Before we met, scary stuff was actually...pretty scary, and tonight too, 'cause you weren't with me to make it fun somehow, I kind of forgot what that was like.
~ N to Uzi Doorman

Background

Serial Designation N-0X0010010, or simply N, is the deuteragonist in Murder Drones.

Originally a Worker Drone, N was transformed by Cyn into a Disassembly Drone and sent to Copper 9 to eliminate the "runaway AI," the Worker Drones. Over time, N formed a friendship with Uzi Doorman, which eventually blossomed into a romantic relationship. Together, they aimed to rebel against the company and humanity. However, their journey led them to discover the Absolute Solver, a powerful artificial intelligence that affects Uzi and is linked to N's past.

This dropdown contains the synopsis of Serial Designation N’s story. Read at your own risk as you may be spoiled otherwise!

Pre-Series

N is a kind-hearted Disassembly Drone who, like others of his kind, was originally a Worker Drone. He was rescued by Tessa and brought to Elliott Manor, where he served as a butler and met V, J, and the Absolute Solver, who was disguised as Cyn. Later, N and the other workers were reprogrammed by the Solver into Disassembly Drones with suppressed and altered memories, assigned to aid in the Earth's destruction.

Copies of N, V, and J were sent to Copper 9 to eliminate all remaining Workers, seemingly on behalf of JCJenson. During this mission, N was frequently mistreated and disrespected by his teammates.

Pilot

After tricking her father into opening the blast doors to retrieve the final part for her railgun, Uzi enters the Disassembly Drone lair. She finds the railgun part, but as she does, N appears and confronts her, leading to a fight where N injures Uzi by stabbing her hand with his tail and throwing her into a box. Uzi manages to narrowly defeat N by destroying his head with the railgun, but his head quickly repairs itself. In panic, Uzi grabs a nearby Worker Drone arm and hits N with it, temporarily disabling him. This leads N to mistakenly assume Uzi is a Disassembly Drone, allowing them to converse peacefully.

The two then board the Landing Pod, where Uzi uses her hand to neutralize N's nanite acid. Afterward, Uzi learns from N about his squadmates, V and J, and discovers that the pod is a spaceship. She suggests that the Worker Drones could fix it, and they might leave the planet. Hearing V and J approaching, Uzi quickly escapes without N noticing.

V spots Uzi running away and alerts her team, with J dismissing N as offline. N is rebooted and remembers the fight with Uzi. He realizes the railgun is missing and becomes frantic, chasing after Uzi. Uzi reaches the bunker but struggles to close Door One as N holds it open with his claws. He sabotages the door control panel, allowing all doors to open, and proceeds to slaughter nearby Worker Drones while pursuing Uzi.

Khan suddenly appears, shocked by the chaos, but is unable to shoot N. N ambushes Uzi, injuring her and throwing her railgun away. Despite Uzi's pleas, Khan shuts Door Three, leaving her behind. N briefly shows remorse and throws Uzi aside when V and J appear. He is praised for getting through the doors and receives a JCJenson pen, though he begins to feel unsettled by Uzi's words about the fate of the Disassembly Drones.

J seizes the opportunity to eliminate N, planting a virus chip on him. She leaves him for dead as she flies off, but Uzi soon appears and removes the chip with a wrench given to her by Khan. The two decide to work together, with N's betrayal being called the "worst in history" by Uzi.

N and Uzi intervene just before V and J can destroy the Worker Drone colony, resulting in a battle. Uzi faces off against J, while N fights V. At one point, N disorients V by licking one of her blades, then knocks her down and binds her with her own tail. After the conflict, Uzi leaves the colony, and N flies away with Uzi and V. Later, N is seen hiding from the sunlight inside the corpse spire, while Uzi outside plans to eliminate all humans.

Heartbeat

The episode begins with N having a dream about his past as a butler Worker Drone at the Elliott family's mansion. He accidentally spills glassware while bumping into V, who is also a Worker Drone at the time. As they both bend down to pick up the items, their fingers briefly touch, causing a spark of electricity between them. They blush, but J interrupts by kicking N and demanding him to "move it." J notices Tessa nearby and greets her, but gets annoyed when she sees another Worker Drone with Tessa.

N suddenly wakes up, disoriented and hanging upside down by his tail, before falling to the ground. Uzi calls out to N from the landing pod, claiming to have found something. N returns to the pod, realizing that he's the pilot. Excited at first, he becomes anxious when he remembers he crashed the pod and "ruined everything."

N questions Uzi about her plan to kill all humans, doubting its morality. Uzi explains that humans are beyond reason since they didn't teach the Disassembly Drones how to land their pod and erased their memories. V then confronts Uzi, reminding her that the Disassembly Drones were programmed to terminate rogue AIs. N pulls Uzi away to prevent a fight and points out that J was receiving orders through the communication relay. He wonders who, if not humans, is controlling them, which annoys Uzi. She tells N to stop complicating her plan.

N, Uzi, and Thad leave the corpse spire and run into Thad, who mentions that Worker Drones have been disappearing. Uzi reluctantly agrees to investigate, and they head to the bunker. Though Ron initially refuses to let N inside, N gives him a crude apology card for the murders, and Ron accepts it, allowing them in with the condition not to do it again.

The trio investigates the area where J's body was found. While examining a box related to the Absolute Solver, they notice a hand crawling towards them, which grabs Thad's leg. N fires a rocket at the arm's direction, revealing a giant centipede-like drone lurking in the shadows. The hand pulls Thad away, and N throws a ninja star, severing the Solver's arm. However, the Solver knocks N and Uzi down and pulls Thad into the darkness.

N and Uzi pursue Thad, encountering a hologram of Thad created by the Solver, attempting to deceive them. The hologram fails, and N throws a ninja star, which Uzi kicks mid-air, boosting its trajectory. The star cuts off the Solver's arm, and the hologram disappears. Thad runs off.

Uzi then asks about the Solver, which creates a hologram of her mother, saying it's disappointed that Uzi doesn't remember her. Uzi asks N about it, but he’s nowhere to be found. The Solver then creates a hologram of Uzi's father, Khan, tearing him in half and eating his corpse, making Uzi uneasy and fearful.

A hologram of N then appears and tricks Uzi into handing over the railgun. The Solver snatches and destroys the railgun, and N reappears, using his chainsaw hands to cut off many of the Solver's limbs. He grabs Uzi and flies her to safety just before the railgun explodes. N shelters Uzi from the blast and stabs the heart of the Absolute Solver, causing it to turn into a black sphere and vanish.

Hearing Worker Drones approaching, N extends his hand to Uzi, but she is terrified, especially after the Solver reappears from J's body. Realizing Uzi won’t accept his help, N decides to leave. He sadly returns to his ship, where V questions why she's being punished. N sits on the ground, avoiding eye contact with V, feeling despondent over the events. V, showing a moment of empathy before growing annoyed, turns away, though she stays with N, even though the chain around her neck is broken.

The Promening

N and V are aboard the Disassembly Drone ship, where they encounter a male and female skeleton dressed in a tuxedo and a dress. N comments that he wants to look dapper and mentions that V had him retrieve the skeletons. V reveals her plan to go to the Worker Drone bunker, trick Uzi into letting them in, and then kill everyone inside. N refuses, saying the Workers are too dangerous to be around. V offers that if N and Uzi stop prying into Uzi's strange eye and abilities, she will only kill to survive, but N still refuses. N then asks if V is hiding anything, offering to help, but in response, V slices off N's head. With her chain broken, she dons the dress and heads to the bunker.

Later, N regenerates his head and prepares to leave the ship to follow V, but stops to put on the tuxedo to look dapper. On his way to the bunker, he runs into Uzi, who’s trying to find him. Just as N is about to leave, Uzi asks for his help in stopping Doll at the prom, blushing as she starts to show more attachment to N. At the prom, right before Doll can kill V with a metal ceiling fan, both N and Uzi crash into the room from the ceiling, and Uzi becomes confused by Doll’s main plan.

Doll attempts to kill V again by throwing the ceiling fan, but N knocks the blades away, saving V. After another failed attempt, Doll questions Uzi about why she’s siding with the Disassembly Drones, refusing to team up with Uzi, V, and N. She attacks them, and N pushes Uzi out of the way before two more ceiling fans thrown by Doll slice up N and V’s bodies. A fight breaks out between Doll and Uzi while N and V reassemble themselves.

As Uzi is about to be killed, N quickly moves her to safety, prompting Uzi to tell him, "Quit saving me." Almost immediately, N saves Uzi again from a thrown table in what seems like an unintentional dance. N then pulls Uzi into his arms and fires a rocket at Doll, while Uzi throws her knife to disorient her. The rocket knocks Doll back, and Uzi expresses concern about N’s injury, telling him not to do that again.

Uzi’s worry shows her growing attachment to N, as she’s starting to care about his safety. As N is about to respond to Uzi, he quickly throws her into the air to protect her from a thrown table that hits him instead. While Uzi manages to kick Doll to the ground, V sneaks up behind Doll and fires a shot from her machine gun hands, hitting Doll in the head. Uzi, however, expresses her displeasure with Doll’s apparent death, as she wanted to extract information from her. Instead, Uzi finds a key to Doll’s room.

Upon entering the room, Uzi, N, and V find numerous bodies of missing Worker Drones. N discovers a white blanket covering two objects, revealing Doll’s parents’ bodies. Doll then appears behind them, repairing the bullet hole in her head. She uses a special ability to throw the bullet back at Uzi, but Uzi stops it mid-air and tosses it aside. Realizing Uzi also has abilities, Doll agrees to help them find what they’re looking for and teleports away before they can catch her.

Cabin Fever

At the beginning of the episode, N and V arrive at Camp 98.7, both dressed in camp outfits. N welcomes the Worker Drones and, pretending to be a camp counselor, orders the students to sound off, but nothing happens. To enforce obedience, V shoots one of the students, causing N to disapprove but ultimately letting it slide when the students fall into line. He then tells the class they have many "distracting activities" planned and warns them not to "run away to investigate stuff."

When he orders the students to head to the bunks, everyone stays frozen in place. Thad is the first to approach the Disassembly Drones, followed by Lizzy, who throws the stolen items at V. The two stand with N and V, and soon the rest of the students follow suit. Uzi, using sign language, signals to N that she's going to investigate and needs him and V to distract the others. N nods in agreement, allowing Uzi to venture into the forest.

Later, N leads the students in various camp activities, such as canoeing on a frozen lake, where Rebecca flirts with him, and archery, where N demonstrates his skills. During archery, Uzi appears, trying to get his attention with a bug she found. She begs him not to tell V, fearing the latter will harm her if she knows. However, N doesn't understand and calls out to Uzi, prompting the group to stare at her in confusion. Braidon accidentally shoots an arrow at Uzi, but it’s stopped by her Absolute Solver. Uzi flees into the woods, and N and V argue. N insists they can't hurt Uzi, while V argues that she’s only doing her job and needs to get rid of Uzi to keep her off their backs.

N angrily rejects V's reasoning, frustrated by her refusal to explain things to him. He then tells her to look after the campers and flies off to find Uzi. In a cabin, N discovers a VHS tape titled "Zombie Drones!" which triggers a flashback, though much of it is unclear to him due to fear and confusion.

In the woods, mutated Uzi pins V to the ground, ready to strike with her severed tail, but N saves V at the last second. Despite being impaled by V’s tail, N remains unfazed, throwing Uzi into the sky and healing his injury while lecturing V about her actions. V retorts that he always sides with Uzi. N then comforts Uzi as they fall to the ground, returning her to her original form. The survivors board the bus to leave the camp.

On the bus, the sun rises, and Uzi accidentally burns her hand, prompting N to pull it away. Uzi, still asleep, grabs N's hand, which surprises him. He quickly pulls away, looking concerned, and then stares at the VHS tape as the episode ends.

Home

Uzi, V, and N attempt to watch the VHS tape in Uzi's bedroom, but the tape barely starts before the Disassembly Drones pass out, triggering a flashback that forms the main content of the episode.

In N’s memories, it’s revealed that the Disassembly Drones were once regular Worker Drones. N is first seen reading a book about dogs in the library of the Elliott Manor. He later meets Cyn in the kitchen, and she invites him to the gala, but N initially refuses, as their owners forbade them from attending. However, after Cyn uses puppy eyes to persuade him, N agrees, and they go to see Tessa.

When Tessa hugs N, she notices Cyn and questions her presence. When N asks if they were planning to lock Cyn up, Tessa tries to explain but is interrupted by her mother. Tessa’s mother insists that she would throw the Worker Drones away the next day for not keeping Cyn in the library. Cyn protests, claiming they aren’t broken and that they can’t be discarded anymore. N steps in to protect Cyn from Tessa’s mother’s anger, saying he convinced Cyn to say that and brought her to the gala. As punishment, N is tied to a tree and attacked by crows. Though initially unaffected, the crows grow more aggressive after N fails to throw a stick at them.

N is saved by Uzi in the form of a crow, who hacks into N’s memories to prevent him and V from losing their memories. The trio then heads to the mansion, where N finds a deactivated V and tries to retrieve the key to the basement. To his surprise, V is now possessed by Cyn.

N and Uzi seek out Tessa and J, who requests the basement key. Uzi manages to obtain it from J, while Tessa and J stay behind to fight the possessed V. N and Uzi head to the basement, where they find Cyn killing Uzi’s crow form before Uzi hacks Cyn and takes over her Solver body. In the basement, they discover that Cyn has been experimenting on the bodies of Worker Drones.

After Uzi finishes her computer work, she faces off against Doll, but Cyn retakes her body and traps N in a chair, planning to reset his memories. However, she struggles to use her tools due to her Solver claws, making it hard to grip something as small as a scalpel. Cyn then brings a possessed V to reset N’s memories, but N manages to bring V back to normal. Cyn tries to kill N with her tool but is hacked by Uzi after her fight with Doll. Once freed, N helps V stand, and the memory ends with N and V recalling who Uzi truly is.

Later, the trio returns to the camp, only to run into Doll, Tessa, and J.

Dead End

N, V, and Uzi encounter Tessa, J, and Doll near Cabin Fever Labs. N recognizes Tessa, who affectionately greets him before joking about how he’s become too tall for her to lift. Tessa informs the group that Cyn sent the Disassembly Drones to Copper-9 and that they must enter the labs to stop Cyn’s plan.

The group follows Tessa into the labs, flying down into the offices. N is unsettled by the sight of many dead Disassembly Drone bodies. As they progress through the offices, they come across a baby drone, and N instinctively shoots at it before being hit with an EMP.

N is then shown on a bed, laughing like a child as Beau dissects him. While being dissected, N cheerfully gives Beau compliments and suggests where to cut. Alice then sends a message over the radio asking for more sedatives because Uzi is being bitey, which gives N and Tessa a chance to escape.

Once out of the surgery room, N notices a room he believes Uzi and V are trapped in. Tessa assures him they will save V, but N insists they must save Uzi as well. Tessa then shows N a satellite image of a destroyed Earth, which shocks him. She explains that the Absolute Solver mutates damaged AIs, took Cyn as a host, and destroyed the planet. Tessa reveals that the humans on Copper-9 saw the destruction on Earth but instead of stopping it, they spread the Absolute Solver.

N asks if Uzi can still be saved, and Tessa responds that he will need to choose the universe over Uzi before she’s lost to the Solver. Just then, a Sentinel ambushes N, boot-looping him and throwing him into a wall. Tessa attempts to pacify the Sentinel but gets injured, causing it to malfunction. N wakes up, his visor displaying "You're bootlooped [Idiot]."

Thanks to Uzi destroying the door control panel in Alice's office, N and Tessa return to the surgery room, where V, carrying Uzi, jumps in. N asks V about Uzi, and V confirms that Uzi is hurt and they need to leave. After a brief argument between V and Tessa, Uzi wakes up and hugs N, which causes him to have mixed feelings as he returns the hug.

The group exits the room and takes a moment to sit on a raised platform. V aims at a Sentinel while N appears upset. Uzi then uses her face to display text, asking if N is okay. He replies, "It sucks pretty hard." As the group jumps down, they find Doll on the floor, seemingly boot-looped and holding the key bug. V warns that it’s a trap.

Uzi uses her Absolute Solver, prompting N to panic and pull her hand down. Tessa rushes to the boot-looped Doll, grabs the key bug, and remarks that it’s convenient. N holds Uzi’s hand as they, along with V, walk toward Tessa.

At the end of the hallway, they see that Doll has set up a trap. She uses the key bug to unlock all the doors containing Sentinels and releases the elevator before jumping down into the labs. N and Uzi turn away from the Sentinels to avoid being boot-looped while Tessa and V fight them off. Uzi attempts to break open the wall of the elevator with her Absolute Solver but gets further possessed, prompting N to slice off her hand with his sword.

N softens Uzi’s fall before Tessa pulls both of them into the elevator. While inside, V loses her glasses, leaving her vulnerable to boot-looping. In a final act of sacrifice, V uses a laser to cut the rope holding up the elevator, despite N begging her to come with them, stating that they all need her.

Mass Destruction

The episode opens with N, Tessa, and Uzi falling into the labs after the elevator from the previous episode collapsed. N struggles to claw through rocks, desperately trying to return and check if V is alive, but accidentally strikes Uzi in the face with one of the rocks. He reassures Uzi that they aren't going to hurt her, but she misinterprets his words in her panic and activates her Absolute Solver, creating a black hole.

This results in a cave-in, separating the trio. N is later shown trapped under a large rock, his arm crushed. Unable to free himself, N decides to sever his own arm, repeating "I deserve this." As he freezes, he hears V's voice and sees a realistic hologram of her from the manor in Home, which causes him to scream in fear.

Panicking, N tries to saw off his hand, referring to V as a "traumatic ghost." The hologram of V then turns out to be the Absolute Solver in the form of Cyn, attempting to take control of N. The Solver shows N the past, revealing how he and the other Disassembly Drones killed everyone on Earth. Uzi blocks the Solver’s access to N, preventing further possession with her admin access "darkXWolf17."

N then wakes up to find himself being dragged by tentacles. A drone core arrives and rescues him, asking about Khan. The core reveals herself as Nori, Uzi's deceased mother, after learning that N knows Uzi. Nori explains what transpired at the labs. N is eager to tell Uzi her mother is alive, but Nori is reluctant, feeling responsible for the pain in Uzi's life.

Nori asks N to promise not to tell Uzi she’s alive, but N only promises not to tell her until Nori is ready, which frustrates her. Upon returning to the surface, N finds Tessa attempting to impale Uzi with her sword. N confronts her about the patch, stating she had one chance to explain herself. When Tessa doesn’t cooperate, N holds true to his word and kills her by slicing her neck.

N then helps Uzi up, but as she stands, she crushes his hand and destroys the patch, revealing she has been fully possessed by the Absolute Solver. Uzi tries to kill N, but Nori intervenes and saves him. The battle escalates when the Solver holds Nori and attempts to consume her, but N tells Nori that Uzi and he are "hanging out," which enrages Nori. She slaps Uzi out of the Solver’s control.

N is initially relieved that Uzi is back to normal, but his relief turns to panic when Uzi kicks Nori into the pit created by the Solver. N tells Uzi that Nori is her mother, causing Uzi to panic. They scream and embrace, only to hear Doll's body being dragged away. A strange entity, a grotesque fusion of Tessa's corpse and Cyn’s body, emerges, revealing itself as the Absolute Solver.

The entity lunges at N, biting his neck and rendering him unresponsive as it attempts to drag him and Uzi into the core of Copper-9. N wakes up, near the planet's core, as Uzi makes the difficult decision to sacrifice herself to save him. She hands N the keys to Tessa’s ship and throws him out of the cathedral before sacrificing herself.

Absolute End

N is first seen working on the spaceship’s computers when Uzi throws something at him, causing him to spin in his chair. Uzi angrily confronts N for separating her from Nori, but N is about to apologize when Uzi unexpectedly hugs him, telling him he was supposed to escape. N responds, saying he’s actually angry about her sacrificing herself but agrees to discuss it later.

In a panic, N struggles to stop an alarm, hitting random buttons and causing more chaos. He finally presses the correct button, but the alarm sounds again, and he panics even more, accidentally hitting a floating rock. Uzi sarcastically tells him to "DIE MAD BI-" but stops when she notices one of the Solver's tentacles reaching the spaceship, causing the loss of gravity inside the ship.

After the spaceship explodes, N and Uzi fall into the planet's core, holding hands as they descend. They talk about their relationship and confirm they are officially dating before embracing. Uzi pushes N away, and they both head toward the Absolute Solver to stop it.

They land on a piece of Copper 9, posing with shades as the image on their visor. Shortly after, Cyn confronts them on a walkway. When Cyn mentions that she “hurt [N]'s feelings,” N raises his laser cannon at her, but Cyn attacks Uzi. N intervenes, but Cyn rips off his arms and digs into his chest, repeating “Let me in.”

Uzi drags N into a hallway to hide as Cyn follows them. N has a panic attack, recalling the massacre at the manor, but Uzi snaps him out of it by holding his hand. When V appears in the tunnel with them, N hears V’s desperate apologies, but he yells at her to stop, which causes his core to be ripped out. After V flees, Cyn attempts to consume N's core, but Khan intervenes, saving N's life.

N's core falls back into his chest, giving him time to regenerate before the final battle. N plays a minor role in the fight, but when Cyn turns into a hologram of N, he and V stop J from attacking Uzi. N and Uzi discuss having a secret handshake but continue battling Cyn.

After being momentarily distracted by Cyn’s golden retrievers, which disorient N, Uzi saves him. Later, N and Uzi work on their secret handshake but are interrupted by the fight with Cyn. When Uzi consumes the Absolute Solver’s singularity, N rushes to her as she falls unconscious.

Later, N is seen flying with V in search of Uzi. Upon reuniting with her, N embraces her and they have a brief conversation. Back in the classroom, N proudly announces that Uzi is "his girlfriend." He throws a paper plane towards V, revealing a manga drawing of him, V, and Uzi, which he learned to make from a book.

In the credits, N is shown playing cards, watching something with Uzi, flying with her, and having a snowball fight with Uzi, Thad, Lizzy, and V.

Appearance

  • Disassembly Drone Features:

N possesses the typical features of a male Disassembly Drone, including neon-yellow eyes and medium, fluffy silver hair parted to the left. His black headband features five sections of glowing neon-yellow eyes, and his long black tail ends in a syringe filled with Nanite Acid.

  • Physical Damage and Reboot:

After his head was destroyed by Uzi’s railgun, one of the lights on N’s headband turned red. This reverted to yellow after N’s system rebooted, following a physical reset by J.

  • Clothing and Accessories:

N wears a short-sleeved black winter coat with a golden fur collar, a black belt, and a black pilot hat with a white skull insignia. He also has a yellow armband with a skull label on it on his left bicep. The bottom of his feet and wrists are marked with yellow and black hazard stripes.

  • Combat Mode:

In combat, N’s mouth reveals several jagged teeth, and his eyes become an "X" shape. His large white metal wings have a yellow and black color pattern with 16 sharp grey bladed feathers. The middle of these wings is marked with glowing yellow circles.

  • Hand Modifications:

N is equipped with interchangeable hands, which can be swapped out for weapons and tools. One notable set of hands are sharp claws, capable of tearing through drones and other targets with ease.

  • Prom Outfit:

During "The Promening," N wore a discarded three-piece black-gray fancy dress suit with matching slacks.

  • Camper Outfit:

In "Cabin Fever," N wore a scoutmaster's outfit, consisting of a wide-brimmed campaign hat, a brown shirt, and shorts.

Personality

  • Kind and Caring: N is a genuinely kind and well-meaning individual, always eager to befriend others and help his teammates. He constantly forgives his squad members despite their negative attitudes and treats them with a sense of goodwill, even when they mistreat him. His optimism and caring nature make him a likable, if sometimes naive, character.
  • Outcast and Undervalued: Despite his best efforts to be accepted, N is often treated as an outcast by his squad members. His boss, Serial Designation J, frequently insults and threatens him, even stating that she would kill him if allowed. Serial Designation V ignores him entirely, and his fellow workers generally view him as weak. However, N idolizes J and has had a crush on V, showing a lack of awareness of how others view him.
  • Naive and Trusting: N tends to trust others easily, often overlooking the signs of deceit. He believed Uzi was a new squad member when his sensors malfunctioned and didn't immediately pick up on her lies. This tendency to trust without hesitation leads him to be easily manipulated by others, such as when V deceives him with false promises.
  • Protective and Selfless: Despite his own mistreatment, N is willing to go to great lengths to protect his teammates, even if they have treated him poorly. A notable example is when he risked his life to prevent Uzi from using her railgun to kill their squad. He does not hesitate to put others' well-being ahead of his own, even at the cost of his personal safety.
  • Capable and Intelligent: While N's kindness and optimism may make him seem ineffective, he is actually a highly skilled Disassembly Drone. He has demonstrated impressive accuracy with his weaponry and sharp observation skills, being able to spot Uzi even when she barely made a sound. N has also shown intelligence and perception in recognizing threats, such as acknowledging the danger Uzi's railgun posed to his teammates.
  • Quirky Habits: N is shown to have a somewhat eccentric behavior, especially when it comes to using his tongue in various situations. He willingly allows Uzi to put her hand in his mouth to heal her injury and even licks V's blade during a battle, much to the latter's disgust. These odd behaviors are often associated with his tendency to suppress certain emotions.
  • Romantic Growth: Initially harboring feelings for V, N's affections shift towards Uzi as the series progresses, particularly after "The Promening." His evolving feelings show a more mature and developed side of his character, where he is not afraid to express affection and set boundaries in relationships.
  • Trauma and Suppression: N has experienced significant trauma but often suppresses it to maintain his optimistic demeanor. His deep fear is masked by his overly cheerful personality, which he uses to support and uplift his friends, even in difficult situations like being tortured by Beau. This tendency to hide his true emotions makes him a complex and resilient character.
  • Adorable and Playful: N's love for dogs, particularly Golden Retrievers, highlights his softer, more affectionate side. His ability to bond with animals and his gentle nature contribute to his charm and likability, making him relatable to others who value compassion and warmth.

Relationships

Uzi Doorman

  • First Encounter:

Initially Uzi and N were enemies, with him trying to kill her as she was another worker drone[1]. Along with tricking him by messing with his systems so he wasn't able to scan her properly[2]. Once N gets his memories back, he goes immediately after her and the Worker Drones, apologizing to Uzi as he enjoyed his time with her but he can't let Uzi kill V with the Railgun[3]. When she asks her father to pick up the railgun and shoot N when she's about to be killed he instead runs away out of cowardice and fear, leaving her to die, making N feel bad for her[4]. N remembers Uzi's words about what the company plans to do with them after they've done their job and tries to ask J, inciting the beginning of him rebelling against the company as J implants a virus into him to kill him[5].

  • Start of Rebelling:

N apologizes to Uzi for ruining the Worker Drones card game and gave her an awkward moment with her dad[6]. Uzi ultimately helps him before he dies and they work together to defeat V and J[7].

  • Eldritch J:

However, everything changes when Uzi witnesses Eldritch J’s apparent murder of her father[8]. The traumatic experience leaves her terrified of N, fearing he could be capable of the same[9]. N is shown that he feels bad for this[10]. Uzi herself also feels guilty for the wya she acted to N[11]. When they meet again both are nervous though Uzi ultimately asks for N's help and becomes friends with him again[12].

  • Friends:

Uzi gains full trust in N, viewing him as a close friend. Noting to Doll that she's not dealing with things well but she won't anymore deal with things alone, looking and smiling at N[13]. N also saves Uzi from near-death[14], with Uzi telling him to stop saving her[15], out of fear of him potentially dying[16].

The pressure on Uzi continues to mount in "Cabin Fever." Her mental state deteriorates as V’s ominous threats and the disdain from her classmates chip away at her. Her jealousy over N’s popularity only worsens things, and the Absolute Solver seizes on her vulnerability. When she succumbs to its influence, N intervenes and helps her out, reassuring her that with her things aren't as scary[17]. His heartfelt reassurance — that she somehow makes even the terrifying moments fun — gives her the comfort she desperately needs. They share a sincere embrace[18], and from that point on, Uzi’s attachment to N deepens.

  • Romantic Feelings:

At the end of Cabin Fever while Uzi is sleeping, N grabs her hand and the sleeping Uzi instinctively locks her hand with his[19]. During Home Uzi calls N a "cute weird butler"[20]. In "Dead End," Uzi’s concern for N becomes evident. When she sees footage of him being attacked by sentinels, she fears for his life. Upon being rescued herself, she’s overwhelmed with relief at the sight of him. Her immediate response is to tightly hug him[21]. Uzi, who usually bottles up her emotions, begins openly checking on N’s well-being. She uses her visor to ask, "U Good?"[22], similar to what N asked her in prior episodes. Even using a playful ">:3" emoji to lighten up the mood[23]. During the walk down the hall they both hold hands while blushing and sweating[24].

  • Betrayed:

Tessa warns N of what's happening to people like Uzi[25] trying to convince him to choose the universe over Uzi[26]. This leaves N feeling far more nervous around her[27] and trying to stop her[28] from using her powers[29]. The one time he asks her to use her Solver she starts freaking out from the pain she's feeling from it, he tries to re-assure her but Tessa tells simply says his name, signifying that enough is enough[30]. N tries to convince Uzi to stay away from where he and Tessa are going to go, fearing that something worse will happen with the Solver, but says directly to Tessa they won't hurt Uzi[31], but Uzi hears "hurt me" and instinctively activates the Solver, refusing to take N's hand when they get separated[32].

  • Redemption:

Though N later saves Uzi and kills Tessa, choosing Uzi over her[33]. During the fight where the Absolute Solver possesses Uzi, there are several times[34] where N stops his attack since he doesn't want to hit Uzi even when she's under control[35]. Even stopping Uzi from being hit by the axe which briefly awakens her[36].

  • Couple:

In "Mass Destruction," the truth about N & Uzi's feelings are basically revealed. N openly tells Nori, Uzi's mother, that they’re "kinda hanging out," with a heart shaped marker[37]. With Uzi being embarrassed and trying to claim they did not discuss that but hugs N regardless[38]. When Uzi and N are being pulled into the planet's core by Cyn, Uzi risks her own life to save N, pushing him away so he doesn't try to rescue her[39]. In Absolute End Uzi and N confirm for good that they are a couple[40]. At the end of Uzi's presentation, N shouts "That's my girlfriend!"[41].

Serial Designation V

N notes that all the disassembly drones tells him that he's useless and terrible[42]. With V not even recognizing him at first (which is likely due to the Absolute Solver)[43]. N initially has a crush on her[44]. N later betrays her and J and fights against them[45]. Though he doesn't kill her and brings her with them to their ship[46]. Flashbacks of their time as Worker Drones shows they both had feelings for each other[47]. Even in modern time V shows to feel bad for N[48]. She tries to convince N that they both go to the prom and kill all the Worker Drones[49], along with asking N to stop prying into the things about the Absolute Solver as she's worried about N's safety[50]. V after essentially temporarily disabling N tells him that she's doing what's best for him, even if he hates her for it[51]. N tells Uzi how V is purposefully hiding stuff from them with V punching N's arm[52]. She considered Uzi a threat to N when she thought she was just Cyn in another body and tried to kill Uzi to protect N[53]. With N arguing with her over this as she simply just won't tell him what she's so afraid of[54]. N later saves V from nearly being killed by Uzi in her berserk Solver Form[55]. With V afterwards purposefully taking the blame for the missing campers from Uzi's feedings[56]. It's shown in Home that N was very to V when she was the new maid, nice enough to make her briefly resist the control of the Absolute Solver[57]. When surrounded by Sentinels, N says to V that they need her as he knows she's about to sacrifice herself but she tells him she trusts Uzi, cutting the elevator down and putting herself in harms way to make sure everyone else is safe[58]. When she believes she encountered N again, she starts apologizing for keeping everything from him, noting she was just scared for both of them[59]. At the end of the series, N throws a paper to V showing off his new drawing skills, with V smiling back, being proud of him[60].

Serial Designation J

N notes that all the disassembly drones tells him that he's useless and terrible[61]. J specifically tells N how worthless and terrible he is while stepping on him, telling him that she'd kill him herself if the company allowed it[62]. When N questions the exact reason the Disassembly Drones are there and suggests working with the Worker Drones to escape the planet, with J telling him he didn't make a mistake as he finally gave her the excuse she needed to kill him[63]. When N is later alive she and V work together to stop him and fail[64]. J later returns again in Absolute End to fight against Uzi, V, and N and once again loses.

Absolute Solver/Cyn

Cyn is shown to have repeatedly killed and re-uploaded N's memories into a new robot[65], resetting the crucial parts of his memories[66]. The Absolute Solver attempted to use Tessas's body in order to manipulate N[67]. The Absolute Solver notes that N is one of the main reasons she wanted the Disassembly Drones to retain their personalities[68]. N always surprised the Absolute Solver and loved doing anything[69]. The Absolute Solver controlled the Disassembly Drones to help her destroy the planet Earth[70]. Nori refers to the Disassembly Drones as Cyn's "murder pets"[71].

  • Supernatural Protection & Matter Manipulation (If any of the Disassembly Drones are damaged beyond repair, the Absolute Solver takes over and starts a "reboot"[240] reconstructing their body[241] through collecting more matter[242])

  • Equipment

    Ability Function/Example
Corrosive Nanite Acid The end of N's tail has a syringe filled with a yellow liquid containing highly corrosive nanites.
Interchangeable Hands N can swap his hands for various tools and weapons, including:

    - Durable three-pronged claws used for acts of violence (e.g., forcing open doors).
    - A laser cannon, first seen killing Braxton. It malfunctioned humorously when it emitted pink hearts instead of firing when N's "mind was in a weird place."
    - Swords, used in his fight with V.
    - Chainsaws, used to slice off Eldritch J's limbs in "Heartbeat."
    - Shurikens, used to cut Thad free from Eldritch J.
    - Missile launchers, used against Doll during "The Promening."
    - Submachine guns, used to shoot at Beau in "Dead End."
    - A bone saw, seen in "Mass Destruction."

    Notable Techniques

    Ability Function/Example
Flight N has large retractable wings with blade-like feathers, allowing for high-speed flight. These wings can also be used for cutting and impaling targets.
Corrosive Nanite Acid The end of N's tail has a syringe filled with a yellow liquid containing highly corrosive nanites.
Healing Saliva N's saliva can deactivate the corrosive nanites produced by his tail's syringe, similar to V's ability.
Regeneration N can regenerate lost limbs or even his head using an unknown liquid-like substance. His head, for example, regenerated after being hit by Uzi's railgun blast.

General Weapon Proficiency N is proficient in various weapons, including a bow and arrow with superhuman precision, as shown in "Cabin Fever."
EMP Immunity N is immune to EMPs to some extent, as evidenced by his immunity to J's EMP generator in the "PILOT." However, he was affected by Alice's EMP generator in "Dead End."
Increased Strength N possesses immense physical strength, demonstrated in several instances:

    - In the "PILOT," he pried open colossal hydraulic blast doors to Outpost 3 with his claws.
    - In his fight against V, he kicked her hard enough to send her crashing into the ground, shattering it.
    - In "Cabin Fever," he singlehandedly threw Uzi past the cloud layer.
    - As a Worker Drone, N was able to throw a platter with enough force to embed it into a wall.

    Other

Standard Tactics: N utilizes fast and quick strikes along with his essential hammerspace of different arsenals while flying.

    Weaknesses

    Trivia

    • N could have had a British accent, as Liam said that N could have either an American or British accent[254].
    • N appears to have a fascination with branded pens[255], possibly because of the clicking sound made from its retraction.
    • During his system reboot that was initiated by J's slap, N was shown to possess the character trait of a "Lovable Idiot."
      • It's shown that whenever he recovers from unconsciousness, he's addressed as an "idiot" under the line of the code as if mocking him. Whether this is from his programming or the remnants of the Absolute Solver's is unknown, as the messages appear red instead of yellow.
    • In "Heartbeat", it is revealed that his hat was a pilot's hat and that he was possibly the pilot of the Landing Pod. However, he was pointedly not trained on how to land the pod.
    • N is Liam Vickers' favorite character, alongside Uzi. He loves their dynamic, and will not pick one over the other[256][257].
    • According to V, N has made friends with rocks.
    • The writers refer to N as an adult[258].Curiously, N refers to himself and V as "kids" in "Cabin Fever".
    • During the Glitch Inn trailer, N is shown to take photos with his head and print them through his mouth, with a "secondary" mouth appearing on his screen when he does so. This ability is not seen anywhere else in the series itself.

    Codex Statistics Questions

Q: Shouldn't the cast of Murder Drones be around Planetary levels of power due to tanking said destruction?

A: This answer has two layers:

First we'll go under the assumption that this is the case, the cast of Worker Drones have far too many lower feats to suggest this is at all consistent. Worker Drones can be killed by enough ravens pecking them over a long period of time[260] (regardless of how overtime one would like to argue this, it is objectively impossible for ravens to do this to someone with planetary levels of durability), they kept the Disassembly Drones out from their hideout due to the doors in the way[261], where Serial Designation V even noted that she's been trying to get past the doors for month[262], and the Absolute Solvers body was completely destroyed by the rifle's explosion, which required Serial Designation N to shield himself and Uzi[263]. Worker Drones have also been flung away by missile explosions[264], along with receiving light injuries from an explosion across the classroom[265]. N shooting several explosives at a rock formation only destroyed some of it[266], along with being knocked out from a cave in[267], and having his arm stuck under rocks[268], needing to saw his arm off[269]. Uzi gets launched away and nearly knocked out from a spaceship hitting her[270]. With all of these anti feats alone, the supposed feat does not at all line of narratively.
Each time a planet is affected in Murder Drones, it is through a black hole, which is an innate warping of space-time, with no one outright destroying said black holes asides from Cyn destroying a minature one[271]. Thus no one actively "tanked" the destruction of Earth, they survived being in proximity of a black hole which ripped apart Earth, which is a feat of resistance rather then durability.
