Poo (プー Pū) is a character in MOTHER 2 (localized as EarthBound). As the Prince of Dalaam, he has undergone strict martial arts training, and is the third and final character to join Ness. He usually uses physical strength as his primary weapon, along with many powerful PSI spells. Poo undergoes a special diet, meaning he can't eat any regular food items and recovers few hit points from ingesting them. However, he can drink bottles of water to recover psychic points, and brain food lunches restore his HP more than they do any other character. Poo has a mirror ability, which allows him to become any enemy in the game during battles, with the notable exception of bosses.
Poo has very high physical stats and a wide variety of offensive and defensive PSI, but his drawback is that he can only equip items from the "of Kings" set. Poo cannot use any weapons except his fists and a weapon exclusive to his use, the Sword of Kings.
Poo is first introduced after Ness eats the Magic Cake, and he completes his training by meditation, which he maintains despite a spirit breaking various parts of his body. Poo then teleports to Summers and declares his allegiance to Ness. Poo is taken from the party after they come up from the exit of the Pyramid in Scaraba by the Star Master, who shows him the powerful PSI Starstorm α, which he uses to defeat Master Barf. Poo is a solemn dedicated warrior but is loyal to his friends and bringing peace to the world. Interestingly enough, Poo is very popular with the girls in Dalaam.
Status:Alive in MOTHER 2, Unknown in MOTHER 3 (Both the amount of time that passed between games and whether or not Poo would've been one of the passengers of the white ship is unknown)
Alignment:Lawful Good (Poo is dedicated to upholding his duty as prince of Dalaam, enduring his Mu training and agreeing to be completely subservient to Ness without hesitation when commanded by his master)
Protection Level:Cosmic Protector (Poo's purpose is to serve Ness and defend the world from Giygas, the universal cosmic destroyer)

Teleport: Allows teleportation to anywhere he has previously been.
Mirror: The user concentrates and turns into a targeted enemy. Does not work on some enemies.
Other
Standard Tactics: Poo is physically the strongest of the chosen four and generally fights with the Sword of Kings, though he has access to powerful offensive PSI techniques such as PK Starstorm to devastate enemies with. In addition to his offensive capabilities, Poo is an effective healer, having access to both Lifeup and Healing. His main weakness is that he has less Pp than both Ness and Paula, meaning he can't use his PSI skills as liberally and must rely on PSI Magnet more.

↑In MOTHER 2, Paula’s mom tells Ness not to worry about Paula, because “God is with her”. In EarthBound, this was localized to “She has a guardian angel, it seems.” It’s not a big deal, and it’s pretty well-known that NOA didn’t want any religious stuff in their games back then, so the change is to be expected. I think the guardian angel line sounds better, anyway. But yeah, there’s no way NOA would’ve let a mention of the Christian God fly in their games back then. But note that even though she mentions God in MOTHER 2, there are no real serious religious themes in the game. So don’t take this one change out of context and make a big deal out of it 😛
↑In MOTHER 2, during part of Paula’s first prayer, she says something like, “Please, God, if you’re there…” or possibly even, “Please, God, if you’re real…” In EarthBound, this religious reference got the smack-down and was trimmed to just, “Please…”
↑Listen well, Ness. I am about to tell you something so important that you should probably write this down. Ready? You are a chosen one. Your destiny is not yours alone… It is part of a universal “system”.
↑The truth of the universe travels the cosmos like a grain and like a wave and speaks to the universes known as man.

↑A miraculous stone that enables you to "concentrate" without using your own brain. This is accomplished just by your keeping this item. This is great because if you can't concentrate, you can't use PSI.
