However, Ching has said Pucca has a lovely singing voice, so rather than being incapable to speak, she chooses not to. She and Garu both sing in Hooray for Bollywood" (However, their voices are completely different than the occasional noises that they make).

Overview

Pucca is the main character and protagonist of the Pucca series.

She is a South Korean girl who is deeply in love with Garu, a handsome ninja-in-training, and often tries to hug or kiss him. Pucca is also close friends with Ching.

In the episode Tomb It May Concern and on some Pucca DVD cases, it is revealed that Pucca is the niece of Uncle Dumpling, Ho, and Linguini, though it is unclear which side of her family they are from. She lives with her three uncles at the Goh-Rong Restaurant, where she works as a delivery girl, riding her red scooter to make deliveries around town. Pucca also has a pink cat named Yani.

Like Garu, Pucca rarely speaks, and the reason for this is unclear. She often communicates through giggles, growls, and short phrases like "hello," "tada," and "yu huh!" On occasion, she has spoken more complex phrases, such as "I want."

Ching has mentioned that Pucca has a beautiful singing voice, indicating that she chooses not to speak rather than being unable to. Pucca and Garu both sing in Hooray for Bollywood, though their singing voices differ from their usual vocalizations.

Pucca is a skilled musician, as seen in episodes such as And the Band Played Rong and Sooga Size Me. She frequently steps in to protect Garu during conflicts, even when he reluctantly gives up.

She occasionally adopts an alter-ego known as "Noodle Girl," which makes appearances in the series.

Although Pucca is a talented fighter, she can be somewhat oblivious to her surroundings, often leading her to learn lessons the hard way.

Pucca is considered cute and pretty, attracting several admirers, including:

  • A Western version of Garu (Rootin' Tootin' Ninjas).
  • Lazlo Gozalotovish, a wealthy man (Prince Not So Charming).
  • A clone of Garu (Romancing the Clone).

Appearance

Pucca has long black hair typically styled in two buns with red ties, resembling an odango hairstyle. She has visible pink marks on her cheeks that disappear when she grins. While she usually keeps her eyes closed, she opens them in specific moments, such as when she wears her Garu costume in Dance, Pucca, Dance, and in some official artwork.

Different Costumes

She also enjoys dressing like other characters. Notable examples include:

  • A parody of Sailor Moon, where she uses a magical rod to rescue Garu from a giant sumo wrestler in Tokyo A Go-Go.
  • A Garu costume she sewed herself in Dance, Pucca, Dance, despite her uncles offering her one of their outfits.

Equipment

Transformation Wand, Canned noodles, Bat, Panda Flute, Noodle Wand, Net, Whip, Dynamite, Cross Bow, Fox Costume, Flyswatter, Machete, Pedal Car, Vespa, Space Bike, etcetera.

Notable Techniques

  • Foul Weather: When Pucca becomes extremely angry she can cause a massive weather storm that covers the entirety of Sooga's land.
  • Noodle Whips: Throws a noodle around like a whip, having noodles long enough to reach the moon and back, she also uses it similarly to Spider-Man using it to swing around her city.
  • Sailor Pucca: Turns herself into a Sailor Moon parody having her shoot out a beam that can lock someone in place, negate their transformation, fusions, etcetera
  • Funny Love: Used in a variety of different ways, she can create a heart that she can shoot around to either change someone to become morally good, create a town-wide purification explosion, or naturally have an aura that passively purifies everything around her.
  • Fiery Heart: Once Pucca has eaten enough spicy peppers she can enter a state where she heats her body up to set herself on fire. In this state she is completely invulnerable to attack and any of the enemies that come in contact with her are harmed.
  • Pucca 6 Star Ultimate: Pucca jumps into the air and proceeds to land down to the ground at fast speeds causing a massive explosion that can be seen from outside of the planet.
  • Pucca 3 Star Ultimate: Pucca creates a gigantic heart that causes an omnidirectional explosion defeating everything around her.
  • Heart Arrow: Pucca uses an arrow and gives it a homing property making the person fall in love with the first person they see upon being hit.
  • Pucca Skill: Pucca starts a basic combo then proceeds to spin around like a top creating a tornado defeating everyone that's near her.
  • Cry: Upon starting battle Pucca has an ability where she increases the entire party's attack.
  • Run: Pucca runs foward and collides with enemies. Deals 190% of attack as damage and makes them float.

Other

Standard Tactics: Pucca differs in tactics depending on how far away the enemy is and the type of material she's in (much like other contemporary cartoon characters). If the enemy is near she opts to physical fighting with throwing objects around her at them, if they're far away she opts to one of her abilities. Her aura depends on her being happy which under composite she would have due one of her Pucca selves always smiling. She also will start in unrestricted giving her a passive energy shield blocking attacks and manipulating the wind. It should be noted that Pucca's most usual way of dealing with someone is using Battlefield Removal to remove them in multiple ways. With her mobile continuity abilities she automatically starts the battle using "Cry" constantly spams "Run". She also overtime will use one of her two ultimate attacks. With her video game continuity she will use her empathic manipulation arrows along with attacking with a metal crate. Overall, due to this being a compositing Pucca will start off with passive empathic manipulation, statistics amplification, and spam moves like run if the enemy is near or use one of her many other abilities if the enemy is far away. In games such as Power Up, Pucca uses her empathic manipulation arrows along with attacking with a metal crate. She will also sometimes look for weak points in bosses.

Weaknesses: If the Noodle Shop closes she loses all motivation. If Garu is present she stops whatever she's doing to run up to him.

Note: Pucca has no definitive canon to speak of, thus any official material made before the reboot was created, is considered apart of the original series.

  147. character's luck
Finally, there is the 'lucky' system. Feeding the same character of the same rank increases the character's 'luck'. If you increase your luck, the probability of 'Lucky Attack' and 'Jackpot Chance' increases, but the important thing is this 'Jackpot Chance'.
As I said before, character development in Grappucca is not easy. I have to steadily grow a character, but at first it's hard because I don't have enough food, but later I run out of gold.
'Big Chance' announces its existence, saying that great luck awaits you when you walk around the stage. After that, you can get the original reward of the stage along with the reward of the jackpot chance. The jackpot chance gives not only money, but also jewels and dumplings, so let's make sure to get it.

  167. In Grappucca, each character has its own attributes. They have water, fire, wood, love, and dark attributes. Each attribute has a compatibility, so it is good to configure the character according to the stage compatibility. If the boss is a dark attribute, it is a way to organize a party with a character with a love attribute
