Bospider (ボスパイダー, Bosupaidā, portmanteau of "boss" and "spider"), known as Bosspider in the remake Mega Man Maverick Hunter X, is the giant spider boss at the end of the first part of the final stages in Mega Man X, Mega Man Maverick Hunter X, and Mega Man Xtreme. It was developed to be a large-scale Crusher that was once used to crush scrap metal before being roped into guarding Sigma's fortress, where it moves in a web-shaped rail. Although it was supposed to be an invincible defense mechanism, the shock when hitting the ground causes it to expose its weak point due to a design error.
Name: Bospider, Bosspider
Origin: Mega Man X
Assigned Gender: Genderless
Age: Unknown
Classification: Bospider, Maverick
Species: Spider Mechaniloid
Occupation: None
Status: Other (Bospider was destroyed in Mega Man X1 but like all robots, Bospider still exists as its data)
Alignment: Lawful Evil (Bospider is a Mechaniloid under Sigma's control used to attack X in his fortress)
Tier: 5-B
Cardinality: Finite
Dimensionality: 3-D
Power Source: Solar Energy (Robot Masters[1][2][3] are built in with[4] usages of solar energy to charge their bodies and use their weapons essentially limitlessly[5])
Attack Potency: Planet level (Potency) (Can fight and harm X. X fought and defeated Optic Sunflower who used the data of the Final Weapon to perform his Earth Crush attack. Zero after gaining Optic Sunflower's weapon data can also use this attack with his Tenshouha technique. The Final Weapon was stated to be able to destroy the Earth and was going to be used by Sigma to do so. The data of things in Mega Man are portrayed as equal to their real world counterparts as shown consistently throughout the series multiple[6] times[7]. Optic Sunflower is also stated and shown to have control over data within cyberspace, being the root cause of the programs going haywire upon becoming Maverick. He also can download any data stored such as Cut Man's which was used to fight the Maverick Hunters. The Final Weapon's data should be stored as Mega Man Xtreme shows that the past data of entire stages is stored within cyberspaces)
Durability: Planet level (Is noted to have defense so high it is said to be an invincible defense mechanism normally[8] and it can only be harmed on it's weakpoint. Can take hits from First Armor X on its weakpoint)
Striking Strength: Planet Class (Potency)
Lifting Strength: At least Class G (Reploids and X-Era Mechaniloids are far superior to the Robot Masters and Mega Man, who was able to hold up Dr. Wily's fortress at end of Mega Man 5, with Robot Masters such as Guts Man being superior in strength to Mega Man and Robot Masters such as Splash Woman having comparable feats such as lifting entire ships from the ocean)
Travel Speed: Massively Hypersonic (Can travel at speeds relative to X and gets faster the more it gets hit. Far beyond the likes of Duo, who is capable of traveling through galaxies while doing his job and likely travels across the universe doing his job to destroy the Evil Energy. Scales far above Mega Man, who can keep up with Duo, who can travel around the earth destroying evil energy around this timeframe)
Attack Speed: Massively Hypersonic (Is able to keep up with X's movements and attacks quickly. Far beyond the likes of Mega Man, who can keep up with Duo in combat who uses attacks that involve his travel speed)
Reaction Speed: Massively Hypersonic Can keep up with X in combat. Far beyond the likes of Mega Man, who can keep up with Duo in combat who uses attacks that involve his travel speed)
Stamina: Essentially Limitless due to being a robot (Should compare to reploids who are solar powered. Superior in model to the Robot Masters, whose bodies are powered by solar energy, effectively giving them limitless stamina and ammo[9][10][11][12])
Range: Extended Melee through Large Size, Higher with Creation & Technological Manipulation (Can create lasers throughout a room with these devices and launches several Petipiders to the ground to walk around the room)
Intelligence: Animalistic Intelligence (Is a Spider Mechaniloid created to just attack and moves around the room mindlessly following the pseudo-lasers it randomly creates until it rams the floor which exposes its weakpoint)
Knowledge: Animalistic level

| Bosspider waits for threads to appear, then rushes down them and slams onto the floor. This exposes its weakpoint. | |

Standard Tactics: Bospider creates random paths down its four rails to crush X, so the player must stay on the move. Its method of navigation is similar to Japanese lot-drawing, or Amidakuji. It has strong defense, but a red core on its abdomen, its weak point, will be exposed when it hits the ground. Occasionally it will spawn four Petitpiders before moving though it will also do this in the middle of its path if the player is in the air. As its health drops, Bospider will move faster while in Maverick Hunter X, the delay between the moment the lasers appear and the moment Bosspider starts moving decreases (in Hard difficulty only).
Weaknesses: Shotgun Ice (Mega Man X), Magnet Mine (Mega Man Xtreme). Mindlessly goes down a random set of threads it creates. Ramming the ground exposes its core which is its weakspot. If it's data is corrupted it can't come back.
