Background

Tricky the Clown is the secondary antagonist of the Madness Combat series. He started out as an assassin hired by the Sheriff and later became the primary antagonist of the Tricky saga, after he was given the power of the Improbability Drive. Up until the end of Madness Combat 7: Consternation, Tricky used the power of the Improbability Drive in order to revive repeatedly, run and jump at extremely high speeds and gain superhuman hand-to-hand fighting skills which allowed him to render the mightiest of enemies helpless.

Status: Has been both Undead and Deceased

Alignment: Neutral Good as Hofnarr (Hofnarr was a rather kind and good-spirited person, helping Jebediah Christoff in his rebellion against Director Phobos), Chaotic Evil as Tricky the Clown (His loyalties and sanity were dissolved from dissonant ethers, becoming consumed by entropy. Dimensionality: 3-D

Attack Potency: Unknown, likely Peak Human (Should be comparable to grunts who can rip off heads), possibly Large Building level+ (Possibly comparable to Jebediah Christoff, who would later fight against Hank J. Wimbleton. Hank is stronger than both Sanford and Deimos, who survived having a building dropping on top of them) | Large Building level+ (Vastly superior to before, decapitated both Jebus and Hank), Varies with the Portable Improbability Drive (Warps reality and make improbable thing happen such as the sun becoming a person) | At least Large Building level+, likely City Block level (Stronger than before, being able to casually toy and fodderize Hank), Varies with the Portable Improbability Drive | City Block level (Should be superior to his demon form, being stronger than MAG Hank and ripped off his arm), possibly Far Higher (Absorbed the powers of the Auditor, and possible obtained more access to the higher powers)

Intelligence: Genius (Shouldn't be any dumber than his canon self)

Powers and Abilities

Peak Human Physical Characteristics, possibly Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Genius Intelligence, Weapon Usage, Flight via Jetpack, Human Achievements (Became a successful scientist in Nexus City), Sheer Will, Immortality (Type 4), Plot Manipulation (Type 3), and Resurrection (Krinkels states that the protagonists have "massive plot armor due to stronger constitutions and cognitive endurance", being repeatedly revived by the Higher Powers in order to grant violence en masse, or being able to get out of Hell or Purgatory one way or another. An entity known as The Machine has many "tendrils" that keep bringing characters such as Hank back, making him unable to "stay dead", and the Machine as a whole can be thought as the computers of the fans of Madness Combat, and logging in to them keeps the madness going. Can survive wounds that are fatal otherwise. If a Nevadean would die, they are sent to the Other Place, a purgatory dimension that can be escaped from. If you die in the Other Place, you will just reappear somewhere else in it), Statistics Amplification, Perception Manipulation, and Afterimage Creation (Bullet time increases his speed and slows his perception of time, creating afterimages), Healing (Bandages in Project Nexus heal the user), Empowerment (Ecstasy is an empowering emotion in Nevada, which is why Hank is superior to both Sanford and Deimos), Explosion Manipulation via Rocket Launchers and Grenades, Reality Warping, Matter Manipulation, Mind Manipulation, and Radiation Manipulation with dissonance weapons (Dissonant Energy is a radiation that distorts logic and the minds of whoever perceives it, being able to deconstruct matter), Resistance to Madness Manipulation (Adapted to the maddening hellscape that is Nevada), Probability Manipulation, Gravity Manipulation, Physics Manipulation, Transmutation, and Reality Warping (The Improbability Drive gives control over improbability in order to cause things to happen, and it doesn't affect Tricky even when implanted in his head. When active, it changes gravity repeatedly and breaks the laws of physics, on one occasion creating falling whales and giant marshmallows in the sky before turning the sun itself into a normal grunt. Its power could also shift an entire building), Pain (The weakest beings of Nevada feel lots of pain and yet they still appear unaffected), Mind Manipulation and Trauma (Nevada generally doesn't have much humanity; there are no women, no children, no men - just monsters. As time goes on the entropy of Nevada just increases due to the sheer madness), limited Empathic Manipulation (Relationships aren't really a thing in Nevada), and Fear Manipulation (Fear isn't a powerful motivator in Nevada)

All previous powers, Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Undead Physiology, Corruption (Corrupted the Auditor upon being absorbed), Immortality (Types 6 and 7: Is a Zed/Zombie that has shown to shrug off wounds that would easily fatal. Shown to still be alive when the Auditor absorbed him), Hacking (Warped a computer), Martial Arts, Acrobatics, Flight (Shown here), Resurrection (Revived Hank several times), Transformation (If he would "die", he can choose to transform into a demon), Breaking the Fourth Wall (Looked into the screen after killing Hank), Reactive Power Level (Is as fast as he needs to be), Burrowing, Body Control, and Dimensional Storage (Shown to be able to burrow into the ground and exist in a very thin area. Can pull out weapons doing this), Reality Warping, Probability Manipulation, Gravity Manipulation, Physics Manipulation, and Transmutation (Weilds the Improbability Drive; The Improbability Drive gives control over improbability in order to cause things to happen. When doing this it changes gravity repeatedly and breaks the laws of physics, on one occasion creating falling whales and giant marshmallows in the sky before turning the sun itself into a normal grunt. Its power could also shift an entire building), Weather Manipulation (The Improbability Drive caused whales to rain and stop lightning striking in Nevada), likely Higher-Dimensional Manipulation (The Improbability Drive is stated to be able to reach the fourth dimension, though this may just be an attempt to make an analogy), Disease Manipulation (The Auditor’s improbability drive gave Jesus a disease), Telekinesis, Data Manipulation and Technology Manipulation (The Improbability Drive can infect a computer with its own virus), Blood Manipulation (The Improbability Drive can make a grunt bleed liters of blood), Summoning and Creation (The Improbability Drive can summon buildings and trains with several Agents inside of them), Resistance to BFR (Tricky's soul was immensely warped to the point where it doesn't go back to hell upon death)

All previous powers, BFR and Portal Creation (Has all the powers of the Auditor, who is a living gateway to hell. Sent Hank and Sanford to hell through sheer force), Summoning (Able to summon minions), Darkness Manipulation, Corruption, Teleportation, Dimensional Travel (His mere presence and touch spreads this dark matter that corrupts others and can send others to hell), Regeneration (Mid, likely Mid-High: Regenerated from wounds throughout his body, including his head. Should scale to the Auditor, who can come back from a puddle of shadows), Weapon Creation, Teleportation, Chain Manipulation and Gravity Manipulation (Able to manipulate gravity and create chains to bind objects together), Creation, Spike Manipulation, and Text Manipulation (Created a wall and spikes along with text that reads "GET OUT LEAVE KILL"), Immortality (Type 3: Can come back unharmed from various wounds), should have most, if not all powers of the Auditor

All previous abilities of his canon self, Enhanced Durability Negation (Can break all of Boyfriend's bones by outrapping him. In his demon form, Tricky could imbue notes with flames and whenever Boyfriend hits them, they cause his health to plummet), Absorption (Friday Night Funkin' characters are able to drain their opponents health by their opponent missing the notes of their song and by currently winning the rap battle), possibly Non-Physical Interaction (Should scale to the Boyfriend, who potentially incapacitated the spirit, as after defeating him in a rap battle he does not get possessed), Death Manipulation (Could make notes instakill Boyfriend in his skeleton form), Breaking the Fourth Wall (In his skeleton form, he could cause street signs to cover Boyfriend's notes and directly pull his health bar back himself)

Standard Equipment

Portable Improbability Drive, any number of melee and ranged weapons, a street sign with an exclamation mark on it, metal mask

Notable Techniques

  • Hell: In his Madness Combat 11 form, Tricky manifests in the real world as a large skeletal monster. In this form, he will use creation and summon spam along with extremely high strength to force his opponents through black portals, which transfer them to Hell. In here, Tricky gains an assortment of new abilities, and resurrects every time he is killed. Exact requirements to kill him are unknown, but he does fiercely defend The Halo and dies when struck in the white streaks in the sky.
  • The Improbability Drive: An incredibly powerful device that works by bending the laws of reality to cause impossible things to happen. When a lesser drive was first activated, it caused buildings to start splitting apart, humans to bleed far more than should be possible, and caused humans to violently fly away from blows. In the Auditor's hands, his Primary Drive can be used to vastly increase the strength of his soldiers, infect others with deadly diseases, and can likely do much more, as well. In addition, the Secondary Drive within his body is the source of his supernatural powers, Tricky should have the same set of capabilities as he uses one.
  • The Halo: With the Halo, the Auditor could revive the dead as much stronger zombies, telekinetically move others, create forcefields that can deflect bullets, release blasts of energy that disintegrate others, and absorb others to grow in strength and size, Tricky should have the same set of capabilities as he uses the Halo in MC 11.

Standard Tactics: Attacks the opponent wildly as if he was out of control while toying with them. His Friday Night Funkin' version will sing, his demon form will also sing, but with enhanced durability negation and will attack physically if that fails, and his Skeleton form will try to instakill his opponent and break the fourth wall to cause his opponent to lose.

Weaknesses: None Notable | Completely insane. The "Higher Powers" only resurrect him if the fight looks fun and entertaining. If his Portable Improbability Drive takes damage, he loses his BFR and Soul Manipulation resistances. | He loses his form if the Portable Improbability Drive take extensive damage. | Needs the Halo to use his powers. | If Tricky is beaten in a rap battle, he will have his bones shattered. However, this is only a weakness in-verse as this is a specific ability all users share.

Note: Krinkels confirmed the Tricky Mod to be canon to Madness Combat and has even followed the mod's development and answered the crew's questions whenever the stuff they made appealed to the series' canon or not, which is why Tricky has a key for his appearance in the Tricky Mod.
