Background
Ms. Chalice, also known as The Legendary Chalice, is a side character in Cuphead, and the tritagonist of Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course. She searches various mausoleums in search of magic, which is revealed later in the DLC to be magic capable of returning her back to life. She is also implied to be a great warrior in her youth.
Appearance
Like her last name says, Ms. Chalice is an anthropomorphic light-yellow chalice, with a golden lip and handles, and a golden- and white-striped straw sticking out of her head, similar to that of Mugman.
Her facial features consist of a small golden nose, round eyes with three eyelashes on each and a yellow mole under her right eye.
She wears a black long-sleeve shirt, a light blue skirt with white bloomers, white gloves (with either white or yellow cuffs) and a pair of golden ballet flats.
If the answer "Yes" is chosen in the cut scene with the Devil before his battle—triggering the bad ending—Just like Cuphead and Mugman, her appearance dramatically changes. Her light blue and gold colors changes to pink and she now has a bitten straw, her left handle is broken, and she now has evil-looking yellow eyes with black and red pupils, a maniacal smile, and sharp teeth. Her eyelashes seem to be missing.
When the player completes the Cactus Girl’s quest, now the player can access to a new filter called Chalice in this filter Ms. Chalice’s appearance stays the same, but her colors are now gold rather than her usual default colors, her skin is also white rather than being light yellow, however for The Legendary Chalice her body is now gold, and her skin is also white as well.
Personality
The Legendary Chalice is a very kind and caring person, always going out of her way to help Cuphead and Mugman by finding new arts they can use. She's also very brave and/or naive, since she goes into the Mausoleums despite knowing that she can be trapped by the ghosts. She also seems to put others before herself, as while she wishes very much to become mortal again, she states that it isn't worth sacrificing her friends over it.

- Charms:
Optional Equipment
- Djimmi the Great's Lamp: A genie lanp that contains Djimmi the Great, who will grant Ms. Chalice any wish she desires.
Notable Techniques
- Double Jump: Although has less height than Cuphead and Mugman's standard height, Ms. Chalice can perform a far more versatile double jump.
- Parry Dash: Ms. Chalice propels herself forward quickly to dodge or cover long distances without falling, whilst also parrying any parriable objects in front of her.
- Invincible Roll: Ms. Chalice performs a grounded roll that makes her temporarily invulnerable to all forms of damage,
- Peashooter: An average damage weapon with good range. It has a light blue color and looks like a laser beam. The standard issue weapon that is given to Cuphead and Mugman at the beginning of their journey and is inherited by Ms. Chalice. It travels straightforward at a high velocity
- EX Move: Varies depending on the current bullet type.
- Supers:
- I: Astral Energy shoots from Ms. Chalice in a devastating vertical blast.
- II: Summons a familiar from the Astral Plane that will take 1 hit for you.
- III: Unleash Ms. Chalice's ancient form and launch a spectral volley.
- Plane: Ms. Chalice can use her astral plane for ariel combat.
- Rapid-Fire Spread Bullets: Rapid-Fire bullets are smaller than peashooter, but fire in three consecutive directions. Its EX move shoots two small horseshoe-shaped magnet rockets that dart at the target.
- Mini Bombs: Ms. Chalice drops double as many bombs as Cuphead and Mugman that deal more damage than regular bullets in exchange for a slower attack speed. Its EX fires a large missile that slowly tuns towards an opponent and chomps at them.
- Size Reduction: Ms. Chalice reduces her size and increases her speed while giving her bullets less range and less damage
- Super: Ms. Chalice turns into a rocket missile that explodes on contact or after a short period of time.
Other
Standard Tactics: Ms. Chalice's method for combat is entirely dependent on if she's in a physical body, or within the Astral Plane. For the former, she'll use her various weapons and charms to combat her opponents. For the latter, she will enter the minds of her opponents and fight their astral form.
Weaknesses: Due to being dead, she is bound by the Astral Plane and cannot escape, though this seems to have been resolved after the events of the Delicious Last Course.
