Background

Innocent Buu, usually just called Buu, is the first form of Majin Buu seen in the Dragon Ball series. He is the result of Kid Buu absorbing Grand Supreme Kai.

He is the main antagonist for the Majin Buu Saga.

Background The fat version of Majin Buu is the result of Ultra Buu's absorption of Grand Supreme Kai, the supreme ruler of all Kais. The merging of the juvenile and immature Kid Buu with the benevolent and innocent Grand Supreme Kai resulted in a childlike carefree being who, despite his behavior, possesses power that far surpasses that of a Super Saiyan 2 and on par with a Super Saiyan 3. Of note, absorbing Grand Supreme Kai granted Majin Buu the ability to speak fluently, although he usually refers to himself in the third person. Buu became calmer and easier to control after absorbing the Grand Supreme Kai. However, Buu would become disobedient at times, causing his master Bibidi to seal him inside a magic ball to control him and transport him from planet to planet. Bibidi brought the ball to Earth, which was intended to be his next target. The only remaining Supreme Kai, Shin, waited for this chance, and, before Buu's seal was released, he was able to kill Bibidi. The ball, in which Majin Buu is contained, remained sealed, without being destroyed. Shin and Kibito thought it best to not unnecessarily disturb it and moreover, the only one who could release the seal was the now-deceased Bibidi. Though seemingly gone, the stories of Buu's rampage continued to spread throughout the universe, striking fear into even the likes of King Cold, who told his son Frieza never to cross Buu. Dragon Ball Z Majin Buu (in his fat form) is first introduced during the Babidi Saga. He was released from his Sealed Ball by Bibidi's son, Babidi, thanks to the energy collected from Majin Vegeta and Goku as they were fighting. Despite Babidi's involvement in freeing him, Buu for the most part ignored him, although he quickly accepted him as his master when Babidi reminds him that he can seal Buu back into the Sealed Ball. In addition, he gets angered at Dabura's claims of him being a "bumbling idiot" and proceeds to humiliate him in battle. He is then ordered by Babidi to execute Gohan and Shin. Thinking quickly, Gohan grabs the Supreme Kai's hand and flies away, hoping he can outrun Buu until they can reach a safe spot. However, Buu swiftly appears right in front of Gohan and mocks him. The Majin swats the half-Saiyan out of the air and into the rocks. Shin looks in shock as Buu begins to menacingly approach him. Shin uses a Kiai to defend himself, but the attack barely pushes Buu back. In response, Buu pummels the Supreme Kai as an injured Gohan watch. Babidi proceeds to mock Shin for the position he is in and decides to kill the Supreme Kai himself. Just before Babidi can deal the final blow, Gohan swiftly kicks Majin Buu in face, much to the wizard's surprise. Unimpressed, Buu gets back on his feet and proceeds to heal the dent in his face. The cowardly wizard quickly retreats and is frustrated at the delay of the Supreme Kai's death. Gohan looks onto Buu in fear, noticing the attack did not leave any lasting damage. Buu becomes annoyed with Gohan and exclaims that he will die now. Gohan is shocked, but quickly gets angry, preparing to punch the pink monster. Buu quickly fires a large sphere of energy that blasts Gohan into the sky, before eventually flying off too far to be visible to a naked eye. With the last of his strength, the weakened Shin uses his psychic powers to destroy the attack and a beaten Gohan falls down into a nearby forest, unconscious and near death. His sudden decrease in energy causes several characters, like Goku and Vegeta, to mistakenly believe that Gohan was killed by Innocent Buu. Thinking Gohan is dead, Babidi tells Buu to finally finish off the Supreme Kai. A hungry Buu prepares to turn the Supreme Kai into food, but from the rubble, an injured Dabura returns and throws his spear through Buu's back. Babidi gasps in surprise, truly believing Dabura to be dead after Buu struck him. He then yells at Dabura for daring to attack his father's creation. Dabura informs Babidi that Majin Buu's unpredictable nature is it not to be taken lightly and he will eventually betray the wizard and become a true threat. Dabura says they should stop the creature now while they still have a chance, but Babidi ignores the demon's warnings and scolds him for daring to attack Buu to begin with. However, Buu grabs the spear with no concern and simply pulls it out of his stomach like it was nothing. Dabura is horrified by Buu's near immortality, while the creature heals the hole in his stomach. Majin Buu turns to Dabura with an unfriendly smile, happily exclaiming that Dabura shall be eaten. Dabura futilely attacks Majin Buu, but monster uses his Transfiguration Beam to turn the demon king into a cookie and devours him whole. Astonished by the creature's power, Babidi praises Buu and orders him to eat the Supreme Kai as well. Before Buu can eat Shin, he is distracted when Vegeta arrives and destroys Babidi's Spaceship. Babidi begins to scream at the loss of his spaceship and scolds Vegeta for his actions. Vegeta turns to Buu and begins to question the Majin, calling him a repugnant blob and ordering him to answer if he was the one who killed Gohan. Not understanding what "repugnant" means, Buu asks his master what the meaning of the word is. Hearing Babidi's explanation, Buu turns his view to Vegeta and begins to anger, letting out bursts of steam from the holes in his head. Screaming that he will kill Vegeta, Babidi congratulates Buu's violent temper and orders him to teach Vegeta a lesson for betraying him. As Buu's ki increases even higher, Vegeta powers up as well. Believing that he will die, Vegeta claims that if he has to go to Hell for fighting this battle, he will be bringing Buu and Babidi with him. The fallen Saiyan puts up a good fight, managing to cause a noticeable amount of damage to Buu, which leads Buu to realize that he would have to be serious against Vegeta, so he uses Angry Explosion which severely damages Vegeta. Buu tells Vegeta that it's over for him and rips out a chunk of his stomach and stretches it out like gum. While Vegeta is confused by this, Buu shoots an explosive blast from his mouth that the prince just barely dodges, and then throws the piece of his stomach out so that it wraps around Vegeta, immobilizing him. The helpless Vegeta is then tortured by the fat creature. Luckily, Vegeta is saved through the intervention of Trunks and Goten. Despite Trunks' attempts to convince his father that by fighting together, they would win, Vegeta knocks both Trunks and Goten out. After sharing one last conversation with Piccolo, Vegeta decides to sacrifice himself in order to defeat Majin Buu for good. He blows himself up in a last-ditch effort to kill the Majin, and the explosion leaves Buu reduced to tiny pieces. Later, Piccolo returns to the aftermath of the explosion, and prepares to finish off an injured Babidi, only to discover Buu's regeneration is virtually limitless and he returns to life from the broken pieces. Piccolo quickly escapes before Buu can finish healing. Babidi, near death from Piccolo's earlier attempt to kill him orders Buu to heal his body. Buu then reluctantly heals Babidi, after the wizard again threatens him with sealing him back into the Sealed Ball. Together, he and Babidi go on a rampage throughout Earth searching for Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo for their individual parts in almost ruining Babidi's plan and telepathically threatening the people to give up them up. While Buu is content causing mass destruction, he is quietly annoyed with Babidi's constant complaining and insults. Their rampage is later interrupted by Goku, who intends to halt Majin Buu from destroying West City, as Trunks needs to find the Dragon Radar there. Babidi shows his surprise, believing Vegeta had killed Goku in their battle and thanks him for his part in reviving Majin Buu. Goku compliments Buu on his unmatched power, admitting that both he and Vegeta were wrong to underestimate him. Babidi immediately changes the subject, demanding to know the whereabouts of Piccolo, Trunks and Goten. Goku naturally refuses but offers them both a firm warning: The three in question will show themselves, but only after completing their training to defeat Buu, so they both should wait until then. Buu and Babidi both laugh loudly at the idea. The wizard refuses to listen and once again demands their presence, or else they'll kill more people. Anticipating this, Goku prepares to stall Buu. Babidi orders his minion to kill him like Vegeta. Buu, however, doesn't listen and laughs to himself. Babidi yells at him and Buu frustratingly complies. Goku takes notice of Babidi's cruel treatment toward his servant and asks Buu why he still obeys the weak wizard and listen to his constant, demeaning insults. Buu himself pauses and begins to ponder on Goku's point. Intimidated, Babidi threatens Buu with sealing him away back in his cocoon prison, but Buu retorts and says Babidi will not do that, because Goku could easily kill him without Buu in the way. Babidi feels threatened by Buu's growing intelligence, however, Buu wishes to kill Goku anyway and obeys Babidi's demand, but only for the enjoyment of killing good guys. Goku takes his time by showing Majin Buu the Super Saiyan transformations. First, Super Saiyan 1, Super Saiyan 2, and then decides to finally reveal the latest form: Super Saiyan 3 transformation. As Goku manages to overpower Buu when they start their fight, Majin Buu still treats the battle as playing, healing every wound Goku gives him. Goku and Buu both manage to land decent attacks on each other, as Buu uses attacks he has learned from other Z Fighters, including Vegeta. Buu even learns the Kamehameha technique after watching Goku use it only once. As Buu and Goku continue their enormous struggle, Goku fires an attack towards Buu, but Buu manages to deflect it back to the nearby city, completely destroying it. Throughout the fight, whenever Goku manages to get the upper hand on Buu, either by throwing him into the city or evading one of his attacks, Babidi gives Buu a harsh scolding, calling him insulting names. Buu eventually orders Babidi to be quiet, and Goku realizes that despite obeying Babidi's orders, Buu completely hates his master. Goku halts their fight after Trunks successfully finds the Dragon Radar. When Buu asks Goku to fight again, Goku informs Buu that in two days there will be another strong fighter to face Buu and give him a challenge. Majin Buu remembers this throughout his transformations and awaits this fight. Before he leaves, Goku tells Majin Buu to stop taking orders from Babidi, considering their enormous difference in strength and power. Right after Goku leaves, Babidi insults Buu for not finishing him off, calling him names, which pushes Buu over the edge. Majin Buu turns on Babidi, strangling him to ensure he can't say the incantation for the Sealing Spell, before murdering him by decapitating him with a punch. After this, he cheers in joy and dances to celebrate his freedom. Not knowing what to do now that Babidi is dead, Buu proceeds to continue his murderous rampage, this time out of fun, where he destroys city after city. During his rampage, Buu meets a girl he is interested in, but after she is unwilling to accept him, he turns her into candy and eats her. Later, Buu meets a blind boy named Tommy. Upset that Tommy does not run away scared, Buu heals the boy. However, the boy still treats Buu with kindness. In return, Buu brings a carton of milk (in fact, an old man he turned into a carton of milk) for Tommy. A day later, he is challenged by Gotenks and quickly defeats him. He then builds a house made out of humans and animals he turned into clay, where he meets Mr. Satan who attempts numerous times to kill Buu through poison, explosives and even physical assault, all of which fail so miserably that Buu does not even realize that they are assassination attempts. Mr. Satan eventually gives up and begins performing maid services for Buu such as cooking for him and giving him baths. During this time, Gotenks returns as a Super Saiyan to challenge Buu to a rematch, however, the arrogant fusion wasted too much time prior to his arrival, and quickly defuses into Goten and Trunks, who hastily retreat. While he is living with Mr. Satan, Buu finds a hurt dog by the side of the road and brings it to Mr. Satan, perplexed at why it was not running away from him. Mr. Satan tells him that the dog is hurt, so in response, Buu heals him with his magic. The dog, who he names Bee, becomes the first creature to show affection to Buu and the first creature Buu shows genuine love for, such as licking him. This causes Mr. Satan to stop trying to kill Buu and instead try to find out why he murders people. Buu tells him that he just does it because Bibidi and Babidi told him to destroy. Mr. Satan tells him that killing people is actually wrong, which surprisingly shocks Buu, who then promises never to do any harm again. After taming Buu, it seemed that the world is saved by Mr. Satan. All is well until the two gunmen Van Zant and Smitty arrive with the goal of taking on Buu and shoot Bee as he is playing with Buu. This causes Buu to become more enraged than he has ever been, but this anger is quelled by Mr. Satan's disposing of the two gunmen and taking Bee back to Buu to be healed. The situation seems fixed as Buu rebuilds his house in the shape of Bee and Mr. Satan resumes his maid tasks. Buu weakly tells him to run far away with the puppy, or they'll die. Mr. Satan doesn't understand, and Buu yells at him to hurry. Mr. Satan runs off with the Bee, as an angry Buu releases steam that forms into a giant cloud overhead. Finally, Buu loses control of his anger, and splits into Good Buu and Evil Buu.

Good Buu, also known mainly as Majin Buu, is the result of the Innocent Buu using fission to split into good and evil halves. He would go on to become a member of the Z Fighters and live with Mr. Satan. After the battle against the pure Majin Buu, Buu is referred to as Buu instead of Majin Buu and to the world he becomes Mr. Buu.

Good Buu possesses the Grand Supreme Kai as part of his being and eventually temporarily awakened this part of himself.

Majin Buu Saga After taming the Innocent Buu, it seemed that the world is saved by Mr. Satan. All is well until the two gunmen Van Zant and Smitty arrive with the goal of taking on Buu and shoot Bee as he is playing with Buu. This causes Buu to become more enraged than he has ever been, but this anger is quelled by Mr. Satan's disposing of the two gunmen and taking Bee back to Buu to be healed. The situation seems fixed as Buu rebuilds his house in the shape of Bee and Mr. Satan resumes his maid tasks. Buu now seems fully changed, playing with Bee and even asking Mr. Satan to sit and eat with him. Mr. Satan even destroys the fake pictures of Buu defeated that he had taken. This lasts until the gunman who shot Bee returns and shoots Mr. Satan in the chest. Buu is able to heal him but the pain of losing his best friend is so great that he struggles to control his anger. Finally, Buu loses control of his anger, and splits into Good Buu and Evil Buu. The evil leaves Buu in the form of a giant cloud taking most of his power with it, and Good Buu watches as the cloud takes form and becomes Evil Buu. A battle soon ensues between the two Buus, the Evil Buu dominates over the Good Buu. Good Buu is ultimately turned into chocolate, after Evil Buu reflects his Transfiguration Beam, and devoured causing them to re-merge into one being, Super Buu. Though Super Buu is almost pure evil, Good Buu is still able to affect his actions slightly, preventing him from attacking Mr. Satan, Bee, and Videl on multiple occasions. He is later removed from Super Buu by Vegeta, and once the power of the Kais was removed from him, Super Buu reverted to the insane creature "created" by Bibidi, Kid Buu (the original Majin Buu). Although Good Buu is no longer connected with Kid Buu, his presence alone prevents the other Buu from attacking Mr. Satan and Bee on the Sacred World of the Kai until he is spat out. Good Buu is extremely pleased to see Bee and Mr. Satan are still alive, and then steps in the fight to defend Mr. Satan, and even though Kid Buu is far more powerful, he is able to land a few good hits on him due to his increased strength. He holds Kid Buu off while Goku and Vegeta ready the Super Spirit Bomb to defeat Kid Buu. Good Buu and Kid Buu battle ferociously, neither one of them backing down, with both Buus performing many techniques, such as the Multi-Form, Chocolate Beam, and more, but Kid Buu is clearly stronger, toying with Good Buu during the fight. After a hard battle, Good Buu is defeated by Kid Buu and presumed dead, so Vegeta battles Kid Buu while Goku readies the Spirit Bomb. The Spirit Bomb is finally formed after much delay, but Goku is unable to launch it due to Kid Buu holding Vegeta hostage. Kid Buu prepares a final Planet Burst attack to kill Goku, when suddenly Good Buu appears again, not quite beaten yet. He and Mr. Satan rush into the battle, as Good Buu tackles Kid Buu, causing him to throw the attack without aim and misses, while Mr. Satan rescues Vegeta after Good Buu orders him to do so and gets him to safety. Goku throws the Spirit Bomb and after some struggle, the monster is finally defeated and the universe is saved. After the battle, Bee directs the heroes to the unconscious Buu and Mr. Satan begs Dende to heal him, despite protests from Vegeta. Good Buu returned to Earth with the Z-fighters and his presence emitted fear from the others until Goku vouched for him. Mr. Satan also had Buu and Bee come to live with him and his daughter. Sometime later, Goku uses the Dragon Balls and wishes for no earthling to remember the havoc wreaked on the world by Majin Buu. In addition, in order to ensure that Buu not unleash a similar horror to Kid Buu again, Mr. Satan also forbade Good Buu from either getting angry ever again or at the very least not unleash his anger. Soon after, Good Buu is given the name Mr. Buu, and joins in the celebration of his evil counterpart's defeat at Capsule Corporation. God of Destruction Beerus Saga Six months after Kid Buu's defeat and being erased from the Earthlings' minds, Buu interrupts Mr. Satan's press conference at the Satan House furiously stating he was hungry. Without having a clue who Buu is, Mr. Satan took advantage of this and told the world that Majin Buu is a space soldier that went to Earth to be trained by him. After storming out, Mr. Satan leaves his conference to calm Buu down and give him a massage. Buu attends Bulma's birthday party on a cruise ship. Buu starts to eat all the food before the party starts and Bulma gets angry over this. Mr. Satan tells Buu that Bulma has a massive feast specifically for him and that he needs to wait. Buu continues to eat throughout the party. When Beerus is on Earth, he is interested to try pudding which Buu had enough of. Beerus asked for at least one to taste it but Buu refused to give him one, angering Beerus. Mr. Satan tries to tell Buu to give him one but Beerus and Buu blasted him away for interrupting. Buu and Beerus faced off: Buu gave hits to Beerus but they simply didn't have any effect on him. Buu was tossed around by Beerus' speed and was blasted into the ocean. Buu tries several times afterward to hit Beerus but continues to get taken out. Buu later watches the battle between Super Saiyan God Goku and Beerus. Golden Frieza Saga After Frieza's revival, he states King Cold forbade Frieza from challenging two warriors, Lord Beerus and Majin Buu. Upon hearing from Sorbet that Goku beat Majin Buu, he decided to train to obtain his Golden Form. When Mr. Satan and Bee left the house to attend an emergency press conference, he passes by and says goodbye to Majin Buu, who, at the time, was reading a Nekomajin adaptation of the tale of Uroshima Taro. When Frieza arrives on Earth, Buu is sleeping when he is needed. While Goku and his friends were away, Buu and Mr. Satan were taking a nap in their mansion when they were unaware of the Earth exploding due to Frieza blowing it up. Mr. Satan, and presumably Buu, were killed until Whis undid the event with his Temporal Do-Over technique so that Goku can kill Frieza once more. Buu later attends the feast thrown by Bulma with her family and friends. Universe 6 Saga Buu is chosen by Goku to take part in the tournament between Beerus' team and Champa's team. The day of the tournament, Majin Buu is taken to the Nameless Planet along with his friends in Whis' box. After two hours and forty-five minutes, they arrive on the planet. As soon as they get there, the written test to participate in the tournament, requested by Vegeta, begins. In the manga, Majin Buu fails his test, even spelling his name wrong, because he has not done anything like that before. In the anime, he fell asleep during the exam, automatically failing it by default. Since he failed, he is not able to participate, so he sits with his friends and watches the first battle between Goku and Botamo. Buu finally woke up after the tournament was over and after Zeno showed and left and apologized to Mr. Satan for not being able to grant his wish. He then stated that when he fell asleep, he believed that he found incredible talent in Monaka. Buu later went with everyone else in the Cube and got to see Super Shenron before Beerus made his wish to make Champa's Earth just as hospitable as his to make him owe him one. Copy-Vegeta Saga Afterwards, Buu joins in on another party, this time, he is ensured by Bulma that not even he can finish all of the food by himself. Universal Survival Saga Good Buu participates in Zeno's Tournament of Power as part of Team Universe 7. Universe 7 is matched up against Universe 9 in a standard 3v3 tournament-style match in the first round, and Goku asks Buu to fight with him and Gohan. Buu, along with Mr. Satan, travel to Zeno's Palace with Supreme Kai, Kibito, Old Kai, Beerus, Whis, Goku, and Gohan, and the entire team meet with Universe 9's team. They are transported by the Grand Minister to a tournament ring in an unspecified location, and Buu is matched up first to fight Basil (though he fell asleep during the explanations and had to be woken up by a chocolate bar). When the match began, Basil immediately assaulted Buu with a variety of attacks. Buu lays on the ground but then proceeds to grin and laugh, getting back up unharmed. Saying he wants to play more, he takes several more attacks and gets a hole blown through him. Assuming Basil has won, Roh begins to gloat to the annoyance of Sidra when Buu jumps back up and regenerates himself. After doing so, Buu learns Hercule was almost killed during Basil's last attack. Buu, now furious, stops playing and begins to fight seriously, dominating Basil, battering him around and throwing him clean out of the ring. The Zenos however, aren't happy with the fight ending so early and want it to continue until they're satisfied. Knowing Basil is outclassed, Roh throws him a drug which causes Basil to power up and appears to defeat Buu, bombarding him with dozens of Ki blasts. Buu immediately pops out of the rubble of the arena completely unharmed and claims to be stronger than Basil before unleashing a full power Kamehameha, winning the fight and nearly killing Basil. Having been declared the winner, Buu hurries over to Hercule and heals him. Proud of Buu, Hercule hugs him and calls him the best. Buu, having fulfilled his end of the deal, is now given his reward for fighting: tons of food. Later, when heading to The Lookout to ask for Android 17's location, Goku finds Buu training, having even slimmed down. They decide to have a sparring match, which Buu easily wins. However, unfortunately for Goku and the others, Buu falls into a deep sleep and will not wake up for months. Desperate, Goku has no choice but to take drastic measures and ask Fortuneteller Baba to allow Frieza back into the world of the living for one day so he can compete in the tournament. Super Hero Good Buu makes an appearance sleeping and thus not a potential candidate for helping with fighting off the Red Ribbon Army resurgence. Peaceful World Saga Ten years after Kid Buu's defeat, Mr. Buu enters the 28th World Tournament at the end of the Dragon Ball Z series, and during the ten years, he lost to Mr. Satan on purpose, and was promised to have his chance at being champion eventually. During this time, he apparently also got his own fanbase, as Goku noted that Buu seemed to acquire a lot of adoring fangirls when going to the ring for selection. He also convinces Buu to use his magic to rig the selection so that Buu can fight Goten, and that Goku fights Uub. Goku also tells Vegeta and Buu in private that Uub is the pure good human reincarnation of Kid Buu, much to Buu's surprise. The tournament is later cancelled due to Goku and Uub's absence.

Evil Buu was a tall, thin, gray, emaciated creature which appeared after Majin Buu dispelled the evil from his body.

Majin Buu Saga Once he emerges from the puff of smoke in the air after Buu expelled his inner evil, Evil Buu immediately proceeds to mercilessly eliminate Van Zant in the mountains. He then battles against Good Buu, with the evil incarnation quickly gaining the upper hand. Good Buu is unable to land a hit and is pummeled thoroughly. After dominating the battle, he consumes Good Buu after reflecting an attack meant to turn him into chocolate. Evil Buu then eats the chocolate Good Buu, causing them to re-fuse. Evil Buu laughs as pink smoke is expelled from his body, surrounding him and obscuring the transformation. As a result of this re-fusion, Buu’s evil becomes dominant and is now on the outside instead of the inside, resulting in the creation of Super Buu.

Super Buu, is the result of Evil Buu eating Good Buu in a chocolate form. This new Majin Buu has tremendously more power and increased mental capacity than the previous incarnation. In this form, Buu has very little patience and extremely dangerous fits of anger, even possessing the power to rip through dimensional walls if angered enough.

He is the main antagonist for the Fusion Saga.

Background After Mr. Satan and Bee are shot by the two crazed gunmen Van Zant and Smitty, Innocent Buu is torn between the promise he made to no longer kill anyone and the anger he holds. He manages to heal both Satan and Bee, but ultimately loses control of his anger, and expels the evil within himself into the form of Evil Buu, who proceeds to kill Van Zant. After being pummeled badly by Evil Buu, the good but weaker form, in an act of desperation, attempts to turn the Evil Buu into an edible form by using his Transfiguration Beam. However, Evil Buu reverses the attack by blowing the beam away, emerging as the victor before devouring the good Majin Buu and transforming into Super Buu. Super Buu then brutally kills Smitty by going into his mouth and causing him to expand until he violently explodes, while Mr. Satan and Bee are forced to watch in horror. Super Buu then attempts to kill Satan and Bee, but Good Buu's influence prevents him from doing so. Thus, he merely looks at Satan and says his name before flying away. Majin Buu Saga Now with the ability to sense energy, he makes his way to Kami's Lookout, where the Dragon Team and many of their friends and family are taking refuge. He demands to see the strong warrior that Goku told his previous counterpart about. Piccolo, in a desperate attempt to distract him, tells him that he can amuse himself by terrorizing and killing the people of Earth (knowing they can be revived with the Dragon Balls). However, Super Buu instead preforms the Human Extinction Attack, eliminating the entire population of Earth except Mr. Satan, Bee, Tien Shinhan, Chiaotzu, Korin, Yajirobe, and those already present at the Lookout (Piccolo, Bulma, Chi-Chi, Videl, Yamcha, Krillin, Android 18, Marron, Master Roshi, Ox-King, Trunks, Goten, Dende, Mr. Popo, Oolong, and Puar). Piccolo then agrees to take him to Trunks and Goten, but tells him to wait an hour so they can prepare. It is not until he finds out Videl is Mr. Satan's daughter that he accepts, saying her scent is similar to Satan's. While Buu is waiting, Chi-Chi slaps him and scolds him for killing Gohan, and he responds by turning her into an egg and crushing her. Later, he grows tired of waiting and smashes the hourglass, demanding that the wait be over. Piccolo then leads him to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to fight Gotenks, knowing that if Gotenks lost, he could destroy the entrance and trap Buu (and himself along with Gotenks) inside for eternity. Piccolo deliberately takes the longest way possible into the chamber in order to stall him and give Goten and Trunks more time to prepare (which Buu immediately catches on to and soon warns Piccolo that he will kill him for doing so if he tries it again). When they enter, it proves wrong the myth that only two can enter at a time. Goten and Trunks fuse into Gotenks and fight Super Buu. Soon, Gotenks turns Super Saiyan, and when his Galactic Donut attack proves ineffective, he uses his Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack to create a miniature ghost version of himself. Not knowing of the attack's true purpose, Buu assaults the ghost, which explodes on contact. He is only disrupted by this to a small extent (and while Gotenks makes 10 more, he becomes bored and comically reads a magazine about cars and drinks a soda), but figures a way to best this trick by simply moving out of the way, causing 2 of Gotenks' 10 newly created ghosts to simply destroy each other, while for comedy value, two more ghosts give each other a handshake and explode. When the first two ghosts to actually attack are gone, Gotenks devises a plan to lure Buu into taking the blast by tricking him into thinking that there is food on the ground, and the moment he approaches and looks, all but one of the ghosts cling to him at once, reducing him to a residue of himself, into which the final ghost traipses into by entering his mouth. Though blown to molecules, he survives and regenerates. When Gotenks pretends he cannot do another attack (in order to make the final display of his Super Saiyan 3 transformation "all the more dramatic"), Piccolo destroys the entrance to the chamber, trapping them all inside forever. Disheartened that he will forever be without any treats for eternity, Buu furiously screams to be let out at the top of his lungs. Though he did not know it was possible, his voice opens a portal leading out of the chamber. Super Buu escapes the Time Chamber through this portal, only for it to close before Gotenks and Piccolo can do the same. Once outside, he turns everyone on Kami's Lookout to chocolate (except Dende, who is pushed off by Mr. Popo so that the Dragon Balls will not deactivate) and eats them; thus Mr. Satan, Tien, Chiaotzu, Korin, Yajirobe, and Dende are the only ones left on Earth (though Gohan, Piccolo, Goten, and Trunks are still alive and in different dimensions). When Gotenks returns with Piccolo, he is in his Super Saiyan 3 form. Super Buu and Gotenks have a rematch, with Buu using his Mystic Ball Attack in the process to destroy the Lookout. Gotenks appears to be the superior fighter and performs moves such as trapping Buu into a ball made of Galactic Donuts. Just before he can finish Buu off, Gotenks reverts to his regular form from the high energy consumption of the form, followed by his fusion ending (the thirty-minute period for which the fusion can be maintained is cut down to under five minutes thanks to the strain of the Super Saiyan 3 transformation). As Trunks and Goten desperately search for a way out of the situation, Buu pretends to fall asleep. Gohan soon arrives, powered up by Old Kai. Goten informs Gohan that Super Buu has killed almost everyone on the planet, including their mother Chi-Chi. Angry, Gohan walks up to Buu, preparing to fight. Super Buu tells Gohan he was the one whose power he had sensed and had wanted to fight all this time. Gohan greatly overpowers him in their battle, with Buu not being able to land a hit. He eventually blows himself up in an attempt to kill Gohan, though this is later shown to be a method of passing the time in order for Goten and Trunks to fuse again (they must wait an hour before fusing again), when he reforms, he requests to fight Gotenks again, in a plot to absorb them. When Goten and Trunks fall for the trick and fuse together, Super Buu absorbs both Gotenks and Piccolo, resulting in a much more powerful, sapient version of himself. This is also the first time the narrator refers to him as Super Buu. Super Buu fights Gohan again and easily gains the upper hand, using his absorbee's attacks, such as the Galactic Donut and Special Beam Cannon. During the fight, Super Buu attempts to anger and play with Gohan, stating that Goten never looked up to Gohan as an older brother or hero and that Piccolo is extremely disappointed in Gohan. Super Buu sees Dende healing Gohan, and fires Vanishing Beams to attack him, but Buu's blast is destroyed by a Tri-Beam fired by Tien, who arrives just in time. Right after this, Super Buu attempts a Destroy Everything!, but Goku, who receives Old Kai's life, arrives just in time and cuts Super Buu in half with a Destructo Disc. Goku throws a Potara earring to Gohan so they can fuse together to fight Buu, though Gohan fails to catch it. Super Buu regenerates and kicks Tien directly on the head, knocking him unconscious. He then attacks Goku head on, who transforms into a Super Saiyan 3, and overpowers Goku while Gohan is attempting to find the dropped earring Goku threw towards him. However, Gotenks' fusion wears off inside Buu and Buu loses the majority of his power, now having Piccolo's cape as his outfit. To rectify this, Buu uses his head tentacle that Goku had severed earlier with the Destructo Disk to absorb Gohan, increasing his power dramatically and regaining the power lost when the fusion wore off. Upon Gohan’s absorption, Buu offers Goku a chance to fuse with whomever he wishes but only gives him five seconds to do so. With Tien out cold, and Dende being needed unfused to utilize the Dragon Balls, Goku's only other choice appears to be Mr. Satan until he senses Vegeta, who has returned from Other World for a short while to fight Buu and finds him on Earth. While Goku attempts to persuade the arrogant Vegeta to fuse, Super Buu attacks the two Saiyans, overpowering them greatly. After a while, Vegeta eventually agrees to the fusion, and Vegito emerges. Vegito proves to be the most powerful fighter, as he proceeds to pound Buu with hardly any effort at all. Buu's liquid form is used only in the anime, turning him into candy, Super Ghost Buu Attack, and a giant energy orb are completely unsuccessful, and he attempts to use his voice to tear through the fabric of the dimensions, but is foiled by Vegito. Buu eventually absorbs Vegito, though this is what Vegito was counting on. Happy, Super Buu removes Gohan's familiar orange gi and dark blue undershirt by himself after his supposed absorption of Vegito. However, Vegito is not made part of Buu due to Vegito's Saiyan Barrier and inadvertently separates back into Goku and Vegeta. Inside Buu, Goku and Vegeta cause him indigestion. While looking for their family and friend in Super Buu's body, Goku encounters Ultimate Gohan while Vegeta encounters Gotenks (who transforms into a Super Saiyan 3) and Piccolo. They begin fighting and both realize that these are not their friends and family. While watching the fight in his Crystal Ball, Old Kai tells Kibito Kai that they are actually Super Buu's thoughts. Every time Goku or Vegeta beat them, they come back. They are getting beat until Super Buu's hunger gets the better of him, Super Buu then flies towards a vacant cake shop and looks at the cakes. This causes the illusions of Gohan, Gotenks, and Piccolo inside Buu to transform into cakes. When Super Buu finishes his meal, he prepares to destroy Earth with a sphere attack, but by then Vegeta and Goku manage to find the pods containing Goten, Trunks, Piccolo, and Gohan. They tear them off, reverting Super Buu back into his base form and foiling his plan to destroy Earth. They spot the fat Buu's pod as well. Having seen the events from the Other World, Vegeta explains to Goku why the fat Majin Buu is here. Realizing this (and having already gotten indigestion from them), Super Buu somehow goes inside his own body and attempts to kill them. However, upon seeing Vegeta preparing to tear down fat Buu’s pod, he reacts in terror and pleads with Vegeta not to. He states that if Vegeta removes the fat Buu, then he would not be himself anymore. Smiling, Vegeta does exactly that, despite Buu's attempt to stop him. With Good Buu's connection to Super Buu severed, his form soon loses cohesion and melts into nothingness, putting an end to Super Buu once and for all. With Super Buu "gone for good", Vegeta and Goku escape with their friends through the holes in Super Buu's head. Meanwhile, Super Buu starts screaming in pain and begins to transform. He briefly assumes the hulking form he had when he first absorbed the South Supreme Kai, before reverting to his original form: Kid Buu. Goku and Vegeta's attempt to save their consumed comrades turns out to be in vain, as immediately after reverting to his original state, Kid Buu blows up the planet, killing the few who were still alive except Goku, Vegeta, Dende, and Mr. Satan, who Kibito Kai helped and transported to the Sacred World of the Kai just before the planet was destroyed.

Kid Buu is the original, pure form of Majin Buu. Unlike his other forms, this form of Buu's thought process is seen to be irrational and spontaneous, even destroying his own body to destroy the Earth. Although he appears smaller than any other form, he is more dangerous than any other forms of Buu due to his full relentless evil and unpredictability. He is also completely free of restraint and has no trace of sanity and, because of this, is extremely volatile. He retains his childish personality, becoming amused and laughing hysterically at his own destruction of entire worlds. He is the main antagonist for the Kid Buu Saga, the final antagonist of the Majin Buu Saga, and the overall final antagonist of Dragon Ball Z.

After his death, Kid Buu reincarnated into Uub, with Kid Buu hidden inside his being.

Background Majin Buu is said to be a creation of Bibidi by some sources. However it has been stated by Akira Toriyama that in truth Buu has actually existed since Time Immemorial. He cycled between rampages and long hibernation. During numerous iterations of this cycle, he absorbed the evil elements of mankind, becoming steadily more violent and evil. The evil wizard Bibidi merely knew the means of calling Buu from out of his long slumber. Long before the core events of Dragon Ball takes place, Majin Buu was summoned by Bibidi. This monster was a virtually invincible force of destruction, and, because of his absolutely wild and ruthless nature, he could not be controlled, even by Bibidi himself. An example of this is when Kid Buu blew up Planet Alpha and its inhabitants, and almost hit Bibidi in the process, causing Bibidi to tell Kid Buu off and only meekly telling him he is his "father" when Kid Buu intimidated him by glaring at him. Eventually, Buu and Bibidi made their way to the Sacred World of the Kai, where the rulers of the universe and Bibidi's sworn enemies, the Supreme Kais, lived peacefully. Majin Buu proceeded to kill both West Supreme Kai and North Supreme Kai before encountering South Supreme Kai, the strongest of the Kais. Although the Kai managed to fight more evenly with Buu than his cohorts had and landed a few hits on the monster, Buu managed to absorb Southern Supreme Kai during their fight, which transformed him into a bulkier version of himself. Majin Buu then made an attempt on the life of Shin, but he was saved by Grand Supreme Kai, who inflicted immense damage on Buu, but was unable to kill him due to Buu's regeneration. Buu then absorbed him, resulting in the formation of the childlike fat Majin Buu. Due to the innocence of the Grand Supreme Kai's soul, this Buu was much less evil and wild than the original Buu. As Buu became calmer and easier to control, seeing his opportunity, Bibidi finally managed to seal Majin Buu inside of a Sealed Ball without much resistance from the latter. Bibidi was then killed by Shin a short time later, which meant the madness of Majin Buu was believed to have ended for good. However, the fat Majin Buu was again resurrected 5 million years later on Earth by Bibidi's doppelganger, Babidi. After a long chain of events (which includes the fat Majin Buu murdering Babidi, the fight between Good Buu and Evil Buu, the birth of Super Buu, and everyone that Super Buu had absorbed (Gotenks, Piccolo, Gohan, and the fat Buu) being removed by Goku and Vegeta (when they were voluntarily absorbed when they were Vegito), the original pure evil form of Majin Buu finally resurfaced. Due to the destruction caused by Kid Buu, Majin Buu developed a fearsome reputation in Universe 7, enough that King Cold warned Frieza to never oppose Majin Buu. Majin Buu Saga After he came to his senses, transforming from Super Buu after Vegeta removed the good Majin Buu from Super Buu's head, Kid Buu attempted to destroy the Earth with a small yet incredibly powerful energy ball, but it was deflected by Vegeta's Final Burst Cannon. Kid Buu then created a massive energy ball and flung it towards the Earth. Goku and Vegeta realized that they would be unable to stop it and made an attempt to escape with Gohan, Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo. However, the only three that they were able to grab nearby were Mr. Satan, his dog Bee, and Dende. Kibito Kai appears and grabs onto Goku's hand (and grabbing on to Vegeta by his sleeveless jumpsuit), and teleports them away with Kai Kai while Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Piccolo, Yajirobe, Korin, Captain Ginyu, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu are left on Earth, where it is then shortly and completely obliterated. Regenerating after the explosion, Kid Buu goes off in search of Goku and Vegeta, teleporting to many planets as he goes and destroying them upon sensing the Saiyans' absence. Upon arriving, Kid Buu battles with Super Saiyan 2 Goku and Goku has the upper hand, although Kid Buu is not fighting at his maximum. Once he powers up, Goku transforms into Super Saiyan 3 and fights evenly with him. Kid Buu, having the advantage of perpetual endurance, wins over the battered Goku, who is quickly losing power from his draining Super Saiyan 3 transformation. Vegeta transforms into his Super Saiyan 2 form to fight Kid Buu in an attempt to buy some time so Goku can charge to full power to finish Buu, but is quickly defeated as well despite fighting well and lasting longer than expected. Mr. Satan then steps in and attempts to fight Buu, but is severely outmatched and relies on mere luck to survive. Kid Buu moves in for the kill, but finds himself unable to do so due to having the memories of Good Buu. His frustration ultimately leads him to spit out a small stone which explodes into an unconscious Good Buu. Now with nothing to stop him, Kid Buu resumes the play-fight with the enraged Mr. Satan, who attempts another pitiful attack when Good Buu steps in. Good Buu angrily tells Kid Buu to leave Mr. Satan alone and that his battle is with him. Kid Buu and Good Buu then engage one another in combat. The battle quickly turns in Kid Buu's favor, and he ultimately dominates Good Buu, who however, refuses to give up the fight. Meanwhile, Goku and Vegeta hatch a plan to have Dende and Kibito Kai use Porunga to restore the Earth and revive all the good people who were killed since the World Martial Arts Tournament. Goku then prepares to create a Super Spirit Bomb, while Vegeta uses King Kai's telepathy to ask for the Earthlings' help, to which only their friends and family respond. Kid Buu and Good Buu continue their battle, until Good Buu is beaten so badly that he cannot fight any longer. Mr. Satan then steps in to stop Kid Buu, and Vegeta once again battles Kid Buu to buy some more time. Ultimately, Mr. Satan manages to convince the people of Earth to give up their energy and the Super Spirit Bomb reaches completion, frightening Kid Buu. Unfortunately, Kid Buu holds the battered Vegeta 'hostage', keeping him in the Spirit Bomb's path as well, therefore stopping Goku from throwing the attack. However, Good Buu wakes up and smashes himself headfirst into Kid Buu, knocking him off Vegeta for Mr. Satan to carry off to safety. Unable to get Good Buu off of him, Kid Buu angrily blasts him away with a massive energy sphere. Now with an obstacle-free path, Goku takes his chance and throws the Spirit Bomb straight at Kid Buu, but Kid Buu is able to stop it and slowly pushes it back towards the exhausted Goku. Dende then uses the third wish with the Namekian Dragon to have all of Goku's strength be restored. Goku then turns Super Saiyan and overpowers Kid Buu with the Spirit Bomb, causing Majin Buu to be obliterated and thus vanquished forever. Shortly before Kid Buu's destruction, Goku openly hopes that one day Kid Buu will return as a good person so that they may have a rematch. In the Other World, King Yemma hears Goku's request and makes it come true by having Kid Buu reincarnated as a Earthling named Uub. In order to settle things for good with Good Buu, Goku wishes to erase all the Earthlings' memories of Majin Buu. Mr. Satan also gives Good Buu strict orders to refrain from getting angry, no matter what.

Mystic Ball Attack: The user curls himself up in a ball, and launches himself at his opponent, knocking them away. Then, he flies away and charges back to knock into the opponent several times. Finally, the user flies high up into the air and charges downward to knock the opponent into the ground, inflicting a great deal of damage.
Vice Shout: Super Buu lets out all of his energy in a high pitched scream, ripping apart dimensions and creating a portal.
Wrap Attack: By either stretching his body or regenerating around the opponent, Super Buu morphs his body into the shape of a spiral, then proceeds to stretch and wrap every inch of his body around his target.
Revenge Death Bomber: Super Buu charges pink energy around him while saying "I'll make you pay!" and unleashes it in the form of a gigantic explosion with him as the nexus, yelling out "I'll Kill You!", inflicting a massive amount of damage.
Bring It!: Before the opponent attacks him, Buu shouts "Come here!" as he strangles the opponent by his antenna. He then brings the opponent closer with his antenna before punching them away and then ending the attack by blasting them with a Vanishing Beam, inflicting a large amount of damage. Named in the Raging Blast series.

Illusion: Super Buu is able to create illusions of fighters he has absorbed to fight off anyone who entered his own body. According to the Daizenshuu, the illusions are just as powerful as the original.

*Special Beam Cannon: The move is performed by touching the index and middle fingers of one hand to the forehead and charging enough ki to attack. Its speed changes to the power level of the user performing the move. When ready, the fingers are extended forward, and two thin energy beams are unleashed from the fingers. One remains straight while the other coils around the straight beam. The resulting beam is quite powerful, drilling through most targets, and exploding on the ones it can't. Used in the Budokai series with Piccolo absorbed, and in the Budokai Tenkaichi series with Gotenks and Piccolo absorbed.

Blitzkreig: A barrage of small yellow finger beams.
Mystic Shooter: First, Super Buu raises both of his hands backwards, and charges red streaks of electricity in his palms. Then, he swings his hands over his head and fires reddish-pink energy discs against the opponent, inflicting a high amount of damage.
Ultimate Cannon: Super Buu curves his right side back and charges a pink energy sphere with streaks of electricity in his hand. He then throws his arm forward and fires the energy sphere at the opponent, inflicting high damage.
Staggering Super Slap: A surprise attack used against Goku and Vegeta during the battle inside himself.
Cross Slash: An energy attack in the shape of a red X used by Super Buu w/ Gohan absorbed.
You'll Die a Painful Death!: First, Super Buu punches the opponent in the stomach and jumps into the air to elbow them on their back. Then, he kicks the opponent up into the air and teleports behind them to backhand punch them away. Finally, Super Buu puts his hands forward and fires many pink energy blasts at the opponent, inflicting a high amount of damage.
Dangerous Liquid Bomb: Super Buu shoots out of his solid form and liquefies himself to force his body into the opponent orally.
- Energy Absorption: When in control of a person's body. Super Buu states that if they try to power up, Buu's power will increase due to having possessed them.
Elastic Tentacle: Buu simply extends his head tentacle and uses it to whip or constrict the opponent.

*Destroy Everthing!: First, Super Buu raises his hands up in the air, charges a large pink energy sphere, and then he throws his hands forward and fires the attack at the opponent, inflicting a massive amount of damage.

Galactic Donut: Super Buu executes this attack by raising his index finger into the air and circling it above his head to create a yellow ring of energy, whose appearance is very similar to the Destructo Disc. Once created, he transports the circular energy ring over his opponent, then lowers and homes it on them. This results in the opponent being gripped and trapped within the circular attack. He usually fires a series of three energy rings.

Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack: Kamikaze Ghosts are somewhat intelligent and extremely dangerous beings created by the user's ki, which resembles the user in personality and appearance. The user expels them from the mouth for an attack. They are touch sensitive and explode the second they touch something, including each other.

Super Ghost Buu Attack: Super Buu's version of the technique which can also use techniques such as the Kamehameha and Masenko.

Eye Lasers: The user shoots laser-like beams from both eyes. The potency of the Eye Laser technique varies, but most of them are very fast and able to nullify weak attacks and small projectiles, as well as cripple opponents and damage other objects. The Eye Lasers can vary in color from red to a bright blue-tinged white.

*Outside Space: A superior version of the Vice Shout used by the enraged Super Buu with Gohan absorbed in the anime.

Flight: The ability to fly with the use of ki.

Ki Blast:The most basic form of energy wave.

Mimicry: The coveted ability to copy another fighter's technique after seeing it used only once.

Absorption: Innocent Buu engulfs a victim completely or using a part of his body to suck the victim into his body, thus gaining their power and abilities.

Body Manipulation: An ability that allows the user to freely manipulate his/her own body structure.

Regeneration: The ability to regrow certain body parts or cells that have been dismembered or destroyed and replace them with brand new cells, or simply regrouping all of their separated parts back together.

Survivability: Like Frieza and Cell, the other iterations of Majin Buu, Buu has the ability to survive anywhere, in any condition without sustenance, even the most horrifying injuries. Combined with his regeneration, Buu's survivability makes him extremely difficult to kill.

Transfiguration Beam: This attack can actually change any object besides of chocolate or person into any type of object regardless of their strength. However, upon transformation, strong opponents can retain enough power to attack. The user usually announces what the attack will turn the victim into before using it.

Vaporize!: Innocent Buu throws his arms forward and fires a bluish-green energy wave against the opponent. He then charges more power into the energy wave, changing it into a giant energy sphere that blasts the opponent away, inflicting huge damage.

Healing: Buu is able to heal users of wounds and diseases. Such as being able to heal broken legs, gunshot wounds, and cure blindness.

Telekinesis: A technique that allows the user to manipulate objects and other people with the power of one's mind.

III Flash: First, Buu opens his mouth and charges a pink energy sphere with additional streaks of black and pink electricity. Then, he fires the energy sphere from his mouth in the form of a narrow, pink energy wave at the opponent, inflicting a high amount of damage.

Potbelly Attack: Buu grabs his belly and yanks off a piece of it, manipulating the skin to turn it into a long cylindrical piece. The skin suddenly comes alive, and he can use it as a weapon.

Angry Explosion: Majin Buu crosses his arms on his chest and charges a vibrating pink energy sphere around his body. Then, he looks up and shouts, "Big power!" with a deep voice. Finally, Majin Buu says, "Me mad now!" and unleashes an explosion of pink energy across an incredibly wide range, destroying everything caught in its path.

Nightmare Impact: First, Kid Buu front kicks the opponent in their stomach. Then, he roundhouse punches the opponent and punches them again in their stomach. Finally, Kid Buu puts his hand over the opponent's face and blasts them away with a pink energy wave, inflicting a huge amount of damage.

Pearl Flash: An attack used by Kid Buu against Good Buu in which he surrounds himself in energy and rushes forward like a rocket. This attack vaporized Good Buu's neck and up, but he regenerated.

Planet Burst: First, Kid Buu raises one hand in the air and gathers his energy in the form of a giant, bright-pink energy sphere. Once it is ready, he launches the energy sphere at the opponent, inflicting a huge amount of damage.

Shocking Ball: Kid Buu charges a large pink energy sphere by raising his hand. As electricity begins to surround the sphere, Kid Buu throws the sphere at his opponent, causing an incredible amount of damage.

Standard Tactics: Innocent Buu will do whatever he decides is fun, which for him has shown to be turning people into candy, causing massive explosions, or doing massive breath attacks.

Weaknesses: Overly naive and can be tricked into doing things due to his child-like mindset. His absorption can be circumvented by forming a forcefield around oneself. His candy beam will be useless if the enemy is around Buu's level or stronger then him.

Standard Tactics: Super Buu is similar to Innocent Buu in terms of tactics, though he has some extra techniques such as vice shout, and willingness to absorb his opponents. Super Buu with Piccolo absorbed has his smarts, implementing greater battle stratgies.

Weaknesses: Still holds the naivety of his Innocent Buu self, being able to be tricked. Destroying his core kills what makes Super Buu himself, reverting him back to his pure form which loses all of it's previous absorptions and is merely a mindless incarnate of evil. | Same core weakness. Holds the time limit of Super Gotenks, where they will defuse even while absorbed in him. | Same core weakness. Nothing notable.

Standard Tactics: Kid Buu in this form seeks nothing more then just destruction, doing any form of energy destroying attack.

Weaknesses: Is merely a mindless incarnate of evil, making him lose any form of strategy that he had prior.

Note: Super Buu with Gohan Absorbed's feat in the anime is not scalable to physicals at all, Vegito notes that his power is causing holes that will cause the dimensions to crash into the universe, the actual feat itself is not immedieate and takes a massive amount of time to happen, with Vegito stopping him before he was even close to completing it.

Note 2: No matter what statements are attempted to be used, Kid Buu is not stronger then Super Buu with Potential Unleashed Gohan absorbed. Kid Buu's entire reasoning for being so fearsome is that he is the only Buu unhinged and willing to just destroy everything without a care in the world. When he's first awoken, Son Goku and Vegeta believe they're able to take him, when they noted they stood no chance against Super Buu, Son Goku even notes he would've been able to beat Kid Buu if his SSJ3 stamina didn't drop so quickly. Kid Buu is also noted that every past person he's absorbed or eaten is gone from his body, meaning he lost all of the amplifications received from those. People will also try to say that Son Goku got a masive power boost, but this doesn't make sense as zenkai boost are activated from near death states, which not only has he not had during each of the Buu fights, but also a Zenkai boost has never shown to have that massive of an amp. For note, the amp had to have been so massive that it trumps every other zenkai boost in the series.

Note 3: Some clips used on the profile come from an anime or movie due to the fact that some abilities Goku use shouldn't function much differently from how they can in canon, along with this sometimes the anime version/video game version of a scene will be used for cleaner visuals. Toriyama himself directly overlooks scenes in the anime and movies and gives Toei the thumbs up^[17].

Note 4: The speed scaling for PLs are taken with a grain of salt as there are noticeable times where someone's speed isn't equal to their power, such as Burter being faster then Recoome and Jeice, along with Super Saiyan Grade 3 Trunks having his power greatly increased but his speed decreased.

Trivia

Buu's along with Bibidi and Babidi's manga names are most likely references to the magic words the fairy godmother uses in the 1950 film Cinderella, "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo." In Japanese, "Majin Buu" is roughly translated to "mean chief magical being."
The "wrapping goo" attack Majin Buu uses on Majin Vegeta (which Goten and Trunks later get him out of) is similar to the Merry-Go-Round Gum attack that Giran used against Goku at the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament in the original Dragon Ball.
During Majin Buu's first encounter with Goku, Goku tells him that he is a Saiyan. In the English Dub, Majin Buu tries to say "Saiyan", but it comes out as "Saiya-jin", a reference to the Japanese pronunciation for the Saiyan race.

Despite his immature nature, he seems to be able to have a normal memory since he did remember certain things such as Bibidi telling him to destroy planets even though this was millions of years ago, and remembering the promise Goku made him for giving him a good fight.
The fat Majin Buu seems to be the only character in Dragon Ball Z who was eaten by one of Buu's various forms and survived as if he was absorbed. In the manga, it was stated by Super Buu that out of all the people he ate, Majin Buu was the only one to receive special treatment, and be absorbed instead of killed.
In Budokai 2, Majin Buu says "Die you dummy!" just before he kills Babidi; this quote is not in the series. However, it may be a rewording of "Die, you fool!", which Majin Buu said in the Japanese version of the episode in question.
Majin Buu's character design is later reused as the main protagonist in Akira Toriyama's children's book called Toccio the Angel.
Majin Buu's vest and pants look similar to the Metamoran style of clothing.
In the Toonami: Night of New Years Eve-il, Majin Buu was elected the best villain of the year with a total 46,276 votes.
When Majin Buu is in his "Fat" form and stands atop Shin after supposedly defeating him, It is similar to later on when Mr. Satan (Hercule) did this to Majin Buu in order to take a picture, showing to everyone later that he had single handily defeated Majin Buu.
In the Mandarin and Funimation dub, both Super Buu and Kid Buu are voiced by two different people whereas in almost every other dub the voice actor remains the same.
According to Daizenshuu 1, Innocent Buu was inspired by Akira Toriyama's third editor, Fuyuto Takeda.
Buu bears several similarities to a genie. Buu is a magical being that is trapped inside an object, and then freed. Buu's general appearance bears some similarities to a genie. However, unlike a genie Buu does not grant wishes, and only goes back in his egg if he is trapped inside of it.
In the first trailer of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, Majin Buu is shown on screen and his name is written in English with the Japanese spelling "Boo". In the Japanese home release version, it was changed to the localized anime English spelling "Buu".
Evil Buu's voice is high-pitched in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi; this is fixed later on. However, he still only yells and grunts in the Budokai Tenkaichi series despite being able to speak in the series.
- On a side note, in the remastered release of the Fusion saga, the vocal effect to make his voice sound deeper was removed.
Theoretically, Evil Buu and Kid Buu are the same being, as Kid Buu represents the pure Evil Buu (without Piccolo, Gotenks, Son Gohan, and the fat Majin Buu/Supreme Kais).
He is the only form of Buu not to display any stretching of his body parts in the manga/anime; however, he has this ability in video games. Also, while still having a pink aura, Evil Buu is the only incarnation of Buu to usually not have pink skin.
Evil Buu is also the only form of Buu to never be seen using the Transfiguration Beam. However, as Evil Buu is Majin Buu (he is the evil half of Innocent Buu embodied in physical form), it is very likely Evil Buu can perform the Transfiguration Beam as well.
An image depicting the Organization of Babidi in Daizenshuu 4 shows an alternately colored version of Evil Buu with pink skin and red eyes, the same color as the other Buus on that image. The other pictures in that specific section of the Daizenshuu are all colored in pink/red and black and white tones, including members of the Ginyu Force.
Evil Buu is also depicted with pink skin in the Dragon Ball Collectible Card Game.
Along with his good counterpart, Evil Buu is one of the first Majins known to have been created via fission. In Dragon Ball Online, it is revealed that Good Buu himself would later use fission to create a female companion named Miss Buu whom along Good Buu (who became Mr. Buu), went on to become the preverbal Adam and Eve of the Majin race. In Xenoverse 2, in an alternate timeline Majin Buu creates the Majin family via fission instead. However, these fissions are not evil due to Good Buu's pure heart.
In Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, the Devilmite Beam inflicts more damage to Evil Buu than any other version of Buu. This implies that Evil Buu is indeed the evilest of the Buus.
Though hesitating (and at one point, refusing) to kill Mr. Satan, and listening to Videl asking him to wait one hour, he did not seem to mind turning Videl into chocolate and eating her later on, although it is unlikely he would have noticed in his feeding frenzy.
Unlike most villains, Super Buu is permanently gone as his personality was lost when Good Buu was removed and Kid Buu reincarnated into Uub following his death.
Super Buu, along with his pure form, is one of the only villains of the main timeline that killed most of the Z Fighters and most humans, the only exception being Goku, Gohan, Goten, Trunks (as Gotenks), Piccolo, Tien Shinhan, Chiaotzu, Mr. Satan, Bee, and Dende, however, the six above were killed when his Pure Form blows up the Earth, leaving only the four mentioned above.
- Coincidentally the Androids of the future killed most of the Z Fighters except Gohan and Trunks, in both cases, Gohan and Future Gohan tried to avenge their friends (present Android 18 was among who fell victim) from the menaces (Super Buu for Gohan and the Androids for Future Gohan), they initially overpowered their opponents first, but they got overpowered themselves, and both are badly injured fighting their respective opponents, and were ultimately killed by the villains (Super Buu's pure form did so by destroying the Earth, taking the unconscious Piccolo, Goten, and present timeline Trunks with the planet), the only differences being that the Androids kill the Z Fighters and later Future Gohan, in the present timeline, even Trunks was killed when Kid Buu blew up the planet, also, Tien and Chiaotzu were killed much later after the others, and Piccolo, Trunks, with the addition of Goten, died with Gohan, along with Tien and Chiaotzu, although they were ultimately revived by the Namekian Dragon Balls (along with the present timeline Androids).
Super Buu turned almost all members and supporters of the Z Fighters (except Tien and Chiaotzu) into candy, as even Goku and Vegeta (as Vegito) fell victim as well, although, unlike the others, who were turned into chocolate, Vegito was turned into a coffee flavored jawbreaker and could still move around in his new form. He even developed a new attack, called "pinball attack" to take advantage of his size, beating Super Buu in a comical way until he is forced to turn him back to normal.
- In the Xenoverse series, the Candy Beam turns all characters into jawbreakers which can move around like Vegito did, though are unable to attack while in candy form, though the user of the Candy Beam is unable to attack them either until they return to normal.
Right after he absorbs Gotenks and Piccolo, but before he fights Gohan, they both assume the fighting stances of Goku and Vegeta before their first battle; Gohan taking Goku's, and Buu taking Vegeta's.
After absorbing Piccolo and Gotenks, Super Buu tells Gohan "That really hurt, didn't it, Gohan? Facing your fears would have been far less painful". This is what Piccolo said to Gohan during the Saiyan Saga after Tien died while fighting Nappa. Super Buu also refers to Gohan as "Kid", a name Piccolo often addresses Gohan by. This may have been a psychological tactic on Super Buu's part likely influenced by Piccolo's intelligence.
Super Buu is sometimes confused with the Huge Majin Buu form the original Majin Buu took after absorbing the South Supreme Kai. Examples of this include Super Buu's biography in the video game Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi, which identifies this form as such.
In Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai - Another Road, the good Majin Buu's influence on Super Buu is still seen. After Babidi tries to kill Mr. Satan, Super Buu leaps in front to take the blast and then kills Babidi. While he still menaces the Z Fighters and events ultimately play out similarly to the main timeline from there, it nonetheless depicts the influence that was only seen fleetingly in the main timeline Super Buu. It is also worth noting that this incarnation is technically "Future Super Buu", since the game's events occur in the Future Trunks timeline.
In the original FUNimation dub, Super Buu's voice was deepened from the original recordings. The Remastered version kept the voice at its original pitch. In the Kai dub, however, the voice was tweaked to be deeper in pitch from the Z dub.
In the Mandarin and FUNimation dub, both Super Buu and Kid Buu are voiced by two different people whereas in almost every other dub the voice actor remains the same.
This is the only form Buu did not transform into since it is a fused form of two of his fissions Good Buu and Evil Buu.
After training non-stop for the Tournament of Power, Good Buu assumed a slimmed downed version of himself, which almost resemble Super Buu in appearance.
After Uub fuses with Good Buu, he buffs up similarly to Super Buu, with his being Kid Buu reincarnated also having parallels to Evil Buu absorbing Good Buu.
In the manga, Kid Buu does not have any fingers besides the small index finger, but, in the anime and video games, he has the regular four fingers and a thumb.
Kid Buu and Frieza are the only villains seen destroying planets by hitting the planet's core. They are also the only villains to have directly destroyed the Earth, though Frieza's destruction of the Earth was undone by Whis' Temporal Do-Over while the Earth was later restored using the Namekian Dragon Balls.
Kid Buu is the only villain in the original manga that Goku actually defeated (and killed) by using the Spirit Bomb.
Kid Buu's enlarging his fist to giant size to attack Vegeta is similar to Luffy's Gear Third from One Piece. This isn't surprising the manga's creator Eiichiro Oda is a noted Dragon Ball fan.
It is revealed that King Cold knew about Kid Buu as he warned Frieza never to fight with God of Destruction Beerus or Majin Buu. Additionally, Frieza was shocked upon learning Goku had killed the legendary Majin which made him realize how powerful Goku had become, though Frieza's training and acquisition of Golden Frieza allowed him to ultimately surpass Kid Buu.
- In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Cooler reveals he too was warned by his father to never oppose Beerus or Majin Buu indicating confronting either of them was taboo among the Frieza Clan.
In Super Janemba's ending in the arcade mode of Shin Budokai - Another Road, Super Janemba and Kid Buu are shown to be able to understand each other's words, and they even become friends.
- In Xenoverse 2, Kid Buu and Janemba also become partners in the parallel timeline featured in Parallel Quest 57: "Hell is a Picture?" where they end up turning hell into their playground, only to be confronted by Gogeta and the Future Warrior.
- In Dragon Ball Fusions, after Janemba is defeated by Tekka's Team, he transforms into Super Janemba and performs EX-Fusion with Kid Buu creating their EX-Fusion Janembu.
In Xenoverse 2, it is revealed by Good Buu when he offers to train the Majin Future Warrior to help them unlock their Pure Majin form, he warns them that there is a risk they may lose their "heart" if they try to achieve it which if it occurred would cause them to effectively turn into another incarnation of Kid Buu. However, the Future Warrior manages to retain their heart allowing them to transform into their Pure Majin form at will while maintaining their personality and sanity.
In Shin Budokai - Another Road, as a joke, the World Tournament Announcer understands all of the sounds Kid Buu makes as words, which surprises and confuses Vegeta and Goku.
In the Mandarin and FUNimation dub, both Super Buu and Kid Buu are voiced by two different people whereas in almost every other dub the voice actor remains the same.
In some of the fan-subbed Dragon Ball Z episodes from the 90's, Kid Buu is referred to as Pure Evil Boo, even though the only Majin who is pure evil is Evil Buu.
In Dragon Ball GT, when Kid Buu makes a cameo appearance, his eyes are white despite them being red originally.
In the original Japanese version, Kid Buu only says one word while fighting Good Buu being "die!".
In World Mission, Chronoa's flashback shows Kid Buu invading a planet during one of his many rampages during the period of history between Time Immemorial and 5 Million Before Age making it the first time said period history was actually depicted on-screen in any media.
- Ironically, Kid Buu ends up unintentionally fixing a minor alteration to history caused by the Time Patroller Sealas who had defied Chronoa to save a boy from being attacked by the Pure Majin. This makes Kid Buu the only known villain to have corrected history altered by a member of the Time Patrol.
