“ | Son Goku, you will fight me now. All of our circuits were built in order to defeat you. You cannot escape from this place alive. | „ |
“ | Number 13... That's your unlucky number. And I ain't talkin' about no silly superstition, city-boy. I'm talkin' about yours truly; Big 13! | „ |
Background
Android 13 is Dr. Gero's thirteenth Android creation. He is designed to continue Gero's vendetta against Goku, who overthrew the Red Ribbon Army as a child.
Cell notes that Android 13 may be a prototype to him, due to his ability to absorb other Androids.
While the main timeline version of him was destroyed by Gero, the parallel world Android 13 makes his debut as the main antagonist in Dragon Ball Z: Super Android 13!.

Codex Statistics
Key: Android 13 | Super Android 13
Grade: B | B
Tier: 7-A | At least 7-A
Cardinality: Finite
Dimensionality: 3-D
Power Source: Ki (All beings in Dragon Ball[1][2][3] have ki, the very life force energy of all characters[4], ki allows a fighter to extend beyond their bodies limits, allowing them to even[5] block attacks that would otherwise[6] kill them from[7] raising their guard[8], higher level users can lower their own durability to allow people far below them to fatally wound them[9])
Attack Potency: Metropolis level (With a single blast, sent Son Goku flying far back. Superior to Android 14 and Android 15 both of whom could beat down Son Goku. This Goku is after the events of the Cooler movies, putting him far above Nappa who casually destroyed a city and stood within the blast without having any damage, and Raditz who can cause explosions dwarfing the mountains, which results in these levels of energy) | At least Metropolis level (Casually stomped all of the Z-fighters including Son Goku, Vegeta, Future Trunks, Piccolo, Son Gohan, and Krillin)
Durability: Metropolis level | At least Metropolis level
Striking Strength: Metropolis Class | At least Metropolis Class
Lifting Strength: Class 25 (Superior to Android Saga Super Saiyan Vegeta, who trained in 300 times gravity, where Vegeta is naturally 56 kg, making him 16,800 kg or 16.8 tons) | Class 25
Travel Speed: Massively Hypersonic+ (Superior to Super Saiyan Goku on Namek, who previously in his base form traveled from Frieza's ship over to Vegeta in this timeframe) | At least Massively Hypersonic+
Attack Speed: Massively Hypersonic+ | At least Massively Hypersonic+
Reaction Speed: Massively Hypersonic+ (Far beyond 22nd Budokai Son Goku, who could dodge a mouth blast from Tambourine, which he used to tag the flying nimbus where even post King Kai training Goku used the flying nimbus to make it to the saiyans implying it is at least comparable to his flight speed by then, with Goku being capable of traveling over a million of kilometers in two days which results in these speeds) | At least Massively Hypersonic+
Stamina: Limitless (As an android created by Gero, he has access to an infinite energy supply)
Range: Standard Melee, Interstellar with Ki Attacks (Ki attacks can reach out of the planet and to other planets. All ki attacks should be comparable to Goku's kamehameha, which reached all the way to the sun)
Intelligence: Gifted Intelligence (An android created by Dr. Gero which means it's most likely outfitted with various different battle strategies and the ability to analyze their opponents and find out their weaknesses)
Knowledge: Expert level
Powers and Techniques
Equipment
Nothing notable.
Notable Techniques
- Flight: The ability to fly without the use of ki.
- Energy Attack: The most basic form of energy wave used by androids.
- Handy Cannon: Android 13 fires a one-handed barrage of red energy blasts. Named Rapid Blasts in the Dragon Ball Z Collectible Card Game and Handy Canon in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2s Extra Pack 1.
- 3D Scan Mode: A mode that allows for advanced scanning of enemies. Like 14 and 15, Android 13's 3D Scan Mode is also apparently capable of communicating with Dr. Gero's Supercomputer which supplies them with information relating to Goku and his allies.
- Data Input: A supportive technique that allows Android 13 to unload an opponents data into his databanks allowing him to dodge their melee attacks in a manner similar to Instinctive Reaction.
- Full Power Energy Wave: Used against Gohan after Gohan attacked him with a Masenko.
- S.S. Deadly Bomber: Android 13's signature technique, where he generates a red ball of spiraling energy that homes in on its target, the attack is powerful enough to destroy half of Earth. This attack was named in the Japanese dub of the film Super Android 13! and is also named in Budokai Tenkaichi 2. In his Super form, he is capable of unleashing a more ultimately powerful version of this attack entitled Full Power S.S. Deadly Bomber.
- S.S. Deadly Hammer: A rush attack used against Goku and Vegeta. Android 13 grabs and pummels the opponent with punches and kicks, and finishes the opponent off with a large, red energy sphere.
- Deadly Assault: A rush attack used against Goku in his base form. Android 13 attacks with several punches and finishes with a red energy sphere.
- Silent Assassin 13: A rush attack Android 13 used against Goku in his base form.
- Abyss Impact: A counterattack used against Super Saiyan Vegeta. Super 13 grabs his opponent and slams them to the ground and shortly afterward blasts them with a red energy sphere.
- Grappling Ki Blast: Android 13 grabs his opponent, punches them, and then fires a red energy blast, blasting the opponent away. Used against Future Trunks when the latter buys time for Goku to create a Spirit Bomb.
Other
Standard Tactics: Android 13 will shoot ki attacks along with use hand to hand combat, analyzing the data of his enemy during battle. As Super Android 13, he will go for a more beatdown approach, repeatedly grappling the enemy and hitting them with close ranged ki attacks.
Weaknesses
- Standard Ki Weaknesses: Due to the nature of ki draining stamina and energy, Dragon Ball characters ki usage requires them to usually use their higher levels of energy in short bursts, using a large amount of ki overtime can greatly weaken them to the point that characters far lower then them can actually harm them with attacks. Taking large amounts of damage can greatly deplete a ki users attacks, making it where attacks that would otherwise kill massively weakened characters, only pushes them back. Ki users that are able to ki sense cannot do it when their guard is dropped, such as when Vegeta was able to sneak attack Son Goku during the end of their fight in the Buu Saga. Despite some ki users being able to reach blasts that can destroy planets through charged attacks or techniques, they have not shown to be able to tank such blasts themself, with attacks that have destroyed several planets in the series always killing the character. Even characters such as Majin Buu's body cannot withstand the energy of a planet exploding.
