As MegaMan Trigger
After the Master's death, MegaMan Trigger tried to fulfill his dying wish. The units from the System tried to stop Trigger, thinking he became an Aberrant Unit. As time went by, Yuna (Mother Unit of Terra) decided to take a neutral position, neither helping nor fighting against Trigger. Frustrated with Yuna's decision, Sera (Mother Unit of Elysium) traveled to Terra herself to stop MegaMan, and the two fought each other to a standstill, expending all their energy. Trigger's original body was almost totally destroyed in the fight, and all his parameters had to be reset to heal (similar to formatting a hard drive), transforming him into a baby without any memory of the past. To avoid his memory being wiped out and make sure Sera would never find the Master's genetic code, Trigger transferred his essential data files to Data. Yuna took the opportunity to seal both inside stasis fields, with MegaMan and Data being sealed inside a ruin in Nino Island and Sera with Geetz in Forbidden Island, where they stayed for a long period. Codex Statistics
Key: Pre-Data Repairs | Post-Data Repairs

Cardinality: Finite (His strongest weapon is ℵ0)
Dimensionality: 3-D

At least Planet level (Potency) with Shining Laser (With his ultimate weapon the Shining Laser, a pseudo-laser created from receiving an X Buster (see note) and the prism crystal, noted by Roll that she had no idea she'd be able to make a weapon this powerful and that it almost frightens her. As such this weapon is comparable to Mega Man X during the Elf Wars, as Mega Man Legends takes place at the end of the timeline[1]. Elf Wars X along with Zero were able to fight on par with Omega during the Elf Wars. They both were able to defeat him with their Final Strike attack. This makes them far superior to their X Era selves who fought and defeated Optic Sunflower who used the data of the Final Weapon to perform his Earth Crush attack. Zero after gaining Optic Sunflower's weapon data can also use this attack with his Tenshouha technique. The Final Weapon was stated to be able to destroy the Earth and was going to be used by Sigma to do so. The data of things in Mega Man are portrayed as equal to their real world counterparts as shown consistently throughout the series multiple[2] times[3]. Optic Sunflower is also stated and shown to have control over data within cyberspace, being the root cause of the programs going haywire upon becoming Maverick. He also can download any data stored such as Cut Man's which was used to fight the Maverick Hunters. The Final Weapon's data should be stored as Mega Man Xtreme shows that the past data of entire stages is stored within cyberspaces) | At least Small Building level (Potency) (At his strongest during this point, as in this state he was able to fight and defeat a fully transformed Sera, whereas back in his state as MegaMan Trigger his body was almost totally destroyed while fighting her, with MegaMan Trigger being stronger than his pre-repairs self as he had to undergo reverting back into a baby and re-growing up to regenerate). At least Planet level (Potency) with Shining Laser
Durability: Small Building level (Can take explosions from Feldnaut, which can destroy entire buildings. Can tank getting hit by a car, can take hits from robots that will overtime destroy buildings and city hall) | At least Small Building level
Striking Strength: Small Building Class (Potency) | At least Small Building Class (Potency)
Lifting Strength: Superhuman (Could lift up a broken door hatch) | At least Superhuman
Travel Speed: Athletic Human (Noted to look like a pretty good runner. A trained digger, and as such should be able to move this fast), Higher with Jet Skates (Moves far faster then he does while running, with even Roll noting this) | Athletic Human, Higher with Jet Skates
Attack Speed: Supersonic (Shot down various missiles while waiting for Roll to fix the Parabola Gun. Can tag moving missiles and torpedoes which travel at speeds greater then 3200 km/h). Massively Hypersonic Attack Speed with Shining Laser (With Shining Laser, a pseudo-laser created from receiving an X Buster (see note) and the prism crystal, making it comparable to Mega Man X during the elf wars, as Mega Man Legends takes place at the end of the timeline[4]. X scales far above Mega Man and is undoubtedly superior to Duo who is capable of traveling through galaxies and across the universe while doing his job to destroy the Evil Energy, Duo is also stated to be intergalactic multiple times) | Supersonic. Massively Hypersonic Attack Speed with Shining Laser
Reaction Speed: Supersonic | Supersonic
Stamina: Superhuman (Spent 3 days underground trying to find a way out)
Range: Standard Melee, Hundreds of Meters with Energy Blast (Can fire at enemies in the air)
Intelligence: Genius Intelligence (An experienced digger, being capable of spending 3 days underground and trying to find a way out without dying, and an expert marksman, being capable of defending Roll's ship from dozens of ships shooting missiles and torpedoes at it. Can fight against Revearbots who can camoflage to sneak attack. Successfully explored Forbbiden Island, a place that all diggers that have went there never returned from, being noted to have done what even Von Bluecher couldn't do in 30 years)
Powers and Techniques
Resistance to Information Manipulation & Conceptual Manipulation (Can take hits from characters that can directly interact with, harm, and destroy a robots data, which all robots "true existences" rely on their data, thus as long as their data is stored they can be remade or come back if their data is specifically "SAVED". All data resides in the deep log of each game's data and information of the Mega Man Franchise and many other Capcom franchises, with it being stated that data makes up the characters' personality, memories are data pieces that can be used to materialize hunter programs and also have the feelings of the characters, their data is even what determines their own canonicity in reality, with all characters being considered data alongside all universes being made of data. With data further being explored through here), Plot Manipulation (As data determines one's canonicity in reality and all universes are made of data, one would need to fully change one's data in order to change their narrative. With data further being explored through here)
Resistance to Extreme Colds (Can move in the Forbidden Island just fine, where there's a massive blizzard over the entire island), Extreme Heats (Can move around in rooms so hot the entire screen is red just fine)
All previous powers and abilities, Weapon Mastery (Can use the drill arm, a special weapon he can use to destroy certain types of walls and do greater damage against enemies. With Hunter Seeker, independent weapon that closes in on target while firing regularly. With Aqua Blaster, used for stopping fires. With Spread Buster, fires multiple explosives simultaneously. With Machine Gun Arm, has a high rate of fire. With Shining Laser, fires high powered pseudo-laser beams. With Blade Arm, attacks with an energy blade. With Reflector Arm, shoots out bullets that rebounds and explodes if bounced off walls), Divine Protection & Blessed (Through donating to the church, Volnutt is under God's protection and receives blessings)

Notable Techniques
- Normal Arm: Normal Arm is MegaMan's normal arm without weapons. When not using a weapon, MegaMan can kick with his right leg in Mega Man Legends and lift objects in Mega Man Legends 2.
- Kick: Kick is an attack from Mega Man Legends. It is used with the right leg when MegaMan is not equipped with a Special Weapon and with the left leg when he is in areas that the Mega Buster can't be used. In Mega Man Legends 2 it can only be used with the left leg, as the right arm function was replaced by the Lifter.
- Lifter: Lifter is an action from Mega Man Legends 2 used by MegaMan with the right arm when he isn't equipped with a Special Weapon. He is able to lift light objects and enemies and throw them, causing damage to other enemies hit. MegaMan can lift enemies that cause negative status by contact, like burn and freeze from some Horokkos and Frongels, without receiving the status. The objects, characters, and enemies MegaMan can lift are Horokko, Frongel, Mirumijee, Jakko, Gorubesshu, Kuruguru, Miroc, King Miroc, Skaritt, Taburu, Snorubit, Otamarn, Koni, Kalmare, Servbots, Birdbots, Johnny, the gunners in Nino Island, the twins Appo and Dah, Shu, rabbits, pigs, bombs, and crates. When holding a Jakko, MegaMan will descent slowly if the jump button is held. Snorubit is the only enemy that can escape from MegaMan when hold. If MegaMan attempts to lift Roll Caskett in the Calinca tundra, she will slap him.
- Interchangeable Weapons: MegaMan can equip a variety of different Special Weapons for different purposes and situations. His default weapon is the Mega Buster, a standard cannon mounted from the left arm. With modifications from Roll Caskett, he can replace his right arm with a number of other weaponry. Roll can build new weapons to him using parts that he finds.
- Body Equipments: MegaMan can equip upgrades to his main body for easier tasks, such as battle and traveling purposes. Such additions include built in roller skates for higher speed, helmets, different levels of body armor, and upgrading the amount of damage the body can take.
- Shield System: The game depicts MegaMan with a barrier system (shown by a blue capsule bar on the game screen) that lowers enemy damage and recoil. However, the bar is limited in power, and when decreased entirely without time to recharge, must be repaired by a recovery item.
- Mega Buster: The Mega Buster, known as Rock Buster in Japan, is MegaMan's main weapon, a rapid firing arm cannon equipped in his left arm. It can be improved with Buster Parts, which modify four stats: Attack, Energy, Range and Rapid. MegaMan is only allowed 2 Buster Parts at a time, but upon obtaining the item Adapter Plug, he can equip 3 parts.
- Active Buster: Fires homing missiles. When fully upgraded, it is one of the most powerful weapons in the game, surpassed only by the Shining Laser.
- Aqua Blaster: Releases water to extinguish fires. It deals no damage and can only extinguish small flames, being useless against strong fire sources such as flamethrowers.
- Blade Arm: Creates an energy blade for close-range combat.
- Buster Cannon: A powerful cannon with good firepower and range.
- Crusher: Throws powerful electro-magnetic bombs.
- Drill Arm: Short-range drill that can be used to destroy certain types of walls.
- Grand Grenade: Throws bombs that can crack certain walls. The Grand Grenade and the Powered Buster are the only weapons that can destroy the cracked ceiling in the Clozer Woods Sub-Gate. MegaMan is immune to the explosions.
- Grenade Arm: Throws bombs with a delayed explosion. The bombs bounce on walls and can be kicked. Explodes immediately if touched. MegaMan is immune to the explosions.
- Ground Crawler: Releases a bomb that rolls along the ground and explode when it touches an enemy.
- Homing Missile: Fires homing missiles, lower rapid fire rate then the active buster.
- Hunter Seeker: Launches an independent probe that homes in on the target MegaMan is locked on to.
- Hyper Shell: A bazooka-like weapon that causes an explosion in the area it hits, spreading damage over a large area.
- Machine Buster: A machine gun made with the arm parts of a Blumebear.
- Machine Gun Arm: Weapon with a high rate of fire.
- Powered Buster: Weapon with good firepower and range, but with low speed and amount of energy.
- Reflector Arm: Fires spheres that bounce off walls and explode.
- Shield Arm: Creates an energy shield to protect MegaMan from enemy attacks.
- Shining Laser: The most powerful weapon in the Mega Man Legends series. Fires high-powered pseudo-laser beams. When fully upgraded, has unlimited energy and is strong enough to defeat bosses in few seconds.
- Splash Mine: MegaMan plants a mine on the ground that explodes after some time or when touched. The mines can also harm Mega Man.
- Spread Buster: Fires multiple explosives simultaneously, covering a wide range.
- Vacuum Arm: A vacuum that sucks nearby Refractors, Energy Cubes and Special Weapon Recharge Cubes. Has no offensive power, being used to collect money.
Other
Standard Tactics: MegaMan Volnutt will use the weapon best suited for battle, most likely coming with the Shining Laser and maxed out buster cannon statistics.
Weaknesses: If Volnutt's body is almost completely destroyed, he has to reset all of his parameters in order to heal, restoring the body to its original configuration. If his data is corrupted, he will be incapable of coming back.
Note: Despite the X Buster being called a toy in the scan, this clearly can't be the case. The X Buster is used to make single-handedly the most powerful weapon in the game, a weapon so powerful that Roll notes it almost frightens her with how powerful this weapon is, conveniently only being stated when she makes a weapon mixed with the X Buster and no other weapon. Along with this, it can easily defeat all of the forms of the final boss of the game MegaMan Juno along with easily defeat Sera.
Note 2: Mega Man Legends takes place at the end of the timeline[5].
Trivia
- In all Mega Man Legends games, MegaMan is said to be 14 years old, despite the second game taking place one year after the first.
- In Mega Man Legends 2, MegaMan's armor is slightly different from the first game, the most notable change being the inclusion of an orange backpack as a permanent fixture and moving the silver knobs from the center of his shoulders out to the side. He also appeared with this design in Namco vs Capcom and Street Fighter × All Capcom, but usually appears using his design from the first game.
- Except for the instruction manuals from the first two Mega Man Legends games, his name is consistently written as MegaMan instead of Mega Man in all of his appearances.
- In the Mega Man Legends 2 ending credits, the voice cast uses his Japanese name.
- His name is written as "Rock-Volnatto" in the Japanese Rockman DASH 2 instruction manuals.
- Susan Roman, who voiced Amelia in the first Mega Man Legends, did the voice of MegaMan in Mega Man Legends 2, replacing Corey Sevier presumably due to his voice maturing since the first game.
- In the Tatsunoko vs. Capcom manual, his name was miswritten as "MegaMan Volunutt" on page 30.
- Though MegaMan wears his armor almost all the time, in the opening sequence of Mega Man Legends 2, he is shown without armor and wearing normal clothes.
- Volnutt is one of two Mega Man incarnations to not appear in all installments of his series (the other one is Copy X, who isn't involved in half of "his" series and was only a copy of the original Mega Man X), though he has a cameo appearance in the ending of The Misadventures of Tron Bonne.
- In the manual for Cannon Spike, the image of MegaMan Volnutt appears on the section related to Mega Man, even though the game actually features classic Mega Man, not Volnutt.
- MegaMan Volnutt is the only Mega Man incarnation who is rarely seen with a helmet, with several artwork and crossover appearances depicting him without one. However, the player can equip one on him in both Legends games, and the North American and European box art of Mega Man Legends 2 shows him wearing one.
- MegaMan Volnutt is the only Mega Man incarnation who doesn't explode upon death.[6] However, he was originally going to feature an explosive death while Mega Man Legends was under development, but was removed likely due to Volnutt being considered the most "human" Mega Man at the time.[7]
