~ Goku to the Xenoverse 2 Future Warrior after saving them from final form Mira
Wow. That's um... Bad.
~ Goku to the Future Warrior if they fail their quest

Background

Son Goku, born Kakarot, is a Saiyan raised on Earth and the overall main protagonist of the Dragon Ball series. Originally was sent to Earth as an infant, Kakarot would be adopted by Grandpa Gohan who named him Son Goku. A head injury at an early age alters Goku's memory, ridding him of his initial destructive nature and allowing him to grow up to become one of Earth's greatest defenders. He constantly strives and trains to be the greatest warrior possible, which has kept the Earth and the universe safe from destruction many times.

This dropdown contains the synopsis of Son Goku’s story. Read at your own risk as you may be spoiled otherwise!

Xenoverse
Due to the arrival of the Time Breakers and their tampering with time, many of Goku's major battles were altered to give an advantage to his opponent, causing a change in history. However with help from the Future Warrior these changes were corrected, allowing history to play out as was intended.

Demon God Demigra Saga
After Demigra's escape from the Crack of Time, the Future Warrior is forced to fight the revived Buu, Cell, and Frieza. Chronoa then calls for Goku's help, in which he helps the Future Warrior defeat Buu, Cell, and Frieza, and the brainwashed Gotenks, Gohan, and Vegeta. After the Future Warrior returns to the Time Nest, he finds that Demigra has taken over Tokitoki City, and has brainwashed Trunks into doing his dirty work. Once Trunks was reverted to normal, Goku finds his way to the Time Nest. Due to his earlier transformation into a Super Saiyan God, he was immune to Demigra's magic. After Demigra's defeat, he escapes to the Time Next, and Goku uses Instant Transmission and brings everyone back to his location, the Time Vault. Demigra is angered and tries to destroy the Time Vault, despite Chronoa's warning. The Future Warrior and Super Saiyan 3 Goku charge at him, but Demigra fires spears at them both. One impales and kills the Future Warrior, while four of them trap Goku in an electrified force field. Then the Future Warrior (apparently from a different timeline) appears and destroys Goku's electrified gate. After the Future Warrior enters the portal that Demigra escaped to, Goku struggles to stop the gigantic energy ball from destroying Tokitoki.

Goku stops the giant ball from destroying Tokitoki, and uses Instant Transmission to catch up to Demigra and the Future Warrior in the Crack of Time. They fight Demigra in his final form, and finish him off with a combined Kamehameha. Once Demigra is defeated, Goku and the Future Warrior return to the Time Nest, where Trunks and Chronoa are relieved to see them. Goku then challenges the Future Warrior to a fight, where he/she gladly accepted. The Supreme Kai then stops them and tells them that fighting there would cause a disaster.

In the aftermath, Chronoa thanks Goku for everything. Goku then replies that he should be thanking her instead, for giving him something to be excited for. Goku then leaves, but not before being welcome to return in the future.

Xenoverse 2
Once again, due to the changes in history made by the Time Breakers, Goku's previous battles were changed for the worse. These changes were corrected thanks to the new Future Warrior being sent back in time to correct history.

Infinite History
He and Vegeta appear fighting Fu who they think is Whis. They later fight the Future Warrior and his teacher. If the teacher is Goku then the two Goku's will battle. Fu will turn one of the Goku's and Vegeta into Super Saiyan 4's with Blutz Waves and your Goku will respond by turning Super Saiyan Blue and the Goku's will battle each other, with Vegeta becoming increasingly annoyed and flustered of having to deal with two Goku's. Later if the right choices are made, Old Kai will manipulate Goku into wanting to fight Fu, as Old Kai believes Fu is responsible for everything. This will cause the Future Warrior to step in and fight in Fu's place. After the fight begins Fu will reappear and give all the energy he absorbed to the Future Warrior, which allows him to fight on par with and beat Super Saiyan Blue Goku, forcing Goku to push himself into Ultra Instinct, to which the fight was unfinished.

Altered Tournament of Power
Fu returns to once again cause trouble for the Time Patrol via another one of his "experiments", this time taking place in an alternate version of the Tournament of Power. In this altered timeline, Fu acts as a member of Universe 11 replacing Dyspo. The Time Patrol are forced to send in Time Patrol Trunks and the Conton City Hero, to fix Fu's alterations. Though successful, Fu retreats through a time rift.

Future Reborn
Time Patrol Trunks and the Conton City Hero follow Fu through the time rift, finding themselves in what appears to be Hell and assume it is Janemba's timeline of origin as the demon is apparently fighting Pikkon though neither are Goku, Vegeta, nor their fusion Gogeta is present. Eventually Fu uses one of his raid crystals to empower Janemba into his first stage Supervillain state and Janemba uses his Mystic Copy ability to create an army of clones. Fortunately, Future Gohan suddenly appears to assist Time Patrol Trunks, the Conton City Hero, and Pikkon, apparently having been brought back to life as a result of Janemba's reality warping (similar to how Frieza and some of the villains who escaped Hell in Fusion Reborn were brought back to life) as he lacks a Halo.

However, the Janemba's keep appearing one after another, though fortunately Super Saiyan Blue Goku from the altered Tournament of Power comes to their assistance to pay back the Time Patrol for their assistance during the Tournament of Power. Future Gohan is surprised to see his father's counterpart and wonders about his blue haired Super Saiyan form, but both decide its best to focus on defeating the Janembas for the time being. As father and son, Goku and Future Gohan fight together with near perfect coordination, even managing to pull off a Father-Son Kamehameha, which helps turn the tide in their favor.

Unfortunately, Fu reveals that they are currently in the Hell of Future Trunks' alternate timeline revealing that the Pikkon they are allied with is actually Future Pikkon, thus explaining Future Gohan's presence. Fu also reveals that the Janemba they have been fighting is an anomalous Future Janemba who according to him didn't exist in the original unaltered history, revealing that he is responsible for Future Janemba's creation. As a result, defeating Future Janemba and his clones doesn't actually fix things and Fu absorbs the altered timeline causing the Hell of the Future to start to disappear as he absorbs the altered timeline's energy. Fortunately, Future Trunks and the Conton City Hero escape through the time rift Fu uses the flee, though Goku, Future Gohan, and Future Pikkon's fate is left uncertain.

All ki attacks should be comparable to Goku's kamehameha, which reached all the way to the sun) (Ki attacks can reach out of the planet and to other planets. All ki attacks should be comparable to Goku's kamehameha, which reached all the way to the sun), Multiversal with Instant Transmission (Can teleport out of the Crack in Time a dimension outside of the multiverse, in which the Xenoverse multiverse has countless amounts of timelines, all within the time nest)

Intelligence: Below Average socially (Raised in the mountains with his adoptive grandpa before the latter’s death, knows little to nothing about how society functions), At least Below Average, possibly Above Average academics wise (While training with Master Roshi he learned about Math & Calculus, though Goku has displayed he can’t count beyond 18 after being explained to him what comes after 18 he was able to quickly count past it, along with this he has shown to have better understanding academically of situations), Genius combat wise (Should be the same level of intelligence as his main timeline self, who copies a Kamehameha after seeing it once, which is supposed to take 50 years to learn according to Roshi, copied Master Roshi’s ultimate technique the afterimage after seeing it done, could copy Tien’s solar flare and his flying technique and could copy the demon clan’s air ki techniques. Goku is an incredibly skilled fighter to the point that he is able to easily outskill trained Martial Artists such as Krillin and Yamcha and match prodigies such as Tien and even nearly beat his Master, Roshi, after training with him for a few months)

Powers and Abilities

A users ki aura can exert itself as a weapon to attack), Attack Reflection (All Ki users are able to reflect attacks just by being stronger than their opponent. Examples include, Nappa deflecting a masenko from Son Gohan, Son Gohan being able to bounce back the spirit bomb, Son Goku deflecting a crusher ball from Jeice, Frieza deflecting a Final Burst Cannon from Vegeta, Son Goku reflecting multiple death beams back to back from Frieza, and Future Trunks being able to completely repel an energy blast with his hand from a Frieza Soldier just by being much stronger than them), Aura (Has an aura of ki surrounding him whenever he exerts ki), Homing Attack (Ki users can create attacks that will home in and chase a target forever), Mind Manipulation (Characters can link their ki together and train within each other’s mind enacting in image training), Power Absorption & Transferal (Ki users can transfer their ki to others and absorb the ki given to them from others), Forcefield Creation (Ki users such as Cell can generate forcefields around themselves. These forcefields can be expanded, and used to protect others and defend against attacks far higher then the user), Self-Destruction (Ki users in Dragon Ball are able to release all of the energy within them to cause a massive self-destruction of energy that normally kills the user and turns them into dust though one can control it to surviving but having no stamina or energy left), Vibration Manipulation (Powerful ki users can cause the very ground itself to shake when they power up), Intimidation, Metaphysics Manipulation & Pain Manipulation (Spirit Manipulation; Ki is the manifestation of one’s lifeforce, along with the aura giving one the feeling of being crushed, exerting fear into the target, sometimes making them incapable of moving as their body is instinctively stuck due to the sheer difference in power), Energy Manipulation (Ki is the latent power in one's body, this latent power allows them to form and create energy from controlling their ki, which can be used to shoot out energy blast), Explosion Manipulation (Ki attacks can create massive explosions, control the ki to set off a huge explosion under the enemy, or in front of them), Heat Manipulation (Ki user's ki attacks produce heat allowing them to cook and grill animals and raw meat[1][2], along with leaving behind steam after the attacks hit an area, showing its latent heat), Power Nullification (Those with ki can nullify attacks of lesser ki with their ki alone. They can also catch and nullify ki attacks around their level through focusing enough[3]), Light Manipulation (Ki can be used as a flash of light), Non-Physical Interaction (Those with ki can block intangible attacks when they focus and notices them[4]), Healing (Ki can be used to heal beings, allowing them to survive even with half their torso, it can also heal from near death), Fusionism (Kid Goku can perform the Fusion Dance. Acrobatics (Capable of doing large superhuman jumps and leaps along with acrobatic flips during combat), Martial Arts, Vehicular Mastery (Land Vehicles & Air Vehicles; Able to drive cars, able to fly around in his flying nimbus even during combat), Weapon Mastery (Goku can use his power pole in combat and for other practices, such as a way to extend objects up without the use of his hands, along with reaching "the heavens" (Kami's Lookout)), Natural Weaponry (After training his tail, it is no longer a weakness an enemy can exploit and a part of his body he can use in battle), Pressure Point Strikes (Used it to chop King Chappa and knock him out in one blow. Goku is capable of hearing telepathic conversations), Enhanced Senses (Goku’s nose is as sharp as a dog’s, allowing him to smell the scent of people from far away. Can sense people in a village even when they are all hiding), Sheer Will (Goku has an immense amount of willpower, to the point that he can start his heart beating again after it stops from sheer will, along with drinking the water of the gods and suffering immense and unexplainable pain for six hours straight without ever giving in just to gain more power), Pure Heart (Goku is able to ride the nimbus cloud, which only those of a pure heart can ride. Was directly noted he doesn't have a single bit of evil in his heart), Accelerated Development (Training; Physical Stats, Skill, & Abilities. As Goku trains he naturally grows stronger at a much faster rate then any of the earthlings. As an example, in the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament saga, Goku in a few months of training matched Master Roshi, one of the strongest Earthlings. Goku is able to increase his ki allowing him to mimic various attacks and gain access to abilities that even if teachers could not, such as how he was able to access Kaio-ken, which even King Kai couldn't access when he made the move itself), Bulletproof (Asides from gag scenes, bullets are unable to pierce him), Flight & Body Control (By the end of original Dragon Ball he learns the flight technique from seeing Tien and co. do it. Could control his tail to move fast enough to have him briefly fly), Afterimage Creation (Could use Jackie Chun’s afterimage technique. Could eventually make an even better version of Chun’s afterimage technique), Extrasensory Perception (After drinking the Water of the Gods, Goku was able to sense ki. Goku has been trained by Mr. Popo in learning to hone his sixth sense to be able to notice people attacking him from behind without using his eyes and feeling the environment around him), Precognition (Premonitions; Son Goku can have dark premonitions through bad dreams that allowing him to see people like Vegeta and Nappa who he hasn't seen or knew about beforehand and just knew two saiyans were coming to earth[5]. Analytical Prediction; During his training with Korrin he learns how to read his opponents movements), Transformation (Partial Transformation; During the Frieza saga through the rage of seeing his best friend's death, Goku was able to achieve the legendary Super Saiyan transformation), Damage Boost (His beam attacks such as the Kamehameha, are far beyond his regular attacks which is an attack that focuses all of Goku's latent energy into a single blast), Summoning (Can summon the flying nimbus), Size Manipulation & Pseudo-BFR (With the power pole, can give it the command to extend, it is able to extend far enough to take his enemies to the moon), Mimicry (Power Mimicry & Technique Mimicry; Goku has a consistent streak of mimicking abilities he’s seen others use, the most famous being him easily mimicking the Kamehameha, an ability stated by Roshi takes 50 years of practice to use, along with mimicking the demon clan’s air attack abilities and Tien’s Solar Flare, and Goku being capable of mimicking Roshi’s afterimage technique after seeing him use it against Krillin, with Goku even being able to improve upon it), Breath Attack (Goku can unleash a great blast of air from his lungs to momentarily stop himself in the air), Power Suppression (Statistics Suppression; With ki control, able to suppress one's ki to be able to fight weaker enemies, along with vary it to hide their true strength. Goku learned the ability to radically raise his chi only in the instant he attacks, so instatneously that not even scouters can pick it up along with people that can ki sense not being able to pick it up), Shockwave Generation & Air Manipulation (Through punching the air with tremendous force, Goku creates a shockwave that blows opponents away before they have a chance to dodge), Solar Flare (With the solar flare, creates a flash of light that blinds the opponent), Spatial Manipulation (Goku can erase his presence completely, and ki allowing him to appear wherever, even when Piccolo punched him he didn't actually hit the real Goku), Telepathy (Goku is able to telepathyically speak in people's heads. Read Krillin's mind, could read into King Kai’s telepathy with Guru and telepathically speak with King Kai), Reactive Adaptation (Goku is able to adapt to higher levels of gravity after training within them), Damage Reduction (His gi created by King Kai allows him to repel weak attacks), Statistics Amplification (With Kaioken transformations, capable of increasing his strength and durability at the sacrifice of his body), Absorption (Goku can absorb the ki gathered from the Spirit Bomb and use it to fuel his own ki), Power Manifestation (Goku is capable of coming up with new abilities), Telekinesis (Goku is able to use telekinesis being capable of telekinetically moving water, though this took a lot of concentration), Teleportation & Dimensional BFR (Forced Teleportation; With the technique Instant Transmission, Goku can lock a ki signature and teleport to the location instantly. Resistance to Extrasensory Perception & Enhanced Senses (Normal mortals cannot sense energy emitted from a god[12])

Standard Equipment

Nothing notable.

Notable Techniques

  • Rock, Scissors 'N' Paper: A technique taught to Goku by Grandpa Gohan which employs one of three attack styles; either a closed-fist assault, a two-finger jabbing assault, or an open-palm thrust assault. It was Goku's signature attack early on during his childhood, soon afterwards being replaced with the Kamehameha.
  • Tail Attack: A technique used by those who have tail in order to attack their opponents. They can use it to whip or constrict the opponent. Goku uses this to break free from Tien Shinhan's Four Witches Technique.
  • Double Axe Hand: Goku cups his hands together and reels back, then slams his fists on the opponent.
  • Eight-Arm Fist: A physical technique that involves its user moving their arms fast enough that they seemingly have eight of them, allowing them to attack and defend themselves much more efficiently. Used to counter Tien Shinhan's Four Witches Technique.
  • Crazy Fist: A distraction technique used by Goku and designed to confuse and taunt the opponent. Pretending to be a wild uncontrollable dog or monkey, Goku catches his opponent off guard, and eventually knocks him out with a swift kick by jumping from behind. Goku uses this in reaction to Jackie Chun's Drunken Fist.
  • Tornado!: After calling the name of the attack, Goku spins while rushing on the opponent to attack him/her. Used against Nam.
  • Afterimage Technique: Goku creates perfect replica afterimages of himself to give the illusion of him still being in a location making it difficult for the opponent to actually harm his true self.
  • Mid-Air Stop: While falling to the ground, Goku exhales his breath like an explosive blast to stop his decent. Goku uses this technique against King Chappa in the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament preliminaries.
  • Tail Helicopter: Goku swings his tail in a circle fast enough to hover and fly freely. Used only once, in his fight against Jackie Chun in the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament.
  • Agile Style: After his training under Kami, Goku could remove the Weighted portions Turtle School Uniform to increase his power level and agility due to being no longer incumbered by the heavy weights allowing him to utilize a more agile fighting style hence its name. Goku first used it during the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament and later when he confronted his brother Raditz alongside Piccolo. According to Raditz's Scouter, Goku's power level rose from 334 to 416 indicating the weight removal alone increased his power level by 82. This state was named in Dragon Ball Legends (albeit in relation to Piccolo & Pikkon's use of Agile Style) where it is the "base" form used by Goku (DBL22-01S) which represents Goku from the period during which he fought Raditz.
  • Dragonthrow: Goku grabs his opponent's arm, leg, tail, or antenna, then he spins and throws them away.
  • Meteor Combination: First, Goku charges at the opponent and elbows them away. Then, he attacks the opponent with a powerful barrage of kicks and punches, ending with a heavy punch to their stomach. When the opponent lays on the ground paralyzed, Goku jumps up in the air and fires a Super Kamehameha down at the opponent, inflicting a massive amount of damage.
  • Meteor Smash: Goku punches the opponent in the stomach. Then, he punches the opponent away and flies after them to right hook kick them in their face. Finally, Goku axe kicks the side of the opponent's head, knocking them away and inflicting a great deal of damage.
  • Bōjutsu: The art of wielding a staff which Goku utilizes when wielding his Power Pole. Goku learned it from the Power Pole's previous owner, his adoptive Grandpa Gohan. Goku's Bōjutsu skills are so great that he can use his Power Pole to deflect bullets as shown during his assault on Muscle Tower. Additionally, due to the Power Pole's mystical length changing properties, his attack range with the Power Pole is much greater than an average staff.
  • Kaoi-ken Finish: First, Goku charges at the opponent and kicks them up into the air. Then, he flies up after the opponent and double axe-handle punches them down to the ground. Next, he powers up to his Kaio-ken technique as he charges down at the opponent and double-punches them in their back. Finally, Goku quickly lands on the ground and catches the opponent on their back before throwing them onto the ground, inflicting a great deal of damage.
  • Kaoi-Ken Attack: Goku powers up to Kaio-ken x3 as he charges at the opponent and roundhouse kicks them up into the air. Then, he flies up in the air and punches the opponent away. Next, he flies up over the opponent and down behind to double kick them further up into the air. Finally, Goku flies up into the air around the opponent and hook kicks them down into the ground, inflicting a huge amount of damage.
  • Ki Blast: The most basic energy attack, Goku creates a small form of energy that he blasts at an opponent, usually he uses this to keep his distance from an enemy or to distract them so he can land another attack.
  • Kiai: A technique where Goku affects the air currents around him with ki to produce powerful shockwaves in order to strike the opponent at mid-range.
  • Kamehameha: Goku's signature move since obtaining it. It unleashes a powerful and long-stretching blue energy blast from his cupped hands. Goku first learns the move as a kid after witnessing Master Roshi using it. It can be charged to compete with practically any enemy attack. Since mastering this technique, Goku has continued to improve on it and develop new variations of it.
  • Spirit Bomb: Easily Goku's most powerful techniques and arguably the strongest in the series, it allows Goku to channel ki from all sources of life that he can detect and focus it all into a single energy ball. It was taught to him by King Kai during his training for the upcoming battle against Vegeta and Nappa. Over time, Goku continually learned to expand the range of which he could gather energy, thereby increasing both the size and power of the Spirit Bomb. He reserves this technique as a last-ditch effort for only the most powerful of foes.
  • Instant Transmission: Goku learns this technique on the Planet Yardrat after his battle with Frieza by learning Spirit Control - which also allowed him to sense ki from a much greater distance. This technique allows him to teleport to any location so long as he can find an energy source to home onto. However, it also greatly extends his ability to sense energy. Noticeably in Yo Son Goku, he seemingly improved on the technique as transports to the radish field without sensing anyone, possibly because he had accurate enough knowledge of where it is.
  • Solar Flare: Goku places his hands close to the center of his face with the fingers spread toward his eyes. He then calls out the name of the technique, which provokes a white light to fire out and blind everything watching except him, since he is projecting the light.
  • Great Ape: Like all Saiyans, Goku can transform into a Great Ape when absorbing enough blutz waves, usually from looking at a full moon, while still having his tail, though not of his choosing. As a Great Ape, Goku's dormant Saiyan traits re-emerge, and he becomes feral and violent. His power and senses increase 10-fold and are able to generate powerful mouth blasts. However, because his tail was removed permanently Kami when restoring the moon, Goku lost access completely to this form.
  • Unlock Potential: After drinking the Ultra Divine Water and surviving its painful side-effects, Goku's true potential was released, apparently in the form of accessing Great Ape in his base form. This was seen by his natural aura manifesting as an image of a Great Ape surrounding him, essentially absorbing the power of the Great Ape into himself. The power boost not only enabled him to fight on par with King Piccolo in his prime, who previously decimated Goku in his frailer elderly state, but it also heightened Goku's senses and instincts, able to detect the location of people's ki.
  • Kaoi-ken: Goku learns this technique while training under King Kai after dying against Raditz. While using it and any of its multipliers, Goku's various capacities and techniques are all proportionally increased. However, the strain of using too high a multiplier and/or for too long can be dangerous and greatly damage his body. As such, he ceased using it after his gaining Super Saiyan. While he can combine the two powers, Goku never tried this while alive as doing so could lead to near-certain death. Later, however, with his Super Saiyan Blue, taking advantage of his divine form's superior energy control and more naturally calm mindedness, he was able to use this technique more regularly.
  • Super Saiyan: Goku achieves this form in a rage after Frieza killed Krillin. In this form, Goku's muscle and height slight increase and his skin turns lighter. His eyes become noticeably sterner and more defined with green eyes. His hair becomes blond and stands with no loose strands. His power also generates a yellow aura. In the anime, when unleashing the full intensity of his power, Goku's aura also produces some slight electrical sparks. Goku's demeanor is greatly affected by this form, making him more aggressive and irritable.
    • Super Saiyan Second Grade: Realizing that the androids' power exceeds a Super Saiyan, Goku entered the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to surpass the basic Super Saiyan form. Ultimately, Goku unlocked this form after weeks of training. However, Goku realized that this form spends too much ki to be maintained. Rather than attempting the more arduous and time-consuming task of refining this form, Goku came to the conclusion that the basic Super Saiyan form is better suited for combat, making a plan to master it and abandon this form completely. As a result of this and discovering more powerful forms, this form is never used again.
    • Super Saiyan Third Grade: Along with Second Grade, Goku achieves this form in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. While vastly stronger than Second Grade, the power output is too intense, causing Goku's muscles to become engorged from the struggle of maintaining this unsteady power boost. This instability drained his ki too fast to be of use for long. It also causes an extreme drop in his speed and agility, tiring him even more and reducing his effectiveness overall. Goku noted that while much stronger than Semi-Perfect Cell, it meant nothing if he could not actually hit his foe with it. This made this form impractical against foes of any real speed. Instead of training to overcome this problem, Goku decides that simply mastering the basic Super Saiyan, feeling that it is the best way to fight and gain power. As such a result, this form is never used again.
    • Mastered Super Saiyan: After realizing the weaknesses inherent to the higher Super Saiyan grades, Goku concluded that mastery over the basic Super Saiyan form would be more beneficial. He used the remainder of his time chamber training learning to maintain Super Saiyan for extended periods. Gradually, he overcame the heightened aggression and uneasiness that accompanies this form to feel as natural as his base form, reducing the energy drain to nothing and increasing his endurance to achieve a max output for this form without drawbacks even in regular life. Ultimately, he is able to enter, maintain, and fight in this form for as long as he desires at its full potential with no loss in efficiency or performance. In the anime, with this mastery, during the Tournament of Power, Goku - having gone well-beyond his limits - was able to flash between base and Super Saiyan to defeat Jiren alongside Frieza despite his battered and exhausted state.
  • Super Saiyan 2: Goku achieved this form at some time after Cell's defeat while in the Other World. In this form, Goku gains some changes; his hair becomes spikier, his forehead has only three bangs over it, making his hair more defined than his other previous Super Saiyan forms. His muscles also become more defined, and his aura also generates electricity surrounding his body, while the aura grows markedly larger and more vibrant. Since gaining greater forms, Goku reserves this form for opponents he takes semi-seriously.
  • Super Saiyan 3: Goku's strongest form in the original manga and anime. Goku achieved this level after years of training in Other World, where he could put unlimited energy into this form. In this form, his hair reaches down to his thighs and his eyebrows vanish completely while making the forehead and eye ridges larger and more prominent. His muscle mass grows noticeable larger more defined while his eyes gain green irises. His aura also becomes rounder with larger electrical sparks. Goku first used this form against Innocent Buu during the Majin Buu Saga, where he had a slight advantage over the Majin. However, this form is extremely draining in terms of energy due to the living world having less energy to siphon. This made him tire fast and even cut Goku's time left on Earth from hours to a mere thirty minutes after using this form for a short time. When attempting to gather enough energy to defeat Kid Buu, he was unable to sustain it as he had not taken into account the strain overcoming his living body, and soon reverted to his base state. Altogether, these heavy disadvantages make it impractical to use this form out of the afterlife and even more while alive.
  • Super Saiyan God: The "Super Saiyan God" is the legend among legends of the warrior race, the Saiyans. The power of six good-hearted Saiyans must be infused for one of them to achieve this legendary form. As Shenron explains to the Dragon Team and company, a Super Saiyan God once appeared on Planet Vegeta to stop the evil Saiyans but he failed because of the form's time limit. The Namekians were aware of the Super Saiyan God and wrote of the method to achieve the form in their book of legends. When in this form, the Saiyan's general appearance has only slight differences: the most notable change is the slight pink skin tone (similar to the usage of Fury) and hair that is a shade of red. In this form, Goku possesses magenta-red hair while Vegeta possesses crimson red hair. The hair retains its natural style but becomes more refined (losing any stray hairs). The Saiyan's eyes become more detailed, and the irises become red (appearing as more relaxed even in battle until sufficiently angered). The overall body structure appears to become younger and thinner in frame and build, though this is not the case for the Future Warrior and Shallot, as their musculature stays the same in their Super Saiyan God forms. The aura of the Super Saiyan God resembles a raging fire. At the time of its debut, Super Saiyan God was "a being that surpasses everything". The power of this form is great enough to allow Goku to compete against the non-fully powered God of Destruction Beerus, who effortlessly defeated Super Saiyan 3 Goku, later the combined effort of Potential Unleashed Gohan (Potential Unleashed Super Saiyan Gohan in the original movie), Good Buu, Piccolo, Android 18, Tien Shinhan, and Gotenks (Super Saiyan in the movie, Super Saiyan 3 in the manga, and base form in the anime), and even a one-on-one assault from a enraged Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta.
  • Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan: Super Saiyan Blue, also known as Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, is an extremely powerful transformation and a transcension of the Super Saiyan God form. By undertaking godly ki training with a deity to wield the power of Super Saiyan God in one's natural state, a Saiyan may achieve a divinity-empowered base form, which allows them to use Super Saiyan Blue as the Super Saiyan version of Super Saiyan God and surpass it in power. While Super Saiyan God can be easily achieved through a specialized ritual, Super Saiyan Blue has no such shortcuts and must be extensively trained in order to be used correctly. In Goku's words, this form is what happens when a "Saiyan with the power of a Super Saiyan God further transforms himself into a Super Saiyan". Simply, it is the first Super Saiyan form combined with the power and godly ki of a Super Saiyan God turned cyan blue, due to a mortal absorbing it. The form can be obtained by a Saiyan who has become a Super Saiyan God and then retained the power; if the Saiyan utilizes the might of Super Saiyan God and then attempts to transform into a Super Saiyan, they will instead naturally evolve into a Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (Super Saiyan Blue or Super Saiyan Rosé, depending on the individual's status). Alternatively, as shown in the anime and by Goku Black in the manga, the Saiyan can evolve their standard Super Saiyan form into a Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan form if they increase its strength until it surpasses Super Saiyan God.
  • Fusion Dance: A short series of poses that are performed by two characters of equal power levels and roughly equal size. To correctly perform the Fusion, the fuses must strike the poses in a perfectly symmetrical image of one another. The result of a correctly performed Fusion Dance is a superior being whose power is multiplied several-fold over that of the individual fuses.

Other

Standard Tactics: Goku is a trained and gifted martial artists who has always kept the same tactics when entering battle. Goku will size up his opponent to see where their strengths and weaknesses lay, see how strong they are, and dish out various martial arts attacks and techniques to overwhelm his opponent. Goku will never immedieatly go all out from the start unless he fully needs to and will usually start with warm ups.

Weaknesses: Due to the nature of ki draining stamina and energy, Dragon Ball characters ki usage requires them to usually use their higher levels of energy in short bursts, allowing them to not be able to tank or die to far lower attacks such as attacks that have destroyed the planets of several worlds. His durability drops when off guard. Goku will not immedieatly go all out during a battle to size up his opponent and see how strong they are unless he openly needs too, making his guard low in some cases.

Note: This profile is based off the Goku that helps the Future Warrior and Xenoverse 2 Future Warrior in their final boss battles. Not Xeno Goku, the time patroller.

Note 2: Some clips used on the profile come from an anime or movie due to the fact that some abilities from ki use shouldn't function much differently from how they can in canon, along with this sometimes the anime version/video game version of a scene will be used for cleaner visuals. Toriyama himself directly overlooks scenes in the anime and movies and gives Toei the thumbs up[14].

Note 3: The speed scaling for PLs are taken with a grain of salt as there are noticeable times where someone's speed isn't equal to their power, such as Burter being faster then Recoome and Jeice, along with Super Saiyan Grade 3 Trunks having his power greatly increased but his speed decreased.

Note 4: The Xenoverse multiverse is listed as countless, while there are some who argue for infinite, it is shown that all time scrolls are stored within the Time Vault where it has a limit to how many can be stored. Thus showing there's a finite amount of timelines, and they are just born endlessly.
