Background
Ramona Victoria "Rammy" Flowers is an American expatriate who lived in New York and now works as a "Ninja delivery girl" for Amazon.ca in Canada. She is 24 years old and Scott's main love interest. She reveals very little about herself and is very guarded about her past in New York before she moved to Toronto. She is capable of traveling through Subspace and has seven evil exes who challenge Scott for her affection. She is also a tea enthusiast, as discovered when Scott is bombarded with a list of teas in one of Ramona's cupboards of her home.

---|
Early life Junior high Little is known about Ramona's life before seventh grade, where she met Matthew Patel. She and Patel dated for only a week and a half, during which Ramona pretty much used Matthew and his mystical powers to ward off flocks of jocks interested in her. She dated Matthew, according to her own story, because he was the only non-white and non-jock kid at her school. The two only kissed once, and it ended shortly after due to Matthew's pre-adolescent capriciousness. Afterward, Patel moved far away. High school It is unknown what she was doing in eighth grade, but in her freshman year she was stalked by Lucas Lee, who had a crush on her and continually asked her out. Eventually, Flowers relented and the two dated for a long time. According to her, all they did was sit on a curb and smoke. At some point in the relationship Flowers cheated on and left him for the "first cocky pretty boy" that came by, Todd Ingram. Ramona dated Todd for the remainder of high school, saying they were the "bad kids" together. He vanished for two weeks while they dated, during which he went vegan (having apparently been studied by scientists). Todd returned and took Ramona out of class to prove his love for her by blasting one of the two craters in the moon, causing what Ramona described as "About 30 pages of explosions and tidal waves". She placed her hand over her mouth in utter shock. University of Carolina in the Sky Todd ended up going to a vegan college while Ramona went to the The University of Carolina in the Sky, though, so the two decided to let each other go. During her time in college, Ramona's roommate was Roxie Richter, who turned out to be a lesbian. Ramona became very curious about what it would be like to be intimate with a girl, and as Richter was presumably already attracted to her, they began dating. It is implied that they had sex, embarrassing Ramona. After post-secondary, they broke up and hadn't seen or heard much from one another. Ramona would later claim the relationship was "just a phase". Aftermath At some point after breaking up with Roxie, Ramona dated the Katayanagi Twins, Kyle and Ken, but without each knowing about the other (basically cheating on both of them). When the truth was revealed, they dumped her, but the three of them developed no sense of hostility between each other. Eventually, Ramona went to a party and met Gideon Graves there and quickly developed tender feelings for him. Despite Ramona's feelings for Gideon, Gideon saw his relationship with Ramona purely as an experiment, during which he inflicted Ramona with The Glow. Fed up with him constantly pushing her away, Ramona decided to leave Gideon, leaving nothing except a letter. Unfortunately for Ramona, Gideon walked in on her just as she finished the letter. Ramona, filled with intense emotions, became overwhelmed by The Glow and vanished into Subspace, taking the letter with her. Dating Scott Pilgrim Arrival in Toronto Traveling through the wormhole, Ramona arrived in Toronto, Canada, where she found a job as a "Ninja delivery girl" for Amazon.ca. She also got a cat, which she named Gideon as a way of working out her affairs. Shortly afterwards, she went to a party, where she met Scott Pilgrim, who annoyed her by talking about Pac-Man. When delivering packages to houses, she realized Scott had ordered something just so he could hit on her, and she reluctantly agreed to date him, having never experienced a relationship with anyone who was pure at heart. Their relationship has their ups and downs like any. She remains enigmatic and Scott remains a dork, but it's that very interest that keeps the two together. During Julie's early birthday party, taking place before Volume 4, she tells Scott that he is the nicest boy she has ever dated. This moment of happiness began to falter in Volume 5 when she learns from Knives that Scott had cheated on them both. She dismissed this bit of news at first, but after Scott accidentally blurts out that he cheated on Knives with her, she became increasingly upset, not only calling him a bad person, but "another Evil Ex waiting to happen," although she cheated on many of her boyfriends herself. Feeling guilty for her own past actions, Ramona confessed that she was no better. After hearing some encouraging words from Scott, she thanks him before vanishing, making Scott think it's over until Volume 6. Defeating Gideon Graves Meeting up with Scott in Subspace after his initial defeat against Gideon Graves, she apologizes and helps him fight Gideon. After being wounded by Gideon, she becomes trapped in her own mind and her desires controlled by him. After breaking free thanks to Scott, she takes control of her mind once more to cast Gideon out, leading to one last fight in reality. In the aftermath of their victory, she explains to Scott she feels like she has to keep running or else she feels "stuck." She's scared of the prospects of not changing but wants to be with Scott who continues to support her. |

Range: Standard Melee physically, Extended Melee to Tens of Meters with weapons from her subspace suitcase and the Power of Love (The Power of Love is a longsword), Universal with Time Travel and Environmental Destruction, Multiversal Subspace Manipulation (The size of subspace expands this large)
Intelligence: At least Genius Intelligence, likely Higher (Instant mastered the Power of Love longsword and fought alongside Scott to defeat Gideon, both of whom are seasoned swordsmen)Powers and Techniques
Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Human Achievements (Managed to overpower Gideon Graves within her head whilst he still had control over her. Those who can access the powers of Subspace in the real world naturally require a strong will and determination to control them), Martial Arts (Has been fighting since her junior high school years. Scales to Scott who is remarked as the best fighter in all of Province, shown skill in CQC), Acrobatics, Weapon Mastery (Trained alongside Roxanne Richter in the use of several different weapons), Forcefield Creation (Created a forcefield that blocked all of Matthew, and his Demon Hipster Chicks', fireballs), Cartoon Physics, Breaking the Fourth Wall, minor Precognition (Destiny Perception), and Clairvoyance (Like Scott, Ramona is aware she's in a comic book and already knows how the future events of the comic will play out due to reading her own story), Reactive Power Level (Ramona was able to adapt to the Glow's mental warfare-based abilities in ways Gideon never could think of and use it for herself), Transmutation (Whenever Ramona beats an evil exe they transform into Canadian currency. Scales to Scott who turned one of Roxanne's ninja clones into a coupon by accidentally kicking her), limited Invulnerability (Ramona can't kill herself or those she considers friends due to friendly fire not existing. She can die to "bad guys" however), Save and Load and Time Manipulation (Ramona can access and use a save point like any video game), Heat Manipulation and Fire Manipulation (Can melt snow through her sheer speed on her roller-skaters and create a trail of flames in her wake), Subjective Reality & Dimensional Storage (Whatever the user can imagine will be created in subspace. For instance, Scott manifested his love for Ramona as the Power of Love, which he can pull from and store in Subspace. Ramona has her own Subspace Suitcase which can store countless items and weapons), Battlefield Removal (Forced Teleportation & Application Based), Sealing (Physical), and Empathic Manipulation (After Ramona defeats someone like Gideon Graves, he respawns in his homes, having learned his lesson. Ramona's Subspace Suitcase acts as a portal directly into her mind, which she can trap people in), Self-Destruction (Ramona's Subspace Suitcase will self-destruct if destroyed in subspace), Social Influencing and Morality Manipulation (The psychic energy of Ramona's lesbian college phase reverberated through space-time and caused Knives Chau and Kim Pines to make out), Law Manipulation (Subspace can shape reality to the user's liking. An example being Scott Pilgrim and the various video game-like aspects of the world, which are a result of Subspace and its perspective-based abilities), Perspective Manipulation & Observation (Unconscious Manifestation; Potent Subspace users can use the perspective-based powers of Subspace to overwrite reality to fit how they view it in the real world), Avatar Creation (Has an avatar in subspace she unconsciously creates), Sound Manipulation (Can create destructive waves with his bass), Immortality (Life and Death Immunity; Death is treated as an inconvenience in the universe withy nobody actually dying), Statistics Amplification (Via Ramona realizing different forms of emotions [i.e. love] she "levels up" and amplifies herself to be able to one-shot people she could not previously contend with. She will also be stat amped just from being encouraged by things like removing Gideon from her life, allowing her to one-shot Gideon with the Power of Love who she was losing to previously. Can also stat amp herself via various drinks), Dimensional Travel & Space-Time Manipulation (Characters can manifest doors directly to subspace, or even move between subspace and the real world through sheer force. Breaking the walls between subspace and the main universe), Mind Manipulation (Entering subspace had him enter Ramona's mind), Irreversible Damage (Can kill one's subspace avatar and kill their true form in the process), Attack Reflection (Gave Gideon the Glow), Plot Manipulation (Narrative Manipulation & Plot Armor; Traditional; Through the power of Subspace, characters can rewrite and manipulate the plotline of their story. It's also implied throughout the Scott Pilgrim series that Scott, along with other major characters, are protected by a sort of plot armor to help them in dire situations), Portal Creation & Summoning (As the powers of the characters originate from Subspace, they can create portals or summon beings and objects from their subspace)
Resistance to Severe Pain (Able to survive being impaled through the chest by Gideon Graves with the Power of Love), Mind Manipulation (Was able to take back her freedom and subspace from Gideon Graves. Should naturally resist conventional mind manipulation as her mind harbors subspace), Sleep Manipulation (Despite listening to Crash and the Boys' song "Last Song Kills Audience", which forces people asleep, Ramona was not affected by it), Extreme Colds (Lives in Canada and can traverse through a blizzard), Transmutation (Doesn't turn into money upon getting stabbed by Gideon Graves), Irreversible Damage (Even when being attacked and killed in Subspace by Gideon Graves, neither Scott or Ramona died in the real world).
Resistance to Sealing, Corruption, Memory Manipulation, and Power Nullification (After expelling Gideon from her mind, the Glow's mental warfare abilities were nullified. Has fought the Glow's influence for years), Plot Manipulation (Narrative Manipulation & Plot Armor) and Erasure (Conceptual Erasure; Characters are unaffected by the events in the plotline being altered and erased entirely), Perspective Manipulation, Observation (Unconscious Manifestation & Conscious Manifestation), Law Manipulation, Space-Time Manipulation, and Subjective Reality (Even after being re-infected with the Glow, severing her connection to Subspace, she was still able to overpower Gideon for a brief moment)
All previous powers and abilities to an unknown extent. Abstract Existence (Idea, Primordial Source), Regeneration (Low-Godly; Subspace avatars are avatars of pure cognition[1] of one's true self and by extension can be restored by the true form at will[2]), Immortality, Supernatural Resilience, and Unconditional Time Travel (Life and Death Immunity; Concepts such as death are irrelevant to subspace avatars/dwellers as even if one dies[3] they will just be sent into subspace[4], with spirits being able to freely pass through and from Subspace. Immortal Metaphysical Aspect; All damage done to a subspace avatar means nothing to their true self. Someone like Scott could lose his limbs in subspace and be cut in half and would still be perfectly fine[2][5]. Reliance; True Self/Person; As the creation(s) in subspace ultimately have no major consequences on the real world self, the subspace avatar can be endlessly created[2]. Even if subspace itself is destroyed[5], the true self can simply restore it as well. Subspace avatars are avatars of pure cognition[1] created by one's true self and by extension can be restored by the true form at will[6], regardless of the damage they succumb to[2]) Alternate Replacements (Due to Subspace being an entire space-time continuum directly tied to the user's mind[7] mind subspace is therefore directly linked to the user's entire life, allowing for numerous versions of the same being to exist simultaneously[5]. Furthermore, psychic energies can traverse through the timestream to the present era, further suggesting that mental figments of one's past self can travel through the timestream), Acausality (Irregular Causality; Subspace is a different space-time where all rules are different (including death[4]), thus it should by extension be a different system of causality), Enhanced Perspective Manipulation and Observation (Unconscious Manifestation and Conscious Manifestation; Perception is Law. People, items, and Mind Subspace itself are based on the nature of the person's mind, therefore, however, a person imagines Subspace is how it will appear. A good example is Scott's Dream Desert[8]: this location is repeatedly used as a metaphor for Scott's loneliness but also is his projected image of Subspace at that time which Ramona is able to pass through[8]), Law Manipulation (One’s subspace operates under their rules[9] and systems[6] which can extend even to the real[10] world[11] with characters like Gideon affecting Ramona’s Subspace), Reality Warping and Mind Manipulation (Mindshifting; While Mind Subspace allows for others' own projected images of themselves to take on other forms[5], the individual whom the Subspace resides in retains all power and control within said mind. Through this, the character can shape themselves and Subspace to their liking all through their thoughts, perspectives, and desires), Power Nullification (A user of Subspace can completely nullify any connection an opponent has in that Subspace, regardless of if they're more powerful or not. This is how Ramona was able to expel Gideon despite him being a master of Subspace and able to manipulate it inside anyone's mind[5]), Dimensional Travel and limited Possession (Subspace users can unconsciously and consciously enter their subspace avatars[7], even after dying[5]), Power Manifestation (Gideon Graves was able to create the Glow from subspace[5] and use it to directly counter mind subspace[5])
Statistics Amplification and Power Modification (The Large Hammer provides a very specific statistic increase against girls), Light Manipulation, Glyph Creation, and Explosion Manipulation (The Large Hammer creates an aftereffect of light in its path, and can create explosions upon impact with a target)
Statistics Amplification and Power Modification (The Titanium Baseball Bat provides a very specific statistic increase against blonde-hair'd people)
All previous powers to a greater extent. Statistics Amplification (Increases the stats of the user. This stat boost allowed Scott Pilgrim to beat Roxanne Richter when he previously couldn't. Ramona Flowers blitzed Gideon Graves with the X-Strike which cut him multiple times in presumably a single strike), Accelerated Development (Passive. The Power of Love gives the user a "level up", granting the likes of Scott Pilgrim increased stats and skill that allowed him to best Roxanne Richter), Willpower Manipulation (The Power of Love increases "guts" and "will", which gave Scott Pilgrim the confidence boost to beat Roxanne Richter), Morality Manipulation (The Power of Love increased Scott Pilgrim's "heart" stat, giving him the courage to fight his own battle against Roxanne Richter and confront Mr.Chau), Healing and Restoration (The Power of Love can heal the users wounds and restore them to their peak), Fire Manipulation and Aura (The Power of Love is encased in an aura of fire), Enhanced Mind Manipulation (The Power of Love excels and is designed to defeat subspace enemies)
Light Manipulation and Empowerment (The Glow causes anyone infected with it to have their heads spontaneously glow when under emotional tension. Characters like Scott Pilgrim have been able to use the Glow to empower himself), Energy Manipulation (Gideon was able to fire energy beams of the Glow out at multiple targets), Sealing and Mind Manipulation (The Glow is described as a weapon of "emotional warfare" that seals you within your own mind subspace to face your issues), Empathic Manipulation and Corruption (The Glow corrupts the mind of the inflicted to act very bitter and irregular towards people), Memory Manipulation and Duplication (The Glow allowed Gideon to manipulate and alter the memories of Scott Pilgrim. The Glow caused multiple incarnations of Ramona Flowers to exist in her head based on the parts of her that belonged to herself and Gideon), Teleportation and Dimensional Travel (Ramona Flowers was able to "ride" the glow between subspace and reality. This also allows her to teleport wherever she wants), Power Nullification and Existence Grounding (Scott was able to use the Glow to depower Gideon to his base form self, reducing his Subspace control enough for Ramona to overpower his influence), Enhanced Perspective Manipulation, Observation (Unconscious Manifestation and Conscious Manifestation), Law Manipulation, Space-Time Manipulation, Pocket Reality Manipulation, and Subjective Reality (The Glow allowed Gideon to take hold of Ramona Flowers' mind subspace and become "all powerful" to his liking)
Statistics Amplification, Accelerated Development, and Willpower Manipulation (Other; Intelligence. Can buy consumable products like soft drinks, which can increase a number of specific stats of Ramona's)
Equipment
- Subspace Suitcase: The Subspace Suitcase is a suitcase-like case Ramona carries everywhere she goes. It's circular, with a shoulder strap and a star in the middle. It bears a star like the Subspace Doorways (Likely due to it being a direct doorway into her own personal mind subspace). Its capacity is unknown due to it following the rules of Subspace, thus it allows Ramona to carry as many weapons as she needs.

Subspace Weapons | |
|
- Large Hammer: The Large Hammer is seen only once in the series in Volume 3 during Ramona Flowers' fight with Envy Adams. After pulling the hammer from her Subspace Suitcase, Ramona uses it as cover throughout the fight until she's knocked to the ground and Envy takes it up. The Large Hammer provides a +2 against Girls.
-
Large Hammer
- Titanium Baseball Bat: The Titanium Baseball Bat is a weapon used by Ramona Flowers during her duel with Roxie Richter in the fourth book at The Happy Avocado, on the streets, and in Subspace. It's a standard baseball bat with "Whacker" written on the side, is able to stand up to multiple strikes from Roxie's katana unscathed, and is retrieved from Ramona's Subspace Suitcase. The Titanium Baseball Bat provides a +1 against Blondes.
-
Titanium Baseball Bat
- Power of Love: The Power of Love is a katana-like longsword Scott Pilgrim unlocks in volume 4 after confessing his love for Ramona Flowers, causing him to level up. During this same level up, Scott also received Guts +2, Heart +3, Smarts +1, and Will +1. In Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour, Gideon Graves steals the Power of Love from Scott, however Ramona obtains the sword following shortly after her return into the story, where she uses it alongside Scott to defeat Gideon once and for all.
-
Power of Love
Optional Equipment
- Food: Food acts very similar to stat increases in many role-playing games. In Soctt's case, food and beverages can increase stats such as Strength/Force, Intelligence, To Hit, Speed, Will, etcera.
Notable Techniques
First level up
- Power of Love: A supernatural longsword Scott can summon from his chest. Unlocked when he confessed his love for Ramona Flowers. It increases his "stats", making him more powerful and allows him compete with other swordsmen.
- Ninja Slash: A reference to the opening cutscene in Ninja Gaiden. Scott dashes forward at an incredible speed and slashes his opponent in half.
- Heal: When using the Power of Love, the sword can heal Scott's wounds, restoring him to his peak.
Subspace Abilities
- Subspace Transportation: Ramona can transport herself into the "Subspace". The Subspace is a realm that sits below and inside our own with a wide variety of uses. There are two main types of the Subspace:
- Transport Subspace: A realm closely linked to the real world, usually taking a random and fantasy-like appearance. Can be used to travel quickly due to distance in the Subspace being different to distance in the real world*. Can also be used to store a virtually infinite number of objects. Due to it's nature it can be useful for hiding, fleeing, preparing or aiding in a battle.
- Mind Subspace: Separate realms located in every person's mind, essentially their subconscious and where their dreams take place. It's appearance and nature relate to that person's personality and emotional state; a person in real life can influence their respective Subspace and vice-versa. Can be used to transport oneself next to that person or harm them/help them without being physically with them.
With the Glow
- The Glow: Described as a powerful weapon of "emotional warfare", the Glow manipulates the Subspace inside the minds of those it infects, causing them to become overwhelmed by their personal issues. The Glow suppresses positive emotions such as friendship and love, and simultaneously enhances negative feelings like suspicion, jealousy, and self-loathing. As such, the Glow can be used to poison or destroy people and their relationships. It also makes a person more susceptible to Gideon's manipulations. Gideon demonstrates this when he uses the Glow to make Scott and Ramona argue during the final battle. It appears that the Glow can lie "dormant" inside the mind of an infected person after the effects of their initial exposure wear off, as evidenced by Ramona's (and later Scott's) frequent episodes of spontaneously sporting the Glow throughout the series. The Glow is triggered by intense emotional moments, like in Volume 5 when Ramona is faced with the prospect of Scott having cheated on her with Knives, and is also experienced by Scott in Volume 6 after Kim points out the mistakes he made while they were dating in high school (namely beating up Simon Lee and leaving for Toronto without telling her), however the Glow's effects can also be activated without even while the likes of Scott and Ramona are both thinking straight and clear. The effects of the Glow on the infected subject vary depending on the subject's level of mental stress and trauma, but the only way to get rid of it permanently is for the inflicted to actually come to terms with his or her personal issues. Despite this, it is possible to still have the Glow and experience its effects even after coming to terms with these issues, like how Scott was reinfected with the Glow after facing NegaScott. While Gideon is able to spread the Glow via touch, he can also fire it at people in a projectile form as demonstrated when he sprays the crowd at Chaos Theatre with it in the final book.
Other
Standard Tactics: Ramona is incredibly resourceful and adept at using sharp and blunt objects. She will always either create or pull a weapon from her Subspace Suitcase in order to combat her opponents. She will also enter her own mind subspace to further assist herself.
Weaknesses: Her emotions and personality can make her irrational at times.
