Background
Bubble Man (バブルマン Baburuman) is a Robot Master from Mega Man 2. He is the first aquatic Robot Master created by Dr. Wily for underwater combat. However, a defect in his systems made him unable to walk on land, being only able to move by jumping. Despite this flaw, Bubble Man is at home in the water, being able to swim at a remarkable speed. Bubble Man's Special Weapon is the Bubble Lead and he can use it for several different purposes such as including hitting opponents with bursts of small bubbles and blowing larger and more durable bubbles to either wrap opponents inside to trap them temporarily, or for Bubble Man himself to hide in as his own personal shield.

- Bubble Lead: Bubble Lead is Bubble Man's Special Weapon. It shoots a heavy bubble that rolls around on the ground. These bubbles have high attack power and can be used to locate traps in the ground.

Standard Tactics: Bubble Man Jumps around shooting energy projectiles and uses his Bubble Lead both offensively and defensively.
Weaknesses: Metal Blade and Shadow Blade. If his data is corrupted, he will be incapable of coming back.
Trivia
- His dislike for oil slicks could be a reference to how oil doesn't mix with water.
- Bubble Man and Flash Man were the only two Robot Masters from Mega Man 2 not to appear in the Ruby Spears animated series.
- Two of Bubble Man's names from his early designs were Water Man and Pump Man.[124] The name Pump Man would eventually be used in Mega Man 10.
- Due to limitations of the systems, in many of the games, the blue parts of Bubble Man's head instead appear as green.
- Despite being defeated by the Leaf Shield in the Archie comics, Bubble Man doesn't take any damage from it in the games. This was a deliberate decision by writer Ian Flynn, to show how lame Bubble Man is, as he admitted in an interview with Nintendo Power.
- In his sprite from Mega Man 2 and Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge, his arm cannon appears on his left arm when he is looking to the right side of the screen. In Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters, his cannon is on his left arm when looking to the left.
- Bubble Man is one of the four Robot Masters in Mega Man 2, along with Flash Man, Heat Man, and Wood Man, who is healed when hit with his own weapon.

Dr. Wily has reformed, and he and Dr. Right have joined forces, working together to develop a giant peace-keeping robot named “GAMMA”.
“GAMMA”…… It was the life-long dream of Dr. Right, a giant robot to protect and serve world peace.
Their research almost complete, all that remained was to combine 8 energy elements that were scattered about the uncharted planets, and bestow them to “GAMMA”…
–However, each planet met with an unexpected incident. The robots who were mining the energy elements suddenly began going berserk!! Upon learning of this from Dr. Right, “ROCKMAN” immediately set out on a path for the uncharted planets–a new battle was about to begin!! - ↑ Q. Do robots like those made by Dr. Wily or Dr. Cossack have self-awareness, and can they talk? And do they run on solar energy like Rockman does?
A. I take it you’d like to know if Wily and Cossack’s robots possess “sentience”? Naturally, they each have a “consciousness”, although the level of every “cognitive circuit” embedded inside each one of them varies, producing as many different “personality” types as found in people… Just like you or I, they can speak, and have emotional responses like shyness, or anger, just as we do.
Regarding their energy systems, many of them do utilize “solar energy” in some way. - ↑ The exact type of degree isn't noted, but due to it being an American manual, it's likely referring to Farenheit
