Sometimes I wonder what it's all good for. I mean, Olimar is a nice enough fellow and all, but he just loves being in charge. I take this in my stride since our mission on the planet of the Pikmin is introducing me to so many wondrous creatures, from the super scary to the downright yummy! There is no way that Olimar could handle the job by himself and I reckon we actually make a pretty good team. Background

Louie is the deuteragonist of Pikmin 2 and the side stories of Pikmin 3 Deluxe. He is also a minor antagonist in Pikmin 3's main story. He is introduced as a new employee for Hocotate Freight and is assigned by the President to join Olimar on his journey back to PNF-404 to fix the company's debt, after a space bunny supposedly ate their golden pikpik carrots during Louies's first expedition. However, Louie is left on the planet and makes his way down the Dream Den where he takes control of the Titan Dweevil.

After Louie's rescue, Hocotate Freight goes bankrupt once more, leaving Olimar and Louie to return to PNF-404 in search of rare treasure again, leading to the introduction of the crew of the S.S Drake, Alph, Brittany, and Charlie. Despite being rescued by them, Louie and Olimar are sent back to PNF-404 to retrieve their original ship, wjhich was destroyed by the Quaggled Mireclops.
