dwarfing the mountains, which results in these levels of energy)

Durability: Metropolis level, Higher with Guard Up (Ki allows a fighter to extend beyond their bodies limits, allowing them to even block attacks that would otherwise kill them from raising their guard)

Striking Strength: Metropolis Class

Lifting Strength: Class 1 (Superior to Early Saiyan Saga Son Goku who is able to barely move around and jump in gravity that multiplies his weight by ten times, where he's naturally 62 kg, thus making him 620 kg on King Kai's planet)

Travel Speed: Superhuman (Superior to Dragon Ball Saga Son Goku)

Attack Speed: High Hypersonic

Reaction Speed: High Hypersonic (Far Beyond 22nd Budokai Son Goku, who could dodge a mouth blast from Tambourine, which he used to tag the flying nimbus where even post King Kai training Goku used the flying nimbus to make it to the saiyans implying it is at least comparable to his flight speed by then, with Goku being capable of traveling over a million of kilometers in two days which results in these speeds. Should be far faster than Mercenary Tao, who stated that a jet would take too long and used his pillar, with fighter jets reaching up to 1000 mph)

Stamina: High (Saibamen are shown to be able to participate in a marathon fight with trained martial artists, although they do clearly get winded at times. They don't have any actual physical training)

Range: Standard Melee, Interstellar with Ki Attacks (Ki attacks can reach out of the planet and to other planets. All ki attacks should be comparable to Goku's kamehameha, which reached all the way to the sun)

Intelligence: Animalistic (The Saibamen as a species are each basically mindless slaves, who will follow and listen to whoever grew them. Although they are incredibly powerful, they act more on survival instinct than using martial skill)

Attack Potency: At least City Block level (The weakest of the species, Kaiwaremen have a power level between 200 and 938, making them superior to 22nd Budokai Son Goku 23rd Budokai Saga Son Goku, where he was far above his Red Ribbon Army Saga self who defeated General Blue who survived his plane crashing into a mountain at full speed{3.72 Tons of TNT}, then after his training with Korin, it was noted by Korin his power increased "manyfold", making him at least two times stronger than before {7.44 Tons of TNT}, and also drank the Water of the Gods, where he absorbed all the hidden potential within him, greatly boosting his power, as training with Korrin increased his power manyfold, an even greater object such as the Water of Gods should have roughly the same effect meaning he should've had at least gotten two times stronger{~15 Tons of TNT})

Striking Strength: At least City Block Class

Lifting Strength: Superhuman to Class 1 (The weakest of the species, Kaiwaremen have a power level between 200 and 938, with ones around 200 being superior to Early Dragon Ball Son Goku who could pick up and throw Bulma’s car, lift and crush a bolder with his own hands, moved a giant boulder with a lot of effort and later could somewhat move a massive boulder with some effort, etcetera. The ones around 938 are superior to Early Saiyan Saga Son Goku who is able to barely move around and jump in gravity that multiplies his weight by ten times, where he's naturally 62 kg, thus making him 620 kg on King Kai's planet)

Powers and Techniques

Notable Techniques

  • Flight: With a mastery of Ki control, Dabura is able to fly at incredibly high speeds.
  • Ki Blast: Using Ki, Dabura can concentrate it into a ball that he uses as a projectile attack.
  • Acid: Splitting open its head, the Saibamen is able to spray a jet of deadly acid from within it, powerful enough to melt huge masses of land.
  • Saibabeam: The Saibaman fires a green beam of energy from its head.
  • Saibaman Bomb: Clinging onto an enemy as hard as it can, the Saibaman glows bright before self-destructing in a massive explosion.
  • Shapeshifting: Specific ability to a Copyman. The Copymen is able to completely shapeshift itself into a convincing mimic of someone else, which also increases its power. Copymen have only shown to shapeshift into Raditz and First Form Frieza.

Other

Standard Tactics: Saibamen will employ hand to hand combat along with attacks where they spit out acid. They will also attempt to self-destruct if the opponent is too strong for them.

Weaknesses

Note

  • Some clips used on the profile come from an anime or movie due to the fact that some abilities from ki use shouldn't function much differently from how they can in canon, along with this sometimes the anime version/video game version of a scene will be used for cleaner visuals. Toriyama himself directly overlooks scenes in the anime and movies and gives Toei the thumbs up[157].
  • The speed scaling for PLs are taken with a grain of salt as there are noticeable times where someone's speed isn't equal to their power, such as Burter being faster then Recoome and Jeice, along with Super Saiyan Grade 3 Trunks having his power greatly increased but his speed decreased.
