Where's Garamoth? I thought I got rid of him. Oh well, never mind. This time I'll trash him for good.
~ Kid Dracula upon hearing of Garamoth's return

Background

Kid Dracula is a parody character that serves as Dracula's son, being heavily likely to be Alucard. As stated in the documentation for the games he features in, Kid Dracula is 10,009 years old and described as the son of the "same Dracula from Akumajō Densetsu". He serves as the main protagonist and playable character in both Kid Dracula for the Famicom and Kid Dracula for the Game Boy.

In Castlevania Judgment, a reference is made to the Time Reaper being sent from 10,000 years in the future, which is considered a nod to Kid Dracula's established age. Garamoth's japanese translation for his Symphony of the Night description also notes he comes from 10,000 years in the future.

Personality

  • Playfulness and Confidence: Kid Dracula exudes a playful and mischievous personality, embracing a lighthearted and humorous approach to challenges. Unlike the brooding demeanor typical of the Castlevania series, Kid Dracula often treats serious situations with a carefree attitude.
  • Youthful Exuberance and Humor: Despite being 10,009 years old, Kid Dracula retains a youthful and exuberant outlook, often engaging in whimsical behavior and poking fun at his adversaries.

Dracula's evil aura is far greater then the fake Dracula he sent to fight Reinhardt and Carrie[310]. Dark Lord Soma has a thick darkness and suffocating evil due to having Dracula's aura[311]. Dracula has a natural aura of Darkness around him[312]), Immortality (Ageless; Mathias through absorbing Walter's soul denied God's decree of limited life and lives for eternity[313]. Life and Death Immunity; Death serves Dracula with unfailing loyalty[314], where Death is noted to govern the fate of death[315], being noted to have the power to govern the end of all living things[316], and can use his scythes to kill abstractions such as distance and sound[317]. Appeared before Simon Belmont as a flock of bats[337]. Mathias can transform into a bat[338]. Can transform into a werewolf[339]. Dracula used what remained of his magical powers to transform his body into mist after Christopher defeated him[340]. Can turn into a beast that moves so fast it catches on fire[341]. Body Morphing; Can morph his body to sprouted wings, allowing him to fly with that, asides from his occassional levitation[342]. Through this end he can gather the magic needed to revive through negative human emotions[352]. Repeated Resurrection, Resurrection of the Deceased; Through absorbing human blood, even on his corpse, he can come back to life[353]. The battle between Desmond Belmont and Rohan Krause was enough to revive Dracula[354]. Dracula has also shown to be able to resurrect from merely a single drop of blood hitting his body[355]. Resurrection of Multiple Targets, Resurrection of the Deceased; Dracula revived dark gods with his powers[356]), Reality Warping (Passive; Merely through transforming Dracula warped the very background of his castle[357]. Brings down pillars of light that he uses to teleport around[361]. Causes a beam of light to appear that he can teleport around with[362]. Dracula's death causes the light beam to come across the entire castle and teleport it away[363]. He can use his light pillar teleportation technique as a means to trick his opponent by creating several, with him only appearing out of one[364]. Teleported to Shaft after sensing a connection Anette had with the Belmont family[365]), Duplication (Can create four giant heads of his to attack with[366]. Dracula can make a figment of his magic that is a re-enactment of memories stored within his powers[367]), Empowerment (Dracula can[368] call upon[369] the Power of[370] Darkness to gain[371] a new form that[372] greatly upgrades all of his statistics[373]), Weapon Creation & Weapon Control (Dracula can create knives that he can freely control to throw at Simon[374]), Non-Standard Interaction (Dark Matter Interaction; Dracula has objects such as dark matter in his castle meaning he can interact with them, which barely interacts with ordinary matter[375]), Possession (Can put his soul within a painting and bring it to life to use as an attack[376]. Noted by Richter to get stronger every reincarnation[386]), Statistics Boost (The more Dracula's hatred increases, the more the power of Chaos empowers him[387]), Statistics Reduction (It's noted that every 100 years[388] the forces of Good mysteriously become weak and the forces of Evil gain a foothold into the world[389]. One that wears Dracula's clothes will have their luck reduced[390], however it is noted by Simon that Dracula grows stronger ecah time he revives), Telekinesis (Was telekinetically lifting Simon's wife into the air with the affect breaking once he died[391]. Could telekinetically lift the blocks around in his boss fight[392]), Battlefield Removal (Forced Teleportation; Can teleport other targets, such as teleporting Simon's wife to his arms[393]. Noted that Dracula can grant humans immortality, with The Order attempting to resurrect Dracula in order to receive greater power and eternal life[419]. Devil Forging has one to giving it a shape and soul, giving it a shell and applying stable power to the shell so the mass of energy without conscious can be transformed into a living devil[471]), Blood Manipulation (Can spit out blood as an attack[472]. Can create spheres of blood from his attacks[473]. Causes an entire blood rain to fall, with over hundreds of droplets, where if even one hits, it will deal damage[474]), Soul Manipulation (Dracula can use soul steal, to steal one's soul, absorbing their entire existence within him[475]. Can disconnect his soul from his body[476]. God is unable to help the souls of those terminated by Dracula's hand[477]), Animal Manipulation (Can shoot bats out of his mouth[478]. Can shoot out three bats to attack[479]. Sends out bats to attack for him[480]), Mind Manipulation (Dracula put Soleil Belmont under his vampire spell[481]. The suppressed desires of Maxim Kischine caused another spirit to be created due to him holding the remains of Dracula[482]. Dracula's remains alone are enough to consume their mind, even being noted by Barlowe that dominus devours the mind[483]. Not even the sacred blood of the Belmont Clan was enough to keep Albus from subcumming to the effects of the Dominus[484]), Memory Manipulation (Accepting the Dominus interferes with one's memories and emotions[485]. Dominus was the source that took Shanoa's memories[486]. Dracula's magic showed Hector visions of his past with a form of his child self trying to convince him to become a devil and promising to be friends if he does so[487]), Empathic Manipulation (Accepting the Dominus interferes with one's memories and emotions, stripping Shanoa of all of her emotions to the point that she could not shed a tear for Albus despite everything he did for her[488]), Fear Manipulation (Dracula's mere rib bone is enough to make[489] an ordinary hero feel like a spineless coward[490]), Death Manipulation (Metaphysical; One attempting to use the Dominus will cost them their life, Shanoa using it nearly killed her only being saved by Albus taking her place and having his soul fade away[491]), Weather Manipulation & Electricity Manipulation (Caused dark clouds to appear and came from a bolt of lightning[492]. Sent out a massive electricity wave[496]. Creates massive electricity orbs from his gylphs[497]. Summoned electricity from his hand that went across a small area[498]. Electricity formed around him while he transformed into his adult state[499]. Easily pushed Cornell back with the electricity field around him[500]), Curse Manipulation (Dracula placed a curse on[501] Simon after Simon defeated him, one that could only be undone[502] by finding the five body parts of Dracula, resurrecting him and then defeating him[503], though if Simon takes too long he will die from the curse regardless of killing Dracula[504]. The Curse also weakened Simon to where he was starting off with a leather whip, which is a weaker form the whip takes for inexperienced users[505]. After being defeated by Trevor and his friends, Dracula left a demonic curse that enshrouded all of Europe in misery and torment[506], this curse keeps festering even if Dracula dies, where Hector needed to put all of his life-force and energy into dispelling the curse, greatly tiring him to the point that he was ready to die in the collapse of the Castle if Julia did not come rescue him[507]. Along with this, even with the curse being removed, the curse was far too deep within people, making its mark hard to leave them, with some characters having it where only death could erase the curse[508]), Disease Manipulation (The demonic curse caused a hideous plague and dire famine[509]), Morality Manipulation (The demonic curse had people's hearts turn black and murderous, where the weak were slain without pity[510]. The curse gave Hector an immense thirst for vegeance, attempting to make him kill Isaac so that he could possess his body[511]. Dracula can cloud one's senses in darkness, having the evil eat away at their souls[512]), Madness Manipulation (Barlowe was driven made by the power of Dominus, making him willing to give his life to resurrect Dracula[513]. The gylphs also summon enemies to attack[517]), Explosion Manipulation (Creates massive explosions from his glyphs[518]. Shanoa with the dominus is using a power of Dracula's[524], where Aeon notes that power is governed by time[525]. With time in Castlevania being so potent that not even eternity can withstand time[526], along with even artificial life being subject to the laws of time[527]), Text Manipulation & Plot Manipulation (Passive; Vital Souls are all just a part of Dracula's powers[528], where is noted by Lucy that the "vital soul" of a monster is the cause of the grimoire chaos[529] where creatures of the night's dark powers allowed them to rewrite the Grimoires to strengthen their dark powers greatly[530], along with their vital souls causing the grimoires contents to be overwritten changing history to things such as Jonathan Morris is now at a disadvantage in battle[531], or Charlotte fading from existence due to them messing with the history of the Grimoires[532], Maria starting to fade because Richter's history is being rewritten[533], where if the contents of the book change the creatures magic will keep growing and eventually overflow into reality, causing the grimoire to fall into chaos and even more monsters materializing into the real world[534]. The text alterations also make the monsters stronger[535]. With the real world and world of grimoires being one and the same[536], compared to the like of Brauner's painting worlds that are quantum multi-layered spaces requiring understandings of theories such as "Curse Amplification"[537]. Death was going to use Dracula's magic to rewrite Dracula's defeat to Trevor making it where Dracula defeats Trevor Belmont instead where Dracula would go on living in the rewritten grimoire with each grimoire being its own world and the grimoires influence extends into reality[538]), Law Manipulation (Vital Souls are all just a part of Dracula's powers[539], which alter grimoires, which do not adhere to the laws of reality[540]), Power Modification (Vital Souls are all just a part of Dracula's powers[541], which the vital souls cause alterations of the Grimoire that can greatly limit the powers of those far stronger than them, such as Jonathan Morris' power being limited due to the alterations[542]. The Chaos of the Grimoire destabilized the magic of the others[543]).

Dracula's mere ribs protects from the powers of wickedness[549]), Holy Fire Manipulation (Can take holy water hitting him, with it only momentarily having him cry out in pain, before emerging just fine[550]), Curse Manipulation (Dracula's mere heart clears curses[551]), Time Manipulation (Noted that the stop watch has no effect on moving platforms in the castle and most bosses[552]. With time in Castlevania being so potent that not even eternity can withstand time[553], along with even artificial life being subject to the laws of time[554]), Sealing (Dracula's power allowed Soma to easily repel away a multi-layered seal called aurora a multilayered rectangular barrier ritual that was supposed to isolate Soma and then remove Dracula's powers from him[555]. Even while greatly weakened, when the Aurora was used on Dracula, he greatly resisted it, requiring two master magicians to affect him[556]. Dracula's power is so great that very few magical items can truly hold his magic within a seal, requiring the usage of an entire library worth of grimoires in order to truly seal away just his magic alone[557]. The only reason Brauner was able to seal away Dracula was due to him not reviving completely otherwise his seals would be easily broken by Dracula's power[558]), Fire Manipulation (Dracula is naturally strongly resistant to fire based attacks[559]), Electricity Manipulation (Dracula is naturally strongly resistant to thunder based attacks[560]), Poison Manipulation (Dracula is naturally immune to poison based attacks[561]), Spatial Manipulation (Brauner using Dracula's power spatially segregated Dracula from the castle[562]), Power Modification, Information Manipulation, Text Manipulation & Plot Manipulation (Dracula's magic and powers have no limits posed on it from the grimoires where heroes summoned from the catalogue are unable to stray too far from its contents and have limited actions they can do having summoned heroes have their powers greatly limited from their true strength[563]), Fate Manipulation & Death Manipulation (Death serves Dracula with unfailing loyalty[564], where Death is noted to govern the fate of death[565], being noted to have the power to govern the end of all living things[566], and can use his scythes to kill abstractions such as distance and sound[567]. Death decides who lives and who dies[568]), Immortality Negation (The Vampire Killer is unable to strip Dracula of his immortality whereas the Vampire Killer can render immortal skeleton death gods like Death, mortal, having him bleed from attacks, giving him mortality as shown when Death dies to his own scythe cutting off his head and having blood spurt out, something not possible as a skeleton[569], and can kill Death to the point that he requires Mathias to survive in order for him to rise from the dead[570])

The castle uses magic to do things like re-animate corpses[572], along with skeletons[573]), Reality Warping (The Castle does not work on standard logic, where changing rooms can have one view a completely different background[574], such as room with a blue sky that is reflecting up and downwards and having the clouds rotate at a fast speed[575]), Transmutation (Beings that come near are subject to the castle's influence, such as a local barnyard owl which was mutated just from flying near it[576]), Save and Load (The castles magic has rooms where one can sit on a chair and is enveloped in the angelic wings of light, allowing them to save their progress[577], with these chairs being acknowledged in rooms in the castle with a description[578]), Possession (The castle possesses objects with its magic, such as a ouija table[579]), Bestowal (The castle enables one to keep their mind after dying, becoming a ghost[580]), Mind Bestowal (The castle can bestow a mind through its magic[581]), Soul Bestowal (The castle can bestow a soul through its magic[582]. The castle has blocks that float and levitate up and downards to crush opponents or send them into spikes[591]), Immersion (Can bring paintings to life and have them attack[592]), Mimicry (Physiology Mimicry; The castle contains mirror worlds where perfect clones of oneself can fight[593]. The Castle can also do this without mirror worlds[594], where they make a perfect copy that have all of their moves and sub-weapons, and can freely switch to a different person to copy their abilities[595]), Teleportation (The castle has access to the teleporter seat, the seat of a device that allows instant movement across Valachia[596]. The Castle corrupts the minds of those who enter it, such as making Maxim Kischine feel strange ever since coming to it[606]. It also corrupted the mind of Hugh turning him against Nathan with Nathan noting he's being controlled by Dracula[607]. The castle increases one's dark desires, allowing Dracula to easily control them[608]. The magic of Dracula's power that empowers the owl enemy also spurs it to violence[609]), Madness Manipulation (The Castle warped Gergoth, a once-gentle beast and drove it mad[610]), Elemental Manipulation & Chaos Manipulation (The castle infuses some enemies with chaos, giving it all elemental properties[611]), Blood Manipulation (The casle imbues blood all over a skeleton, making them always return to life no matter what damage is done to them[612]. The Castle has areas where its blood can form new enemies[613]), Acid Manipulation (The castle has areas of acid rain falling[614]), Size Manipulation (Magically enlarged a toad through the use of demonic baptism[615]), Fear Manipulation (Even while far away, Curtis and Michelle felt malicious intent from the castle where their bodies seemed to squeal "run away"[616]. Michelle even being at the entrance to the castle had her body telling her to not go in and her leg muscles being petrified like stone[617]), Perception Manipulation (The Castle is able to warp the users perceptions, making a room where it is split into three parts that do not operate under standard spatiality and directionality[618]), Poison Manipulation (The very waters of the castle are poisonous, killing one in an instant if they fall into it[619]), Gravity Manipulation (The castle has rooms with reverse gravity[620]), Curse Manipulation (The Curse status that spirits inflict[621] comes from them absorbing the magic power around the castle. A lot of these creatures are summoned from Hell[636]), Water Manipulation (The Casles Waters seem to be very hazardous, as it instantly kills enemies upon touching them[637]), Spatial Manipulation (The castle can shift the room to make it where Trevor needs to escape upwards that will instantly kill him if it reaches him[638]. The castle can make blocks disappear and re-appear, making it difficult for one to traverse around the castle[639]. The Castle made it, where the stairway Soma was walking up with Mina, went longer hen usual, trying to keep Soma from going to the Shrine and instead bringing him to the castle[640]), Sense Manipulation (Caused Soma's senses to dim even entering the chaotic darkness near the Castle[641]), Weather Manipulation & Electricity Manipulation (The Castle is the reason for a massive cloud that covered the entire sky[642]. Can conjure thunderstorms around itself that can summon enemies during it's flashes of lightning[643]. Can summon enemies through the lightning bolts it makes[644]), Dark Matter Manipulation (The castle contains dark matter within it that beings can use for weapon creation), Abstract Manipulation & Hell Manipulation (The castle can create a core of evil made from hatred, envy, anger and other dark emotions[645]), Text Manipulation & Plot Manipulation (The vital souls are noted to be apart of the Castle's power[646], where is noted by Lucy that the "vital soul" of a monster is the cause of the grimoire chaos[647] where creatures of the night's dark powers allowed them to rewrite the Grimoires to strengthen their dark powers greatly[648], along with their vital souls causing the grimoires contents to be overwritten changing history to things such as Jonathan Morris is now at a disadvantage in battle[649], or Charlotte fading from existence due to them messing with the history of the Grimoires[650], Maria starting to fade because Richter's history is being rewritten[651], where if the contents of the book change the creatures magic will keep growing and eventually overflow into reality, causing the grimoire to fall into chaos and even more monsters materializing into the real world[652]. The text alterations also make the monsters stronger[653]. With the real world and world of grimoires being one and the same[654], compared to the like of Brauner's painting worlds that are quantum multi-layered spaces requiring understandings of theories such as "Curse Amplification"[655]. Death was going to use Dracula's magic to rewrite Dracula's defeat to Trevor making it where Dracula defeats Trevor Belmont instead where Dracula would go on living in the rewritten grimoire with each grimoire being its own world and the grimoires influence extends into reality[656]), Law Manipulation (The vital souls are noted to be apart of the Castle's power[657], which alter grimoires, which do not adhere to the laws of reality[658]), Power Modification (The vital souls are noted to be apart of the Castle's power[659], which the vital souls cause alterations of the Grimoire that can greatly limit the powers of those far stronger than them, such as Jonathan Morris' power being limited due to the alterations[660]. The Chaos of the Grimoire destabilized the magic of the others[661]).

Resistance to Time Stop (Areas in the Castle are unaffected by time being stopped, and blocks and objects will still fall[662]. Noted that the stop watch has no effect on moving platforms in the castle[663]. Christopher stopping time on an elevator does not stop the elevator from moving[664], machinery still moves along[665], and floating objects still float[666]. With time in Castlevania being so potent that not even eternity can withstand time[667], along with even artificial life being subject to the laws of time[668])

Equipment

Notable Techniques

Standard Vampire Abilities

  • Blood Draining: Vampires can bite and drink the blood of their victims. Blood acts as a source of energy and life for vampires and creatures of the night, an example of this being Red Skeletons who endlessly[671] regenerate[672], from any kind[673] of damage due to it absorbing blood[674].
  • Transformation: Vampires are able to turn into bats, wolves, fog, and other sorts of creatures as they please.
  • Super Strength: Vampires are incredibly superhumanly strong, even for the average creature of the night, being noted to be stronger than even Werewolves.
  • Super Speed: Vampires can move incredibly fast, to where all of them leave behind light projections due to how fast they're moving, while they can control their speeds even to approach speeds such as sound. They are normally beyond even other creatures in the castle such as the White Demon who moves at the speed of light at top speed.

Magic Bullet

Kid Dracula's primary attack involves hurling a fireball directly ahead from his hand. This spell can be charged to unleash a larger and more potent fireball, which causes defeated enemies to drop Coins. These Coins can be used to play minigames and earn extra lives between levels. This spell appears to be a simpler form of Hellfire.

Homing Attack

Kid Dracula casts five fireball-like projectiles that spread out initially before homing in on their targets.

Giant Bat Bomb

Kid Dracula launches a medium-sized projectile that travels straight ahead and can also be used to destroy walls.

Bat Form

By transforming into a bat, Kid Dracula gains the ability to fly freely through the air for a limited time.

Ice Ball

Kid Dracula hurls an ice ball that freezes enemies and halts projectiles upon contact.

Upside Down

This ability allows Kid Dracula to invert gravity, enabling him to walk upside down on ceilings. It is considered a precursor to the High Jump ability.

Bat Attack

Kid Dracula summons three bats that fly a short distance forward, then rise in an arc and return to him.

Bat Umbrella

Using an umbrella as a shield, Kid Dracula can block enemy projectiles. By adjusting its position, he can block projectiles from both high and low angles.

Free Flight

In the Parodius games, both Dracula-kun and Kid-D can fly freely in their humanoid forms without any time or movement restrictions.

Other

Standard Tactics: Kid Dracula uses his magic spells in combat, normally using the one that best suits the situation. His most prominent one being him shooting out fireballs.

Several hundred years have passed with battles with the [dark lord] Dracula.
When suddenly, an end to it all has been foretold. 1999----- Thanks to the power of a clan in Japan, Dracula’s castle was sealed inside a [solar eclipse] to disappear forever.
However, in this world, there is no such thing as forever. [They] had understood that Dracula’s regeneration cycle ought to have ended. Indeed, people have prepared for this but will it still exist? The castle is the symbol of the chaos within humans and as long as people exist, it will not be completely sealed.

  129. WN: Last question. Why does Dracula keep putting meat inside the walls of his castle?

KI: You should ask, why do they eat it! I've thought about this stuff.
I've actually thought about the candles. The candles are people's souls that were taken by Death or by the vampires. In Japan there are candles that represent life. So, when you release the souls from the candles by whipping them, they give you a "thank you" present. Thank-you hearts, or thank-you holy water.
The meat, I have no idea.

  236. Akumajo Dracula: Kabuchi no Tsuisoukyoku Novel “I had said it before. I do not intend to bind the world with chaos.”
“…… If so, why did you take power away from the crack in the eclipse’s seal? If you just intend to imitate like a monkey, isn’t your own power enough?”
Those were the emotionless words of Death.
In response, Olrox laughed his bold answer.
“As I’ve said, I would equally gain control over the human world and the source of Dracula’s power, chaos. I do not intend to obey someone else’s mind aside from my own. That includes you who were born out of chaos.”
    “……”
“You should be glad though to know yourself. Just by stealing power, my shameful monotonous time is over…… Even before Alucard appeared, just because I showed up and declared war on him.”
Olrox’s voice was mixed with a tinge of thin delight. He respectfully bowed to Death who completely killed his emotions.
“I would end the reincarnation cycle of this demon castle. I who understood and was spun out of the stains of chaos, swear to rob that power with my hands. Now, yield.”
With Death’s reply, an explosive murderous intent rose.
Two bronze colored scythes much larger than usual appeared; it advanced to the space in between the two men with an intention to cut off Olrox’s head.
    Kill the distance-----
    Kill the sound-----
    Just, faster, soon, die.
It can be seen that the blades have certainly caught Olrox’s neck, but----- that is only an after image and the vampire is already at Death’s back.
    “……die.”
That was said by the enemy who called on his servants.
From the surrounding space, a group of purple bats rose, passed by Olrox’s arm with the speed of a bullet, attacking Death. However, Death did not show any gesture of avoiding them. He simply faced Olrox and sprayed out numerous scythes.
The bats and scythes cancelled each other out and the entire dance hall sparkled with blood."

    “Only…… protect…… you……-----“
When he said those words he must say, the man’s soul already left his body-----becoming one of the floating spirits that wander the halls of the castle.
    However-----

Those were the emotionless words of Death.

Akumajo Dracula: Kabuchi no Tsuisoukyoku "Ever since the Middle Ages, every 100 years, this legendary castle would rise together with its master Count Dracula ----- And whenever it happens, it is said that a clan of vampire hunters will seal it.
