Gine
“ | Bardock... Why are you going through so much trouble? It's not like a Saiyan man to worry about his children. | „ |

Appearance
In Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butōden, she wears pink battle armor with blue armbands. Personality
However, despite her gentleness, she is shown to be protective of her youngest son, as she briefly argues with Bardock about sending Kakarot to Earth as an infiltration baby, knowing it is dangerous. She is also shown to be proud of Raditz for being assigned to invade a planet with the Saiyan Prince Vegeta, showing that she loves both of her sons. In Dragon Ball Fusions, she nearly reveals herself to be Kid Goku's mother when she encounters him in the Timespace Rift, though reconsiders and decides to keep their relationship as mother and son from him much like her husband does when he meets Kid Goku. She is shown to stand up for her fellow Saiyans when she overhears some fighters plotting to crush a Saiyan before they can transform into a Super Saiyan and become a threat, however she ends up being badly injured. Her refusal to stand by while these men were plotting to kill a fellow Saiyan is quite similar to her son Goku, who is well known for his willingness to protect innocent people and animals. After Goku comes to her rescue, she worries about him when he is attacked by Yamma while asking if she is alright, though she is shocked when Goku stops the attack. Seeing how strong he has become, Gine decides she wants to do something to help her son while noting that Bardock would probably tease her for being overly sentimental. Like her husband, she has no problem referring to her son by his adopted name, Goku, though she does call him by his birth name when she first meets him. Background
Granolah the Survivor Saga
During the brief flashback to when Gine introduced Bardock to their newborn son, Gine wonders if Raditz will be jealous he has a younger brother, and it is revealed Bardock was the one who named him Kakarot. Bardock is also shown to share his youngest son's ignorance to concepts unrelated to fighting as Bardock notes how Gine's belly was smaller indicating he doesn't fully understand how pregnancy works. It is also during said saga that Goku finally hears Monaito utter his father's name causing Vegeta to confirm that Bardock is the name of his father, with Vegeta noting that Goku's softheartedness apparently runs in his family, indicating he may be aware of Gine's gentle-hearted nature in addition to her husband's act of compassion on Cereal (presumably through Raditz and/or due Gine's gentle nature ultimately leading her to leave the Saiyan Army). When Goku later listens to the audio on Bardock's scouter, his memories of his parents - previously lost due to his head injury as a child - were restored; him remembering Gine on the night he was sent away, as well as seeing other memories of her back when he was still growing in the nursing capsule. Broly film and Dragon Ball Minus
When Bardock brings the Attack Ball at night, he and Gine put the little and distraught Kakarot inside. Gine suggests they all flee, but Bardock says it is no use since they would immediately be found through the scouters. Gine nervously reassures her son that if his father is just overthinking this, they will come after him right away. Bardock warns Kakarot not to look at the full moon; they will tell Raditz about this too and Kakarot's whereabouts. Bardock also warns Kakarot to watch out for the Galactic Patrolmen as the pod rockets Bardock puts his arm around Gine and both watch their son leaving Planet Vegeta. Gine is presumed to be killed along with most of the other Saiyans when Frieza destroys Planet Vegeta. No account details her survival. |

Codex Statistics
Grade: B
Tier: At least 8-B. Higher as an Oozaru
Cardinality: Finite
Dimensionality: 3-D
Attack Potency: At least City Block level (Despite being a low class warrior, she should be superior to Jaco, as he cannot defeat a fully grown Saiyan. Jaco easily took down several of Frieza's soldiers, who view power levels of 1,000 as completely weak, making them far beyond early Saiyan Saga Piccolo, who had a power level of at least 408, who is superior to 23rd Budokai Saga Son Goku, where he was far above his Red Ribbon Army Saga self who defeated General Blue who survived his plane crashing into a mountain at full speed{3.72 Tons of TNT}, then after his training with Korin, it was noted by Korin his power increased "manyfold", making him at least two times stronger then before {7.44 Tons of TNT}, and also drank the Water of the Gods, where he absorbed all the hidden potential within him, greatly boosting his power, as training with Korrin increased his power manyfold, an even greater object such as the Water of Gods should have roughly the same effect meaning he should've had at least gotten two times stronger{~15 Tons of TNT}). Higher an an Oozaru (Her power as a Great Ape increases tenfold, which would put her power level around 10,000, putting it above Son Goku when his power level was 8,000)
Durability: At least City Block level. Higher as an Oozaru, Higher with Guard Up (Ki allows a fighter to extend beyond their bodies limits, allowing them to even block attacks that would otherwise kill them from raising their guard)
Striking Strength: At least City Block Class. Higher as an Oozaru
Lifting Strength: Class 1 (Superior to Early Saiyan Saga Goku, who before training with King Kai is able to barely move around and jump in gravity that multiplies his weight by ten times, where he's naturally 62 kg, thus making him 620 kg on King Kai's planet), Higher as an Oozaru
Travel Speed: At least Superhuman (Should be far faster than Son Goku during original Dragon Ball and the very beginning of the Saiyan Saga), Higher as an Oozaru
Attack Speed: High Hypersonic, Higher as an Oozaru
Reaction Speed: High Hypersonic (Far beyond 22nd Budokai Son Goku, who could dodge a mouth blast from Tambourine, which he used to tag the flying nimbus where even post King Kai training Goku used the flying nimbus to make it to the saiyans implying it is at least comparable to his flight speed by then, with Goku being capable of traveling over a million of kilometers in two days which results in these speeds), Higher as an Oozaru
Stamina: Superhuman (Saiyans naturally have superhuman stamina due to being natural fighters. Should be comparable to Vegeta who stood thinking for three days without showing any signs of tiring or growing hungry)
Range: Standard Melee, Interstellar with Ki Attacks (Ki attacks can reach out of the planet and to other planets. All ki attacks should be comparable to Goku's kamehameha, which reached all the way to the sun)
Intelligence: Gifted Intelligence (Saiyans are naturally gifted in fighting, Gine despite being a low class warrior should be comparable)
Powers and Techniques
Resistance to Radiation Manipulation (Saiyans are able to absorb up to 17 million zeno units per second of green-spectrum radiation in order to trigger the Great Ape transformation)
Equipment
- Battle Armor - Like most Saiyans, Gine wears Battle Armor even after retiring from the Saiyan Army as her normal attire.
- Knife - As a meat processing employee, Gine uses knives and meat cleavers to cut up meat.
Notable Techniques
- Flight - The ability to fly with the use of ki.
- Ki Blast - The basic form of ki blasts.
- Maiden Blast - An energy attack originally used by Pan. One of Gine's default Special Moves in Dragon Ball Fusions.
- Healing Shout - A shout that heals Gine and any allies around her. One of Gine's default Special Moves in Dragon Ball Fusion.
Other
Standard Tactics: Gine would likely use hand to hand combat alongside her ki blasts.
Weaknesses
- Standard Ki Weaknesses: Due to the nature of ki draining stamina and energy, Dragon Ball characters ki usage requires them to usually use their higher levels of energy in short bursts, using a large amount of ki overtime can greatly weaken them to the point that characters far lower then them can actually harm them with attacks. Taking large amounts of damage can greatly deplete a ki users attacks, making it where attacks that would otherwise kill massively weakened characters, only pushes them back. Ki users that are able to ki sense cannot do it when their guard is dropped, such as when Vegeta was able to sneak attack Son Goku during the end of their fight in the Buu Saga. Despite some ki users being able to reach blasts that can destroy planets through charged attacks or techniques, they have not shown to be able to tank such blasts themself, with attacks that have destroyed several planets in the series always killing the character. Even characters such as Majin Buu's body cannot withstand the energy of a planet exploding.
