Background
Luigi is the younger brother of Mario and is the usual deuteragonist/second player in most games in the Mario series.
In Super Smash Bros Luigi is the first ever unlockable character in the series first appearing in Super Smash Bros on the Nintendo 64. Since his first appearance he has appeared in all Super Smash Bros games as an unlockable character or as a starter character. Luigi has a minor role in the Adventure Mode in Super Smash Bros Melee were he can be fought instead of Mario if the player finishes the first level with an in game timer ending in a 2 which is a reference to Luigi being the second player character in most Mario games. In the Subspace Emissary from Super Smash Bros Brawl Luigi gets turned into a trophy and kidnaped by King Dedede who is actually trying to save him by hiding him from Bowser, Wario, and Ganondorf and then placing badges on his trophy that will revive him later on. Luigi and Ness (another character who was kidnaped) then get revived and help King Dedede save the rest of the Smash Bros cast who have all been turned into trophies by Tabuu. After everyone was saved Luigi and the rest of the smash bros cast then defeat tabuu and save the day. In World of Light form Super Smash Bros Ultimate Luigi was one of the many fighters who was defeated by Galeem and needed to be rescued by Kirby. Luigi and the rest of the Smash Bros cast then defeat Galeem and Dharkon and save the universe.

- Green Missile: Luigi charges up and then launches himself like a missile at great speeds.
- Floating Missile: Luigi charges up faster than the Green Missile and then launches himself like a missile at greater speeds than the Green Missile but at the cost of some damage .
- Quick Missile: Luigi charges up and then launches himself like a missile at greater speeds than both the Green Missile and the Floating Missile and slides more when landing on the ground.
- Super Jump Punch: Luigi jumps up into the air and hits whatever is next to him or above him.
- Fiery Jump Punch: Luigi jumps up into the air and hits whatever is next to him or above him doing more damage than the Super Jump Punch while not letting Luigi jump as high.
- Burial Header: Luigi jumps up and slams down burring anything below him.
- Luigi Cyclone: Luigi spins around and hits his opponents. He can also fly for a couple seconds while doing this in the air.
- Mach Cyclone: Luigi spins around and blows his opponents away. He can also fly higher than the Luigi Cyclone.
- Clothesline Cyclone: Luigi spins slowly but does a way more powerful attack than the Luigi Cyclone.
- Negative Zone: Luigi dances around and unleashes the Negative zone which causes multiple side affects to those inside of it.
- Poltergust 5000: Luigi sucks up his opponents for a few seconds with his Poltergust 5000 and then launches them out.
- Poltergust G-00: Luigi sucks up his opponents for a few seconds with his Poltergust G-00 and then launches them out.
Other
Standard Tactics: Smash characters are general wild cards whose moveset tailor to how a person plays. Thus making it hard to tell what their standard tactics are.
Weaknesses: Holding their shield too long will cause it to break leaving them in a dazed state, is a bit of a coward, has bad traction.
Note: The attack that Tabuu used to one-shot the entire Smash cast is far above his regular attacks and this is further proven in-game as when he uses this same attack it one-shots whoever is on-screen thus arguing that they should not scale to Tabuu because he one-shotted them is not accurate as it's with a very specific attack.
