Background
Pan is the granddaughter of Earth's hero, Son Goku and the world champion, Mr. Satan. Her heritage is primarily Earthling, being the offspring of the Saiyan-Earthling hybrid Son Gohan and the Earthling Videl, thus making her a quarter-Saiyan. She's been stated to have inherited Gohan's great potential.
This dropdown contains the synopsis of Pan’s story. Read at your own risk as you may be spoiled otherwise! |
---|
Battle of Gods Resurrection F One day, during a visit from Mr. Satan, Gohan returns home from a science conference and dons his Great Saiyaman persona to spar with Mr. Satan while holding Pan. This entertains Pan but draws Chi-Chi's scolding, as she wants Pan to grow up "lady-like." Later, Chi-Chi, Bulma, and Videl discuss Pan's upbringing, with Videl ultimately deciding that Pan should grow up on her own terms. She sees no issue with Pan becoming a martial artist, given her own experiences with Gohan. At another point, Piccolo babysits Pan while her parents are out shopping, amusing her with funny faces and games of peek-a-boo. When her parents return, Videl gently holds her. Pan is later comforted by Videl when she starts crying, unaware of Frieza’s destruction of Earth, which kills them both. However, Whis rewinds time with his Temporal Do-Over, allowing Goku to defeat Frieza and prevent the catastrophe. Afterward, Gohan reassures Pan and Videl of their safety, and Pan smiles at her father. She later attends a celebratory feast hosted by Bulma, surrounded by her family and friends. Universe 6 Saga Throughout the tournament, Pan stays with her mother and watches the matches, including the opening fight between Goku and Botamo. When Vegeta begins violently pummeling Cabba, Videl quickly covers Pan's eyes to shield her from the scene. Copy-Vegeta Saga The next morning, Pan crawls out of the house and ends up in the hands of Pilaf, Shu, and Mai, who are outside plotting. Overhearing Goku and Gohan's phone conversation, they realize Pan is Gohan's daughter. Nervously trying to avoid detection, the trio flees in the Pilaf Machine, only to discover Mai had taken Pan with her. As Pilaf panics, Pan starts crying and soils her diaper, causing the machine to reek. Pilaf accidentally presses a button, destroying the Pilaf Machine. The trio soon realizes Pan has powered up, floating effortlessly in the sky and carrying them. Delighted by her newfound ability, Pan flies around joyfully, dropping Pilaf, Shu, and Mai in a random location before returning home. When Gohan and Videl return, Pan cheerfully greets them at the door. Goku, Goten, Chi-Chi, and Piccolo, who had been searching for Pan frantically, tell them she must have crawled into a closet or under the bed. Exhausted, they say nothing about her adventure. As Gohan holds Pan, she reaches out to Goku, calling him "Gramps." Gohan then shares his decision to turn down a job offer so he can stay home and care for Pan and Videl. Future Trunks Saga When Gohan returns from his report, Pan and Trunks are seen pulling on Trunks's sword in a tug-of-war. Pan lets go when Gohan tells her to, then starts playing with sand while Gohan and Trunks converse. She is last seen as Trunks bids farewell to Gohan, Videl, Mr. Satan, and herself. Later, Pan is kidnapped by the Watagash-possessed Barry Kahn, who attempts to ruin Gohan and Videl's marriage. However, she is rescued by Gohan in his "Super Great Saiyaman" persona, who defeats both Watagash and Barry. Universe Survival Saga Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero After school, Pan waits outside with her teacher for her pick-up. A strange man approaches, claiming that her mother sent him, but Pan quickly notices the lie and knocks him unconscious. Piccolo, disguised as a Red Ribbon soldier, approaches next, and despite his helmet covering his face, Pan immediately recognizes him. Piccolo explains that he wants her to pretend to be kidnapped to lure her father, Gohan, into action and rekindle his fighting instincts. Pan eagerly agrees. When Magenta's plans begin to fail due to Gohan and Piccolo's intervention, he rushes to release Cell Max, with Carmine assisting him. Pan takes out several soldiers, and when Carmine attempts to shoot her, she knocks him out as well. However, Cell Max is released and wreaks havoc. Pan learns to fly just in time to escape the chaos. After Gohan and Piccolo defeat Cell Max, Pan rushes to hug her father, proudly showing off her newly acquired flying skills. Peaceful World Saga Before the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament, Pan joined Goku on a trip to a fairground. Despite an incident where a rude stranger spilled her ice cream and flipped her off, Goku quickly resolved the situation by giving her another ice cream, preventing a tantrum. In the tournament itself, Pan showcased her training under Goku by effortlessly defeating Wild Tiger, a large and muscular competitor, with just two punches that sent him crashing into a wall. In the anime's closing scenes, Pan is shown sparring with Goten, and it appears she emerges victorious. Trunks raises her hand in celebration, though this seems to be an informal match, as suggested by the "Canceled" sign on the arena and the departing crowd. |

Codex Statistics
Grade: B
Tier: At least 7-A
Cardinality: Finite
Dimensionality: 3-D
Power Source: Ki (All beings in Dragon Ball[1][2][3] have ki, the very life force energy of all characters[4], ki allows a fighter to extend beyond their bodies limits, allowing them to even[5] block attacks that would otherwise[6] kill them from[7] raising their guard[8], higher level users can lower their own durability to allow people far below them to fatally wound them[9])
Attack Potency: At least Metropolis level (Potency) (Fought against and defeated Son Goten who as a kid was comparable to Kid Trunks, but slightly weaker due to being younger; a Ki blast from whom surprised Android #18. Goten and Trunks’s individual powers were even enough to terrify her. Android #18 herself was able to defeat Super Saiyans without trouble; making her far above the likes of Nappa who casually destroyed a city and stood within the blast without having any damage, and Raditz who can cause explosions dwarfing the mountains, which results in these levels of energy)
Durability: At least Metropolis level (Matched Son Goten's blows during the brief battle they had), Higher with Guard Up (Ki allows a fighter to extend beyond their bodies limits, allowing them to even block attacks that would otherwise kill them from raising their guard)
Striking Strength: At least Metropolis Class (Potency)
Lifting Strength: At least Class 25 (Comparable to Early Android Saga Vegeta, who trained in 300 times gravity, where Vegeta is naturally 56 kg, making him 16,800 kg or 16.8 tons)
Travel Speed: At least Massively Hypersonic+ (Is superior to Frieza Saga Son Goku, who traveled from Frieza's spaceship to the battle in this timeframe and flew over Snake Way in 28 hours, at around 5000 m/s. Flew around the world)
Attack Speed: At least Massively Hypersonic+
Reaction Speed: At least Massively Hypersonic+ (Far Beyond 22nd Budokai Son Goku, who could dodge a mouth blast from Tambourine, which he used to tag the flying nimbus where even post King Kai training Goku used the flying nimbus to make it to the Saiyans implying it is at least comparable to his flight speed by then, with Goku being capable of traveling over a million of kilometers in two days which results in these speeds)
Stamina: Superhuman (Should be comparable to, if not superior to, early-Dragon Ball Z Goku, who traveled across Snake Way mainly non-stop for over 100 days)
Range: Standard Melee, Interstellar with Ki Attacks (Ki attacks can reach out of the planet and to other planets. All ki attacks should be comparable to Goku's kamehameha, which reached all the way to the sun)
Intelligence: Gifted Intelligence (At the age of only 4, Pan is an incredibly powerful fighter with a lot of potential)
Knowledge: Apprentice level
Powers and Techniques
- Chi Manipulation & Ki Manipulation (All beings in Dragon Ball[10][11][12] have ki, the very life force energy of all characters[13], ki allows a fighter to extend beyond their bodies limits, allowing them to even[14] block attacks that would otherwise[15] kill them from[16] raising their guard[17], higher level users can lower their own durability to allow people far below them to fatally wound them[18])
- Aura
- Projection: A users ki aura can exert itself[19] as a weapon to attack[20].
- Explosive: Ki users through powering up can form an entire aura around themself, radiating their immense power[21], where depending on their immense strength, can cause them to explode their aura outwards to remove excess ki from themself[22].
- Mood Reflection: Goku and Piccolo Jr. with their auras and their stern concentration on each other reflected in their electric auras, even shooting electricity at each other[23].
- Emotional Empowerment (It's noted that ki users can receive energy through one cheering them on[24]. Ki users can be greatly increased by their emotions and beliefs, Son Goku explains that Son Gohan needs to remember the time he fought Cell and bring out all of the power he has, this way he can lose to no one[25] where it's shown during the Cell beam clash that he was holding back greatly out of fear of destroying the earth but from being cheered on and using all of his power within him, he was able to overpower Cell[26])
- Attack Reflection (All Ki users are able to reflect attacks just by being stronger than their opponent[27]. Examples include, Nappa deflecting a masenko from Son Gohan[28], Son Gohan being able to bounce back the spirit bomb[29], Son Goku deflecting a crusher ball from Jeice[30], Frieza deflecting a Final Burst Cannon from Vegeta[31], Son Goku reflecting multiple death beams back to back from Frieza[32], and Future Trunks being able to completely repel an energy blast with his hand from a Frieza Soldier just by being much stronger than them[33])
- Homing Attack (Ki users can create attacks that will home in and chase a target forever[34])
- Penetration Damage (Bladed Penetration; Ki users can conjure up a circle of chi that is sharp and can cut through enemies far more powerful then themselves[35][36], along with this they can conjure ki as a means to stab through an opponent[37])
- Weapon Creation (Ki users can create energy weapons out of their attacks[38])
- Power Absorption & Energy Transferal (Ki users can transfer their ki to others and absorb the ki given to them from others[39])
- Attack Nullification (Ki Energy Based; Those with ki can nullify attacks of lesser ki with their ki alone[40][41]. They can also catch and nullify ki attacks around their level through focusing enough[42])
- Power Nullification (Ki Energy Based; Through having greater ki, one can nullify the powers done through ki attacks, such as Frieza being able to nullify a hakai ball[43], which fully destroys a target[44], though he is unable to resist a hakai ball from Toppo due to him being stronger[45], this ability however only works on ki, attacks unrelated, characters cannot resist through being stronger, such as how Vegeta, Krillin, & Son Gohan are unable to resist Guldo's psychic powers[46], along with even the likes of Son Goku[47])
- Forcefield Creation (Ki users such as Cell can generate forcefields around themselves[48]. These forcefields can be expanded[49], and used to protect others and defend against attacks far higher then the user[50])
- Super Armor (Through releasing one's ki, they enter a state known as "Hyper Mode"[51], in this state they do not flinch from weak melee attacks[52])
- Self-Destruction (Ki users in Dragon Ball are able to[53] release all of the energy within them[54] to cause a massive[55] self-destruction of energy that normally kills the user and turns them into dust[56] though one can control it to surviving but having no stamina or energy left[57])
- Binding (Energy Binding; Ki Users can use their ki to bind targets to objects, making them unable to escape even if they're of equal power[58], however, those stronger than the ki user can easily break out of it[59])
- Dreaming Existence (Characters in Shin Budokai have shown to create physical bodies in alternate timelines through dreaming[60])
- Non-Standard Interaction
- Intangible Interaction: Those with ki can block intangible attacks when they focus and notices them[61].
- Space-Time Interaction (3+1-D); Characters can blast space-time distortions to close them[62]).
- Healing (Healing Singular Targets, Advanced Healing; Ki can be used to heal beings, allowing them to survive even with half their torso[63], it can also heal from near death[64])
- Resurrection
- Resurrection of the Deceased (Limited): Ki users can resurrect ones heart from death if their ki beams hit their heart, restarting it[65].
- Resurrection from Exhaustion: Can heal downed allies to give them ki back, reviving them[66])
- Intimidation & Spirit Manipulation (Ki is the manifestation of one’s lifeforce[67], along with the aura giving one the feeling of being crushed[68], exerting fear[69] into the target, sometimes making them incapable of moving as their[70] body is instinctively stuck due to the sheer difference in power[71])
- Link Manipulation & Mind Manipulation (Characters can link their ki together and train within each other’s mind enacting in image training[72])
- Vibration Manipulation (Seismic Vibration Manipulation; Ki users can transfer their ki into an object and cause it to vibrate and shake greatly[73]. Powerful ki users can cause the very ground itself to shake when they power up[74])
- Electricity Manipulation (Unknown Voltage; Powerful Ki users can generate electricity around their aura that can outright electrocute their opponents[75], Goku and Piccolo Jr. showcased being able to utilize their aura as pure electricity during their clash[76])
- Weather Manipulation (Powerful Ki users can generate entire storms through merely powering up alone, Nappa used this in order to conjure the electricity from the storm[77]. Goku showcases this when he first turns super saiyan, causing a massive lightning storm in the background[78])
- Energy Manipulation (Ki is the latent power in one's body, this latent power allows them to form and create energy from controlling their ki, which can be used to shoot out energy blast[79])
- Explosion Manipulation (Ki attacks can create massive explosions[80], or control the ki to set off a huge explosion under the enemy[81], or in front of them[82])
- Heat Manipulation (At least 100 C; Ki user's ki attacks produce heat allowing them to cook and grill animals and raw meat[83][84], along with leaving behind steam after the attacks hit an area, showing its latent heat. Ki users electricity aura can burn objects that touch it[85])
- Light Manipulation (Ki can be used as a flash of light[86][87][88][89][90][91][92][93][94], Degisu seeing ki attacks be fired notes that the characters are "firing light from their hands"[95]).
- Limited Resistance to
- Longevity (Saiyans can keep their youth until around 80 years old)
- Reactive Power Level (A Saiyan’s power increases if they survive from injuries in battle, with their powers allowing them to greatly exceed their previous levels beforehand)
- Rage Power (Mere rage can amplify a Saiyan to a level that's believed to be a myth even by the highest levels of Saiyans in the verse)
- Damage Boost (Saiyans attack power rises when health is low)
- Statistics Amplification (Saiyans have all of their stats rise when they're revived)
- Transformation (Transformative Arsenal; If Saiyans have their tail, they can transform into a giant great ape when the full moon shines).
Equipment
- Turtle School Uniform: A Gi worn by Pan as a child which she acquired from her grandfather Goku.
Notable Techniques
- Flight: The ability to fly through the use of ki. Pan was able to fly as an infant without any formal training, but forgot how to consciously do at some point afterwards. At the end of the events of Super Hero, she relearned how to fly and can do so at will.
- Ki Blast: The most basic form of energy wave.
- Kamehameha: A powerful Ki blast fired with two hands after concentrating a large amount of Ki.
Other
Standard Tactics: Pan will use hand to hand fighting, she has not direclty shown to use ki attacks though she didn't fight anyone strong enough or long enough to display this.
Weaknesses:
- Standard Ki Weaknesses: Due to the nature of ki draining stamina and energy, Dragon Ball characters ki usage requires them to usually use their higher levels of energy in short bursts, using a large amount of ki overtime can greatly weaken them to the point that characters far lower then them can actually harm them with attacks[98]. Taking large amounts of damage can greatly deplete a ki users attacks, making it where attacks that would otherwise kill massively weakened characters, only pushes them back[99]. Ki users that are able to ki sense cannot do it when their guard is dropped, such as when Vegeta was able to sneak attack Son Goku during the end of their fight in the Buu Saga[100]. Despite some ki users being able to reach blasts that can destroy planets through charged attacks or techniques[101][102][103][104], they have not shown to be able to tank such blasts themself[105][106][107], with attacks that have[108] destroyed several[109] planets in the series[110] always killing the character. Even characters such as Majin Buu's body cannot withstand the energy of a planet exploding.
