Centaur Man is a Robot Master from Mega Man 6 that originally worked as a tour guide in an old archeology museum, though he was later modified for combat. His Special Weapon is the Centaur Flash - a unique system that grants Centaur Man space distortion abilities, allowing him to temporarily halt time. Whilst a powerful weapon, the main drawback is that Centaur Man has to consume a large amount of his energy to use it.
In order to compliment his attacking abilities, he is also equipped with the ability to teleport over short distances, and a specially designed buster on his right arm whose shots spread on impact. He later gains the ability to fire arrow-shaped bursts of energy in multiple directions for an attack known as the Centaur Arrow.
Centaur Man is a uniquely designed Robot Master in how he walks on four legs rather than the biped designs usually employed by Dr. Wily's other creations, resembling the mythical creature his name references. This design gives him great resilience, speed and agility compared to his colleagues, but he lacks the ability to jump.

Mega Man 6
When Centaur Man heard about the First Annual Robot Tournament, he entered the competition to restore the museum he worked on with the prize money. However, he was reprogrammed by Mr. X alongside seven other robots in the competition to help him conquer the world, and Mega Man has no choice but to fight them.
In combat, Centaur Man attacks by shooting a projectile that splits onto seven and spread out when it comes on contact with a wall. The player has to avoid it by finding an opening through the bullets and going through it. After that, he has two attacks: he may run into Mega Man to tackle him, which is avoided by jumping over him, or disappear, then reappear where Mega Man was when he disappeared and attack. He also activates the Centaur Flash to stop time sufficient enough to shoot a bullet to the wall and make the spread out bullets hit Mega Man. He is weak to Knight Man's Knight Crusher, which defeats him in seven hits.
Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters
Centaur Man is one of the six bosses in the "Search for Wily!" course. He uses the Centaur Arrow, an energy arrow shot diagonally up or down from his arm cannon. He also uses a shield for defense, a naginata, and has the help of Heli Metalls. He is weak to Gyro Man's Gyro Attack. His legs can be dashed under at certain times.
Alignment:Lawful Good (Initially worked as a tour guide in an old archeology museum and will follow the laws of robotics), Lawful Evil when reprogrammed by Dr. Wily (Reprogrammed by Dr. Wily disguised as Mr. X to help him take over the world and destroy Mega Man)
Naginata: Wields a naginata during his fight in Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters, which he deftly uses in combat.
Shield: A shield he creates for provided defense, he can instantly pull it up to block attacks.
Arrows: Energy arrows created from his arm cannon, he shoots them diagonally up or down.
Notable Techniques
Centaur Flash: Centaur Flash, known as Kentauros Flash in Japan, is Centaur Man's Special Weapon from Mega Man 6. When used by Centaur Man, he creates a dimensional distortion in a flash of light that freezes Mega Man in place, much like Time Stopper and Flash Stopper from previous games. It can actually be used to damage and strike all enemies on the screen, also hitting destroyable projectiles and ignoring the defenses of enemies like Shield Attacker GTR and Ben K. One Centaur Flash uses 4 units of the weapon energy, and it can be used 7 times with a full weapon energy gauge. Caution must be taken when using Centaur Flash as it briefly freezes Mega Man in place, which could be deadly if used while jumping over pits.
Centaur Arrow: Centaur Arrow is Centaur Man's Special Weapon in the "Find Wily!" mission in Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters, taking the place of Centaur Flash. This weapon is slightly unwieldy, as it randomly shoots straight forward or diagonally up. Up to two arrows can be shot in a row. When used by Centaur Man, it only fires in diagonal angles.
Other
Standard Tactics: Has a weakness to Knight Man's knight crusher and Gyro Man's gyro attack. Will teleport around while using centaur flash, producing shields to block attacks and use his naginata and centaur arrows for swift attacks or his energy projectiles.
Weaknesses: If his data is corrupted, he will be incapable of coming back.

In Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters, Centaur Man's theme is a remix of Junk Man's theme.
In the Mega Man & Bass CD data, Centaur Man's upper body's color is blue instead of green.
Centaur Man is assumed by Mega Man to be a woman based on his revealed physical features in the Rockman 6 manga. This gender complex is specific to the manga and is assumed by most to not carry over to any other continuities.
Centaur Man's aquatic-themed stage may be a reference to the lost city of Atlantis, which is believed to have been near Greece.
Centaur Man is the only Robot Master in Mega Man 6 that does not have a Mega Man Battle Network series counterpart.
Centaur Man is one of the few Robot Masters to give Mega Man two different weapons in different games. The others are Pharaoh Man, Tengu Man, and Astro Man.
Centaur Man's second weapon, Centaur Arrow, may be a reference to the constellation of Sagittarius, which is depicted as both a centaur and an archer. One of the Rockman Strategy bosses is actually named Sagittarius, and he resembles Centaur Man in being a centaur-like robot that fires arrows. However, Sagittarius has wings and fires arrows from a bow as opposed to a buster.
In terms of timeline, Centaur Man is the first Robot Master to be based on a mythical hybrid, followed later by Sagittarius and Splash Woman.
Centaur Man is the first quadrupedal Robot Master, the only other one known being Sagittarius. He is not, however, the first to have something other than feet, as Mega Man 5'sNapalm Man had tank treads.
Centaur Man is the third Robot Master who can manipulate time, after Time Man and Flash Man.
