Mortals receive the divine gift of intellect, the potential for wisdom, but they misuse it to destroy the beauty of creation. Mortals do not succumb to evil, they are the evil. They create it, and spread it with minds they shouldn't possess. How can we call ourselves gods if we watch this plight and do nothing to stop it?
Goku Black (ゴクウブラック Gokū Burakku), usually referred to as Black, is the main antagonist of the "Future" Trunks Saga of Dragon Ball Super. His true identity is Zamasu (ザマス Zamasu) from the unaltered main timeline within Universe 10. He is a former North Kai and Supreme Kai apprentice serving his former master Gowasu.
Goku Black visited Universe 6, went to the Super Dragon Balls from the unaltered main timeline within that universe, summoned Super Shenron from said timeline, wished to switch bodies with Goku from the unaltered main timeline within Universe 7, and Super Shenron granted Goku Black's wish. Goku Black sought to destroy all mortals alongside Future Zamasu. He was then given the name "Goku Black" by Future Bulma when he initially referred to himself as Goku.
Zamasu (ザマス Zamasu) is the Supreme Kai apprentice serving the Supreme Kai of Universe 10, Gowasu. He is also the former North Kai of Universe 10.
Future Zamasu (のザマス Mirai no Zamasu) is an alternate timeline counterpart of the Zamasu from Future Trunks' timeline. He is the secondary antagonist of the "Future" Trunks Saga. He is the former Supreme Kai apprentice of Universe 10, who became a Supreme Kai. This version of Zamasu is an ally to Goku Black (his past self from the original present timeline) and the two were the only gods left in that timeline. He along with Black worked together to wipe out all Mortals with Project Zero Mortals.

Intelligence:Genius (Black and Zamasu were capable of forming of plan to take over the universe, betraying Gowasu and teaming up with each other. As a Kai, Zamasu should be comparable to the other Kais. Black is capable of using Goku's fighting techniques and abilities. Just after fighting Goku, he was able to unlock his own Super Saiyan form, and learn new abilities as he kept fighting)
Time Ring: Retaining his godly ki as a Kai and wearing an earring of a Supreme Kai, Black is able to wield a Time Ring, which allows him to travel through time and even alternate realities. The ring also acts as a stabilizer, keeping his existence unaffected by changes in the past, even when Beerus killed his past self. He only wields this in the anime, while in the manga his partner Zamasu is the one who possess the Time Ring.
Potara Earrings: After killing Gowasu, Black took his former master's (Gowasu's) Potara earrings, allowing him to use the full capacities of a Supreme Kai. Upon meeting his future counterpart, Black gave him the right earring.
Notable Techniques
Immortality: The ability to remain unchanged by the passage of time, unable to die, and simply live forever. Obtained using the Super Dragon Balls. Due to his apparent immortality, Future Zamasu is only moderately unfazed by any injury, no matter how grievous. He is also apparently unaffected by energy attacks, as he took the full brunt of Future Trunks' Final Flash and Goku Black's Black Kamehameha without a scratch. However, he can still be defeated by sealing him away using sealing techniques like the Evil Containment Wave. He is also susceptible to being erased from existence by Zeno.
Regeneration: Thanks to his immortality, Future Zamasu heals any wound he may incur within seconds.
Healing: As a Supreme Kai attendant, Future Zamasu possessed the ability to rejuvenate anyone and restore them to full health instantly, even if they are on the brink of death.
Flight: Zamasu is capable of flight using his ki.
God Splitter: Future Zamasu's version of the Black Power Ball used by Goku Black. This variation is indigo in color and functions like its predecessor, and additionally can be used to block the opponent's ki blasts.
Shockwave: The ability to use invisible ki blasts to harm the opponent.
Exploding Wave: Zamasu creates an explosion from the ground.
Energy Blade: Future Zamasu concentrates ki around his hand to create a blade which he uses to slice at the opponents. Zamasu can use several variations of this technique.
God Split Cut: Future Zamasu concentrates ki around his hand and then uses it like a sword to slice opponents.
Heavenly Arrow: A variation where the blade can be extended somewhat or fired as a blast at long-range in rapid succession.
Instant Severance: This move was never used by Future Zamasu himself, but used by his present counterpart.
Ki Sense: Future Zamasu is able to sense the ki of other lifeforms. As a Core Person, Zamasu can naturally sense godly ki.
Telekinesis: Like the Supreme Kai of Universe 7, Future Zamasu is able to utilize telekinesis to hold down his foes. Used against Super Saiyan Goku in the manga, it is noted that Future Zamasu is so skilled with the ability that he could potentially freeze Super Saiyan God Goku.
Psycho Javelin: Using his telekinesis Future Zamasu picks up numerous objects and fires them at his opponent.
Taunt: Future Zamasu taunts his opponent in order to enrage them.
Flight: The ability to take flight through the manipulation of ki.
Ki Blast: The most basic form of energy attack. Black is shown to use ki blasts while terrorizing Future Trunks' timeline.
Ki Sense: The ability to sense ki and power levels.
Continuous Energy Bullet: Black used this technique against Trunks.
Black Power Ball: Black can create a golden colored Energy Ball with a core of black energy to attack the opponent. Once he fires it, the attack becomes completely golden with a black outline.
Divine Retribution: A more powerful version of the Black Power Ball in Goku Black's Super Saiyan Rosé state, he can either fire off the ki blast, or attack with a downward slash with his ki blade as a melee attack.
Continuous Black Power Ball: A rapid fire version of the technique, appearing as small golden ki blasts with black outline.
Human Extinction Attack: An aerial hailstorm-like energy barrage version of Continuous Black Power Ball.
Black Kamehameha: Black is shown to be able to use a black-colored version of the Kamehameha.

Binding Black Kamehameha: A combination attack with Future Zamasu used by Goku Black in his Super Saiyan Rosé form where Future Zamasu holds the opponent in place while Goku Black blasts them with a Super Black Kamehameha.
Spirit Control: An advanced Ki manipulation technique that allows its user to achieve a multitude of potent abilities through their ki.
Instant Transmission: Used by Black several times, in the manga in order to quickly get up close to Trunks and attack him and in the anime to avoid an attack from Goku.
Sudden Death Beam: Goku Black uses Instant Transmission to dodge attacks and get close to his opponent, then fires a point-blank Divine Retribution ki blast as a counterattack. This move is used by him in a brief clash with Goku.
Shockwave: After engraving Goku's power into his own being he is shown using this technique while testing his new abilities.
God Split Cut: Zamasu's signature attack, used by Zamasu after obtaining Goku's body and becoming Goku Black to kill the Son family. Appears as a Super Skill under the name Aura Slide in Xenoverse 2.
Alteration-type ki manipulation technique: A special ability used to extend his God Split Cut into various shapes as well as to change its properties. Only seen used in his Super Saiyan Rosé state.
Violent Fierce God Slicer: After further refining his power, Black is able to use an enhanced version of the technique, he emits a blade of violet energy from his hand to slash and stab his opponent. It seems to be enhanced by the form's ki aura. In the manga, Black used this technique in his base form to mortally wound his former master, Gowasu.
God Slicer: A rush attack used against Goku by Black in his Super Saiyan Rosé form where he chases the opponent while firing ki blasts at them, then attempts to impale them with his Violent Fierce God Slicer.
Azure Dragon Sword Model Energy Blade: An improved Violent Fierce God Slicer gained through powering up from being damaged by an enraged Goku in the anime.
Divine Lasso: In Super Saiyan Rosé form, Black can shoot out multiple energy javelins from his blade that first pierce the target and then explode.
Sickle of Sorrow: A more powerful version of the Violent Fierce God Slicer technique, attained by Goku Black after he turned his anger into power in the anime. It became capable of opening a large rift in the universe to an unknown place or time which would release an evil energy.
The Work of the Gods: The rift created by Goku Black using the Sickle of Sorrow.
Mass Replication: From the energy of the rift, Black is able to form many clones of himself known as Shadows. The Shadows are unstable and if they were hit, they would disperse, but can immediately reform themselves after. They appear to have the same physical might as Black himself. The Shadows and the rift dissipate once Black goes too far away.
God Binding Light Bullet: Goku Black throws his opponent around using energy and then goes to finish them off with an energy sphere.
Shattering God Slicer: The user kicks their opponent and slashes them multiple times with an Energy Blade.
Spirit Blade: A blade made of ki, can stab through users like an actual sword.
Saiyan Power: Black is capable of gaining power boosts once recovering from harm caused by his enemies like other Saiyans. In the anime this ability appears more advanced than an ordinary Saiyans. Every single time Goku Black experiences pain, his power increases. Even minor injuries and moments of pain are able to cause noticeable boosts in his power. Even more, he appears able to recover from injuries much faster than normal Saiyans. In the manga, Goku Black works in the normal nature, as only recovering from more serious injuries will boost his power, to which he also needed aid from Future Zamasu healing him before he could return to battle. Each time he uses this power up it allows his "god mind and Saiyan body" to tie further together, first allowing him to access his standard Super Saiyan form before his power finally surpassed Super Saiyan God, evolving his standard Super Saiyan form into his Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan form, Super Saiyan Rosé.
Mimicry: In the anime, as an extension of his newfound Saiyan biology, Black is also capable of imitating anything that he learns from his opponent in battle to add to his skill and versatility in combat. During his first fight against Goku, "engraved the battle memories" on his body, and thus enabled him to refine his fighting style to become more like Goku's. This allowed him to use the Saiyan body to its fullest efficiency. He also applied a similar method when fighting Vegeta, recognizing anger as source of power for Saiyans and mimicking that to further increase his power.
Thunder Shock Surprise: The user shoots a lightning blast towards the target using both hands and traps the opponent within an electric field.
Telekinesis: Like Shin and Future Zamasu, Black is able to utilize telekinesis to hold down his foes.

Super Saiyan Rosé: Goku Black possesses the ability to become a truly divine Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (in most media) or his own divine version of the first Super Saiyan form (in the Dragon Ball Super anime, as well as the Dragon Ball Fusions video game). In this form, he is able to augment his techniques into more elaborate variations. In the anime, Black stated that he fully mastered Goku's power to be able to achieve Super Saiyan Rosé. As this form is the divine version of the first Super Saiyan form in the Dragon Ball Super anime, Goku Black transforms into the first, standard Super Saiyan form to achieve the Super Saiyan Rosé form.
Other
Standard Tactics: Both Zamasu and Black prefer using their God Split Cut to stab the opponent and kill them. They will then use their various ki attacks, and if required, they use the Potara to become Fusion Zamasu.
Weaknesses: Due to the nature of ki draining stamina and energy, Dragon Ball characters ki usage requires them to usually use their higher levels of energy in short bursts, allowing them to not be able to tank or die to far lower attacks such as attacks that havedestroyed theplanets of several worlds. Their durability can drop if their guard is down. If Zamasu fuses with a mortal, it will make his body become unstable and lose his immortality[35].
Note 2: The speed scaling for PLs are taken with a grain of salt as there are noticeable times where someone's speed isn't equal to their power, such as Burter being faster then Recoome and Jeice, along with Super Saiyan Grade 3 Trunks having his power greatly increased but his speed decreased.
↑The Kaiōshin possess the power of “creation”, which provides stars/planets and life-forms the impetus to be born. The one who possesses the opposing power, and authority, of “destruction”, is the God of Destruction. Through the repetition of destruction of stars/planets continually increasing in numbers, and the birth of new stars/planets, the balance of the entire universe is maintained.
