Where's Garamoth? I thought I got rid of him. Oh well, never mind. This time I'll trash him for good.
~ Kid Dracula upon hearing of Garamoth's return

Background

Kid Dracula is a parody character that serves as Dracula's son, being heavily likely to be Alucard. As stated in the documentation for the games he features in, Kid Dracula is 10,009 years old and described as the son of the "same Dracula from Akumajō Densetsu". He serves as the main protagonist and playable character in both Kid Dracula for the Famicom and Kid Dracula for the Game Boy.

In Castlevania Judgment, a reference is made to the Time Reaper being sent from 10,000 years in the future, which is considered a nod to Kid Dracula's established age. Garamoth's japanese translation for his Symphony of the Night description also notes he comes from 10,000 years in the future.

Personality

  • Playfulness and Confidence: Kid Dracula exudes a playful and mischievous personality, embracing a lighthearted and humorous approach to challenges. Unlike the brooding demeanor typical of the Castlevania series, Kid Dracula often treats serious situations with a carefree attitude.
  • Youthful Exuberance and Humor: Despite being 10,009 years old, Kid Dracula retains a youthful and exuberant outlook, often engaging in whimsical behavior and poking fun at his adversaries.

Evil energy can create barriers blocking one until they defeat all enemies[310]), Fire Manipulation (Can cause fire across an entire room just from causing a chandelier with candles to fall, setting everything, even people on fire[311]), Portal Manipulation & Battlefield Removal (Application Based; The castle can create portals that send one to another dimension, where time is stopped[312]. Brought a wandering merchant in through swallowing him into a dense fog[313]. The castle has magic energies that seal the gateway to hell[314]), Summoning & Glyph Creation (The Castle can summon creatures of chaos to spawn and attack whoever enters a room through enemies spawning from glyphs[315]. The castle can make glyphs that teleport one outside of the castle by standing over it[316]. A lot of these creatures are summoned from Hell[317]), Water Manipulation (The Casles Waters seem to be very hazardous, as it instantly kills enemies upon touching them[318]), Spatial Manipulation (The castle can shift the room to make it where Trevor needs to escape upwards that will instantly kill him if it reaches him[319]. The castle can make blocks disappear and re-appear, making it diffuclt for one to traverse around the castle[320]. The Castle made it where the stairway Soma was walking up with Mina went longer hen usual, trying to keep Soma from going to the Shrine and instead bringing him to the castle[321]), Sense Manipulation (Caused Soma's senses to dim even entering the chaotic darkness near the Castle[322]), Weather Manipulation & Electricity Manipulation (The Castle is the reason for a massive cloud that covered the entire sky[323]. Can conjure thunderstorms around itself that can summon enemies during it's flashes of lightning[324]. Can summon enemies through the lightning bolts it makes[325]), Dark Matter Manipulation (The castle contains dark matter within it that beings can use for weapon creation), Abstract Manipulation & Hell Manipulation (The castle can create a core of evil made from hatred, envy, anger and other dark emotions[326]).

Resistance to Time Stop (Areas in the Castle are unaffected by time being stopped, and blocks and objects will still fall[327]. Noted that the stop watch has no effect on moving platforms in the castle[328]. Christopher stopping time on an elevator does not stop the elevator from moving[329], machinery still moves along[330], and floating objects still float[331]. With time in Castlevania being so potent that not even eternity can withstand time[332], along with even artificial life being subject to the laws of time[333])

Equipment

Notable Techniques

Magic Bullet

Kid Dracula's primary attack involves hurling a fireball directly ahead from his hand. This spell can be charged to unleash a larger and more potent fireball, which causes defeated enemies to drop Coins. These Coins can be used to play minigames and earn extra lives between levels. This spell appears to be a simpler form of Hellfire.

Homing Attack

Kid Dracula casts five fireball-like projectiles that spread out initially before homing in on their targets.

Giant Bat Bomb

Kid Dracula launches a medium-sized projectile that travels straight ahead and can also be used to destroy walls.

Bat Form

By transforming into a bat, Kid Dracula gains the ability to fly freely through the air for a limited time.

Ice Ball

Kid Dracula hurls an ice ball that freezes enemies and halts projectiles upon contact.

Upside Down

This ability allows Kid Dracula to invert gravity, enabling him to walk upside down on ceilings. It is considered a precursor to the High Jump ability.

Bat Attack

Kid Dracula summons three bats that fly a short distance forward, then rise in an arc and return to him.

Bat Umbrella

Using an umbrella as a shield, Kid Dracula can block enemy projectiles. By adjusting its position, he can block projectiles from both high and low angles.

Free Flight

In the Parodius games, both Dracula-kun and Kid-D can fly freely in their humanoid forms without any time or movement restrictions.

Other

Standard Tactics: Kid Dracula uses his magic spells in combat, normally using the one that best suits the situation. His most prominent one being him shooting out fireballs.

Several hundred years have passed with battles with the [dark lord] Dracula.
When suddenly, an end to it all has been foretold. 1999----- Thanks to the power of a clan in Japan, Dracula’s castle was sealed inside a [solar eclipse] to disappear forever.
However, in this world, there is no such thing as forever. [They] had understood that Dracula’s regeneration cycle ought to have ended. Indeed, people have prepared for this but will it still exist? The castle is the symbol of the chaos within humans and as long as people exist, it will not be completely sealed.

  127. WN: Last question. Why does Dracula keep putting meat inside the walls of his castle?

KI: You should ask, why do they eat it! I've thought about this stuff.
I've actually thought about the candles. The candles are people's souls that were taken by Death or by the vampires. In Japan there are candles that represent life. So, when you release the souls from the candles by whipping them, they give you a "thank you" present. Thank-you hearts, or thank-you holy water.
The meat, I have no idea.

  222. Akumajo Dracula: Kabuchi no Tsuisoukyoku Novel “I had said it before. I do not intend to bind the world with chaos.”
“…… If so, why did you take power away from the crack in the eclipse’s seal? If you just intend to imitate like a monkey, isn’t your own power enough?”
Those were the emotionless words of Death.
In response, Olrox laughed his bold answer.
“As I’ve said, I would equally gain control over the human world and the source of Dracula’s power, chaos. I do not intend to obey someone else’s mind aside from my own. That includes you who were born out of chaos.”
    “……”
“You should be glad though to know yourself. Just by stealing power, my shameful monotonous time is over…… Even before Alucard appeared, just because I showed up and declared war on him.”
Olrox’s voice was mixed with a tinge of thin delight. He respectfully bowed to Death who completely killed his emotions.
“I would end the reincarnation cycle of this demon castle. I who understood and was spun out of the stains of chaos, swear to rob that power with my hands. Now, yield.”
With Death’s reply, an explosive murderous intent rose.
Two bronze colored scythes much larger than usual appeared; it advanced to the space in between the two men with an intention to cut off Olrox’s head.
    Kill the distance-----
    Kill the sound-----
    Just, faster, soon, die.
It can be seen that the blades have certainly caught Olrox’s neck, but----- that is only an after image and the vampire is already at Death’s back.
    “……die.”
That was said by the enemy who called on his servants.
From the surrounding space, a group of purple bats rose, passed by Olrox’s arm with the speed of a bullet, attacking Death. However, Death did not show any gesture of avoiding them. He simply faced Olrox and sprayed out numerous scythes.
The bats and scythes cancelled each other out and the entire dance hall sparkled with blood."

    “Only…… protect…… you……-----“
When he said those words he must say, the man’s soul already left his body-----becoming one of the floating spirits that wander the halls of the castle.
    However-----
    Fate did not allow it.
For those people who are involved with the demon castle, even the loneliness of death seemed half hearted-----
The man’s soul is pierced by a small scythe that flew in from somewhere. That scythe did not exist physically. It was a diabolic blade created by some magic and possessed a strong soul."

  297. Akumajo Dracula: Kabuchi no Tsuisoukyoku "From the time they stepped into the mountains, Curtis and Michelle felt malicious intent in the air. Even though it is still far away, their bodies seemed to squeal [run away].
There was definitely no room for doubt. It is certain that the [castle] exists at the back of the mountains. The church’s greatest vampire hunter, Julius Belmont must be contacted. However, the conversation jumped into the matter of the disappearance of several village children."
  298. Akumajo Dracula: Kabuchi no Tsuisoukyoku "A drawbridge suspended from the main gate is seemingly welcoming Michelle’s arrival.
And her body was telling her [do not go] as her leg muscles were petrified like stone."

  306. Akumajo Dracula: Kabuchi no Tsuisoukyoku "“Uh……aa……Mi……chelle……”
That really is no doubt an obsession.
The youth had more than 28 holes penetrating his limbs and body. His heart is already starting to fail and he is desperately trying to say something amidst the darkness.
